I found this company on Facebook. Looked at all the pictures they posted of their woodworking and loved what I saw. I messaged the shop asking many questions about a custom sized square coffee table with a drawer. They said they could do it gave me a price and a lot of many of stains and colors to choose from. I put my deposit down, ordered the table with the measurements I needed, and it is beautiful better than what I could’ve ever imagined. I am extremely happy and would definitely Order from them again

I’ll start by saying that placing our order, choosing the style, colors, etc. all went smoothly and Tori was great to work with! We knew when we ordered it would be a pretty long wait but got a little frustrated when the delivery date changed a few times (my reason for deducting one star). Other than that minor inconvenience, once everything was delivered (the guys who delivered were very courteous and careful!) and we’ve been using our furniture for over a week, we can say it was definitely worth the wait! We ordered a large island, buffet table, and TV stand and all pieces are beautiful, functional, and appear to be very well-made. Our house finally feels complete and we are very happy! Thank you Little Rustic Shop.

DO NOT order from this company. I ordered and paid for a basic hall tree in October. It is now May and they still have not completed it. They give you a date then another then another. They keep taking new orders and posting pieces for sale online when they haven't completed orders that have been paid for. They will not give me my money back. I wanted to support a small business but they've been dishonest and full of excuses. I wish I could give 0 stars!

I was looking for a custom bar for my basement and was beyond thrilled to see the final product as it was exactly what I was looking for. I was happy to see a small family opened business able to provide such quality furniture for a great price. Little Rustic Shop made the process easy from discussing the measurements/colors to final delivery. We had a week delay from our original delivery date but even the team that delivered and setup was great to work with. Thank you again!

We have worked with Mark and team on 3 different sets of projects. The first project was 2 years ago for a custom bathroom cabinet as well as custom floating shelves for both bathrooms we were renovating. The next project was one year ago that included a custom entertainment unit for family room with matching coffee table and end tables. LRS also made us a window bench and printers cabinet for my home office. Most recently a beautiful China cabinet for our kitchen and island. Lastly, custom Adirondack chairs for our backyard patio.Our friends and family truly love all of our custom pieces and we receive so many compliments. Each time we ordered the eta for completion and delivery took longer than originally estimated but it’s completely understandable when the shop is making each piece from scratch. Their workmanship and attention to detail makes the wait worthwhile. We would like to thank the LRS team for making my vision for our home come to life.

We found a table on their Facebook page that was already sold but we fell in love with. We reached out to see if they had any similar ones that would be for sale soon and to our luck, they did! We were able to pick the colors and picked it up less then a week later. Very fair price and a great experience.

This company is amazing I know sometimes it does take time for them to get product done but I have been dealing with these guys for a long time and no matter what, they are people of there word. For what they do they make a quality product for a reasonable price. I think that they are the best price out there for custom woodwork and that is why they are so busy and that why it takes the time it does. This company will never take advantage of anybody and will go above and beyond to satisfy the customer even if they take a loss. Great people! Thank you

NEWEST UPDATE 11/21/23: almost December and still nothing, dates keep getting moved again.. excuse after excuse-mainly they staff shortages, material shortages, obstacles, etc.. same excuses all year. Was “supposed” to be done the week of 11/13 being I told them I wanted the table top for the holidays- they couldnt promise for it to be done prior to Thanksgiving- now its “supposed “ to be done befor Christmas. Not sure how they just cant fit me into their list of jobs that need to be finished!NEW UPDATE9/26/23: Its now almost October and again nothing. Date for my new table top keeps getting moved out since APRIL! Always some issue that they can not control. 🙄UPDATE: Finally got them to understand my frustrations, they agreed to make me another table top, expected for Jan 16(I assumed it was due to my negative google review)… hearing from then again in Feb explaining they are so busy but didnt forget about me. And would you look at that April 8 and have heard NOTHING from them. Reaching out to them first thing Monday morning and the speaking to the CC company to see what my options are!First let me start by saying, I live in central NJ- someone in town said they had a great experience with Little Rustic Shop. I was in the market for a new table, wanted a 10ft farmhouse table, nothing from big box companies. I like to support small businesses!Tori was very nice and helpful in taking our order- I even ordered a matching shelving unit while there! I was given a 2 month production wait for the table and shelving, with the option of delivery for a extra charge. This was Jan.’22. When I hadnt heard from them by April, I reached out and Tori said May 2nd. When I hadn’t heard from them in May, Tori said it would be completed 2nd week of July. July came and went and finally after getting the run around I was given a delivery date of August 18. They delivered on the date expected with only one person, thankfully my husband was home to help bring the furniture in. We paid the $125 for delivery. After only having the table 1 month, the seams started to split(I had told them I wanted seamless table, as I didnt want crumbs or liquid to get into the gaps). I explained to them what happened and they suggested to fix it by unscrewing the screws and clamping the table and screwing the screw back in, I couldn’t belive I had to buy clamps to fix a table, as well as fix their poor production. I have had many things custom made and never had to fix it myself. This was poor craftsmanship. They expressed they could not come fix the table because of the distance and I could bring the table back(right, I had them deliver it because I had no way of getting a 10 FOOT TABLE home) and they were doing what they could to help. As “they do not anticipate this happening but does happen here and there due to being a rustic farmhouse and wood expands and contracts due to weather” after I was voicing my frustration as to waiting 8 months for a table that now needs to be fixed after having it for a month. I now have to hire someone to fix the table, the whole table needs to be taken apart and rebuilt-their easy suggestions are not so easy! I damaged the outside of the table using the clamps! Extremely disappointed in their customer service, they clearly do not stand behind their work! Annoyed I had to give 1 star! They deserve none!

Ordered a dining room table and hall tree in January, was given a date of completion of mid March. And then came the lies, completion dates pushed back weekly. We put up with it until May and finally requested a refund through Venmo disputes. Don’t waste your time or money, you won’t get the product.

I ordered a 9ft long cabinet that I wanted to look like a built-in piece, along with some floating shelves. It was just delivered last week and although we waited 6 months for delivery, we are so happy with our purchase. Sturdy and well made, the cabinet is exactly what we wanted and exactly what we ordered. We designed the style, bought special hardware we loved, and chose the paint color. The price was so reasonable too. Please look at the Little Rustic Shop’s catalog of what is possible and dream up what you want and they will build it. You will be so happy you did!!!

This company are a bunch of crooks! They come off as very nice people in person and have all this patriotic attire in their shop but they have MULTIPLE ORDERS that they haven't fulfilled and then they will block you from social media when you try to speak up against it. They string you along during the time period for a dispute to be put in with whatever service you use to pay them and tell you "the furniture will be completed by this date" and once that time frame is up, they cut off communication with you. They are either paying people to post these other good reviews and pictures or they just fulfill some orders so that they can have some people leave a good review. It's ashame because the furniture in the pictures look nice.

Very similar to all the other 1-2 star reviews. Believe what you read is allI can say. I have been waiting for my order since January 2023. There are NO refunds. Pretty sure I was scammed but today, the staff reached out and they said order completion is projected for April 2024. I am not holding my breathe considering I have waited OVER A YEAR for order completion. Over the last 14 months, I have been given projected order completion times but all of those times came and went. I still want my order that I paid for so I will continue to wait patiently BUT I sure as hell learned my lesson to be very cautious of what small businesses to support in the future. I am giving 2 stars only because the staff who responds to messages on Facebook has at least responded to me appropriately when I have expressed my concerns about the longevity of the order tardiness.

Negative 10 Stars! This Company is a disgrace and I don't know how they are still in business. They likely are using new order money to pay their rent and employees but unable to fulfill more than 5 orders per month (at best). My story is the same as everyone else...- Ordered customer dining room table and matching buffet in May 2022. Was told 10-12 weeks.- August 2022 came and went- Finally delivered in February 2023 after MULTIPLE reschedules and excuses. The table was incorrect (not per my order) and the quality was TRASH of both the table and buffet. The pine wood utilized began to separate on the table top shortly after, the extensions on table were unsturdy and not usable. The buffet doors were made with PLYWOOD thus the stain looked like TRASH. I was told by an expert in woodwork that they could have used different techniques to prevent the table top from separating like it did but the owner, Mark Dougherty, insists his techniques are fine.*This is where I went wrong. I should have NEVER accepted delivery of the table. I did so assuming they would fix the inaccuracy and not realizing the poor quality*- In August 2023, I agreed to allow them to fix the table but I should have known I was dealing with scammers and I would never get a quality completed product. I was told 3 weeks (ha ha, laughable).- On 10/31/2023, I told them they had until the end of November to deliver me my products completed to my specifications and what we agreed on or else I would file a dispute in small claims court. I never heard back from this after this!

I ordered a full dining set, two end tables and a coffee table. Tori was very understanding and friendly! She was able to get my order completed before my daughter’s party. My husband and I are very impressed with their craftsmanship. Communication was up to par. I got a lot of compliments and would definitely order from this shop again. Highly recommend Littlerusticshop! I couldn’t be anymore happier and I was really impressed with her work.She definitely delivered!

I've been waiting since August of 2022 for my order. I started getting completion dates in October 2022. It's the same excuse every time, we're not on track for this week. They won't give refunds since it's custom made...the order hasn't even been started. Today when messaging again this was the response "Listen Cynthia I am not going to go back and forth with you. The bottom line is we are doing everything we can. My guys are working their butts off to get caught up on our orders. I will reach out in a few days with a new completion date." Lacks professionalism all around. Do your research before ordering. Check the BBB complaints. It's not worth the aggravation.***Update 5/2024... I have not heard anything from them since November 2023 and after 16 rescheduled completion dates my attorney sent a demand letter and then filed with Small Claims Court, and just like their furniture, they didn't show up***

I ordered unfinished stools in October did not get them till April they were supposed to be on an Estes truck then Amazon, I paid $260.00 for shipping just for them to be shipped Ups for $49.87 . Even the Ups driver was surprised by it. I'm waiting for my $210.00 .

I recently purchased numerous pieces of furniture from Little Rustic Shop. The prices were very reasonable and the craftsmanship was evident. They are extremely friendly to work with and communicate with their customers in a timely manner. They also held furniture for me for months on end because my new house wasn’t done being built yet with all the covid delays. I would definitely recommend this small business and will definitely be contacting them in the near future to create new pieces for my back yard.

Update: it's now 1/24/24. - still no word of product being finished. This company is a joke and continue to give the run around. Will be following up in small claims. It's not about the money it's more about the poor business, and other customers that are being screwed over.Update to 11/30/23- coming up on 8 months. Still no answers and more excuses. I've asked for a refund several times with no cooperation. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY ! I have previously used them to make furniture for my home 3 years ago and have referred friends and family to them but they are now horrible.7 months later. Still waiting for my furniture. Paid in full and was given a specific time frame. Now being told a million different stories, but they have plenty of furniture to post for sale on their Facebook. They should probably focus on making the orders that are paid for.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! We purchased a bedframe, dresser and kitchen table w/3 stools back in July 2023 and paid in full by mid August. We were originally told 4-6 weeks and since then have been given multiple new dates for completion and/or delivery. Yes, Tori seems to be very nice and always comes up with a different excuse, however she also doesn't stand by her word and follow up like she says or stays in contact with updates. Many times she promised she'd reach out by a specific date and NEVER did, I always followed up with her. Their last chance was the end of Dec 2023 when they told me the items wouldn't be completed until the beginning of 2024 and they have a plan in place to get them all caught up by mid January. I was told the week of Jan 15th and she would reach out by Wed to finalize delivery for Fry (1/19/24.) Guess what?!?!?! Wed came and went not a peep...so I followed up later Wed evening and again Thursday am, to which a reply was finally sent telling me the order will not be completed and ready for Friday (1/19/24.) I have asked for progress pics, but was told they cannot be sent b/c order is in production. I have since been blocked from their FB and IG for warning people! GOOGLE 'LITTLE RUSTIC SHOP REVIEWS BLACKWOOD NJ' before placing your order, then make your final decision! I am currently disputing 2 of the 4 payments with Venmo (2 of them are outside of the 180 day window to dispute) I assume the business is aware of this policy so they lead people to believe they will follow through with their order and then they are past the dispute window. Next stop is BBB and IRS to see what they have to say.***2/5/2024 UPDATE***Venmo closed my disputes and the decision was in my favor, literally minutes after Venmo emailed me (2/5/24 12:57p), the shop emails me (2/5/24 1:02p) letting me know Venmo refunded me but they cannot refund me for the balance and asking what I would like to do to work something out to complete my order.My Response:'What do you guys get notifications when Venmo reimburses people you have scammed?No need to keep me informed, I stay on top of my finances.I'll proceed with the local PD, IRS and BBB to see how they would like to address the fraudulent operations you guys have running like a well oiled machine.I will continue to add reviews to multiple platforms so others are aware how terrible of an operation you folks run, can't even call it a business.I want no parts of these shady shenanigans.Prayers for all involved as one day you will have to answer for these actions.THIS IS SUCH A DISGRACE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN SHUT DOWN YET!!!!

LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS AND DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I placed my order in Jan 2023 (14+ months ago). I was told it would be done in 12 weeks (so, April-ish). I figured that seemed too quick, so I waited until end of Apr/beginning of May to follow up. That's where are the lies started (well, I guess the initial promise was a lie as well).I was told in May that the week of June 12th would be completion. I pushed it to June 19th (I wouldn't be home and I figured hey they now have an extra week). Hahahahahahahahaha! Week of June 19th came and went. I was told my new date was some week in July BECAUSE SOMEONE QUIT THE WEEK BEFORE!!!!! Hahaha so that put you a month behind??? LIES!!!! So, of course, that date cane and went then I was promised a week in August. LIES!!! In that phone conversation I was told "I didn't have to be rude" WHAT?!?!?! Yes, actually I now do because you guys are ridiculous. And YES, I paid IN FULL when I placed my order because Tori is a good liar and seemed on the level. So, once the September promise was broken, I laid off for a while hoping that I'd be pleasantly surprised by a random email saying my item was done. No such email came.I emailed them when it was a year since I ordered. Of course, I was promised February then. LIES!!!! Bye bye February, hello March.It is March 30th, 2024, no email to say ANYTHING, just me always emailing them. And of course every time I email I get the "oh let me check with them". Ummm I was there in your office before, I know that ALL you'd have to do is go thru the door and ask...and you could've done that PRIOR to responding. That's how an honest person would do things. Oh and I also said I wanted to speak with the owner, I was denied that. Idk who that is but obviously another poor excuse of a worker. I truly hate leaving poor reviews for small businesses, but folks, you've GOT to go elsewhere. DO NOT waste your time, money, and energy on these folks. Sadly, they're not worth it. They give small businesses a bad name.

We still have not received what we paid for and I was told they are out of capital. They are using money from new orders to make the old orders. Don’t get scammed like we did!!

I also waited a long time, beyond the target date, for my set. I was worried that I might not receive it.... I did not like that at all, but my 5 star review is based on the product.My dining set- which was right around 1k in price including a bench and 2 chairs- arrived after paying in full 6 months prior. It is beautiful, seems well made, is a larger custom measurement (beyond standard) and very detailed.I think not having a pay in full policy up front would remove a lot of stressors in this transaction. Maybe pay half up front? And be realistic about the delivery dates.It would be better to say "we anticipate a few months, but it could be longer" This might ease a lot of uncertainty. Also, I think that would leave the door open for repeat business. However, as far as my satisfaction with the product- it is beautiful, and for the price- I feel like it is worth the wait. Other custom craftsman are much more expensive, as is "cookie cutter" show room furniture.My dining area is now my favorite room in the house.

I wasn't going to do a review but I think with the bad quality and bad customer service I had to. I ordered furniture from them back in Jan 2021 and did not receive it until August 2021. I was told it was because of COVID but in reality, after I contacted another customer who order in April-May and was picked up in July, did I find out they were skipping me and doing bigger orders but blaming Covid. Not sure if they forgot about my order or what but for a sofa table and 2 very small end tables, it's not like it was a hard job. That is their base products.Now within 5 months of getting the furniture it is yellowing and coming apart. I really believe due to making a quick job since they were skipping my order for larger ones and I finally complained, they were not focused on quality at all. I'm going to have to repaint and fix their shabby work. I ordered 3 pieces and there is something wrong with them all.Their furniture looks nice in pictures but give it 5 months and it's going to fall apart and yellow.

FRADULUENT COMPANY!!!DO NOT PAY BEFORE RECEIVING YOUR ITEM!!!I found this company through Facebook Marketplace and messaged an individual named Mark Dougherty to custom build me a dining bench. Mark had me pay for the bench through Venmo to secure the deal, which I kindly did (as they appear legit on social media because they can silence and block the people they scammed there). Immediately after payment, Mark blocked me on social media and the messages disappeared. The timeframe that I was told to build the bench came and went, and I had no way to contact Mark! Afterwards, I found an individual named Tori Garwood offering the same furniture for sale, messaged her for an update on the bench that I ordered through Mark, and then received excuse after excuse why the bench that I ordered was never made and how communication wasn't blocked, but that it was a Facebook issue (LOL). Tori kept delaying week by week (their scheme to prevent you from filing a Venmo or credit card dispute until its too late). Tori also was persistent that I'd call to speak over the phone, but I refused (get everything in writing through email/chat to support your claim later as other reviewers reveal these people just feed you a sob story over the phone). I Googled their company after I became suspicious and found these horrible reviews, very similar to what I went through. I demanded a refund, but of course Tori advised they had no money to refund. I filed a dispute through Venmo (make sure you initially pay with buyer protection if you do decide to give away free money to this business) and provided evidence of our conversations to Venmo. During the dispute process, these horrible people tried to tell Venmo that they made the bench that I ordered, attempted to contact me numerous times, and that I refused to pick it up (LIARS with no evidence to back up their story of course!). Steer clear from these fools and their malicious business practices. Venmo did refund me and they are aware of their scheme. Also, look at their Venmo payment history, they transfer your payments to personal accounts after they receive your money. This has to be the Bernie Madoff of furniture ponzi scheme based off all of their reviews and simple Venmo digging. I'm just surprised they're not in jail yet!Bless your heart Little Scammer Shop!
