We are always on a lookout for best icecream. I am so glad we found something so close to our home. Their ice creams are delicious. We always take home a tub of vanilla bean icecream while we try new flavors at the shop. I also like their chocolate and coffee flavors. My husband prefers vanilla but recently tried the cookie dough flavor and loved it.

Very good home made ice cream with a nice variety of flavors. I like a lot of my flavors with chocolate chips and they had banana with chocolate chip and cappuccino chocolate chip so I was very happy. If you're in the area you will definitely want to visit or if you're an ice cream connoisseur you want to check the place out.

This place is a straight 5. Excellent ice cream selection - unique with many options, great aesthetic and the ice cream was just GOOD. I had wild blueberry, banana cream pie and s'mores. All superb.

A great staple in Bernardsville. I hope this place never closes! It is very obvious it is more than just an ice cream store. It is homemade ice cream - creamy and delicious. I can tell the difference. I would say it is one of the best ice cream places in the near area. I love the signature Swedish fish at the top.

Penguin is the perfect neighborhood ice cream shop. My wife and I would drive out of our way to come here and now that we live in the area, we have started walking here with our baby and dog to get everyone a little treat. Even our little greyhound gets dessert when we come here as they have dog treat ice cream sandwiches.That said, the humans love it too. With interesting and classic flavors and a high quality product, you couldn't ask for more from an ice cream shop. However it is also the friendly and efficient staff that makes this place run as well as it does. I'm a big fan of both the people and the product here at Penguin.

February is a great time for ice cream! My wife and I got the coffee oreo and it was great; not too sugary or over powering. We would absolutely go back for this home made ice cream. "Cow to cone in 4 days"

Best homemade ice cream we have had in a very long time. (Coffee chip & chocolate mint) Very sweet Scoopers on duty also.Granddaughter loved the high stools and sidewalk chalk. We made it a round trip train ride from Summit and walked across the street, very convenient.

Excellent ice cream. If it's crowded, it can be a little hard to find parking that's right next to it. But there is a big lot across the street that you can use, if you can find anything else

One of my favorite ice-cream spots, full stop. High quality homemade goodies with a Swedish fish on top of every serving! Fair prices and tons of delicious flavors. They don't skimp on the cookie dough in the cookie dough ice cream either. If I am in the area, I visit no matter what!

My husband and I found this place yesterday bc this 🤰🏻lady was craving blueberry ice cream. It was SO GOOD!! My husband got espresso ice cream with Oreos and he really loved it. They put a Swedish fish in every cone or cup (they do ask first 😃) which I think is a really cute concept. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is one of the best things about Bernardsville. All their ice cream is homemade and absolutely delicious! You can get chocolate waffle cones when available, which is a great option. Every flavor I've had here has been incredible, with no exceptions. They also make ice cream cakes in house.Also, most importantly, they have stuffed penguins all throughout the shop. Like everywhere. It's the small things, really.Can't wait to visit again!

The rating is not for the quality of ice cream is more for the service it provides. It seems like management can't put it together on making sure Vanilla Ice cream is available for the Customers. Its been a issue they been having for a long time. How does this Ice cream shop continuously fall short on providing Vanilla ice cream to their customers? Its the most common flavor and one would think to always have it available but no is not. There hours of operation is up till 9pm but by the time 6pm comes along Hard Vanilla Ice cream is not available. Is this the new norm? One would now have to call and reserve there ice cream before it runs out ? Get it together Penguin!!! Vanilla flavor is the most common ice cream and need to be avaliable at All Time! Point period.

The new owners change the recipe of the ice cream. It is so much better than before. It's what ice cream used to taste like before all the processing and chemicals, well done. New owners so nice and family oriented.

Great local ice cream place and a must go to if in the area... Small quaint without much outdoor seating but the ice cream more then makes up for that.. Fantastic flavors with a cute touch of including a swedish fish on top... Our dog also loves the ice cream treat they make :-)

The Penguin Ice Cream has great ice cream and excellent service. The owner was there himself on the weekend and the server was great. They even had a stool so that small children could look in the window to pick their ice cream. I loved this place. Ice Cream was great too.

Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Ordered a custom ice cream cake and hand packed pints. The ice cream is delicious and the custom cake worth the extra effort over store bought any day.

Very good tasting ice cream here. I've tried many ice cream places since moving to jersey a few years ago. This place is definitely in my top 3.
