Did not go to the trails so I can't comment on that, but I did check out a photo exhibit in their gallery which was cool and I was able to speak with the photographer (nice guy). The observatory was closed unfortunately (not sure why). The gift shop was cute, and had two turtles and a snake. The woman in the gift shop seemed really uncomfortable with my presence though and didn't respond when I said hello. She also avoided eye contact with me. 😐 Ed however did tell me a bit about the bears that occasionally visit so that was nice of him.

Nice out the way hiking trails. It has a streams and over 300 acres of land. The Center, located in the foothills of the Highlands, boasts an environmental learning center, tree-top level observation deck, bookstore, and exhibits. They have a bird-feeding station next to the building and is a popular attraction for birds and bird-watchers, and can be viewed in comfort from the inside of the building. We Volunteered to help control the Japanize Junipers that are very invasive. The includes one of the staff at the Sanctuary.

An amazing bird sanctuary tucked away in north jersey, definitely worth the trip to check out so many exotic birds especially if you’re a bird watcher, there is plenty of parking and nice trails if you want to go hiking on some easy trails

Wonderful birding place with nice trails. The trail markings could be better but all in all was great.

Great facility with a wonderful purpose. We just joined last week and attended our 1st educational event yesterday, and were very impressed with the knowledge their naturalist, Dorothy, shared with us.

I love to visit the preserve for a long hike. The center has a wonderful nature store for a wide variety of things like bulk birdseed, bird feeders, houses, books for kids and adults, binoculars, and a wide range of gifts. My son attended the Nature Camp when he was younger and loved it. Great naturalists there.

Visited this to go for a walk in the woods. The trails are very, very poorly marked and we ended up doing a 3 mile hike. If you plan to go on the trails, pay very close attention to the trail markers as they are few and far between. A plus is that there are very few people here, so you have the trails to yourself.

I Was Here recently for a meeting of a local photo Club so I can't speak much about the facility itself. I was there once many many years ago and I remember that the people were very helpful and they had nice walking trails. I can't say what the condition of the trails are right now because I was there at night. But I would like to go back there during the day and see what they have to offer

So far when I've visited here, I've only explored their trails - of which there are a lot! I haven't yet been able to join events hosted here or see the visitor center, but certainly hope to soon. The Audubon Society here keeps a lot of bird feeders and a variety of birdhouses on the premises, allowing you to catch glimpses of all sorts of cuties - sparrows, robins, bluebirds, warblers, wrens, and swallows, just to name a few. I love visiting here and will be back often!

A hidden gem for anyone looking to get into birdwatching or interesting in inviting more wildlife into their yard. The ladies in the shop are extremely helpful & there is a little observation deck upstairs

A nice hiking and educational destination, and the store has great products including the best bird seed Beyond any from grocery stores or even Pet Shops. A very pleasant and Cooperative staff. Any weird capitalization or Punctuation here is my smart phone, not me!

Great preserve for a walk, my son loved the nature camp and I enjoy the presentations and workshops. Also, the shop is a great place to get bird seed, nature guides, children's nature themed books and bird/bat houses.

Nice trails but not well marked at all! Once in a while you will see a tree with spray paint of a color, but I only saw two-three on a trail. A shame bc it would be a great place.

Such a lovely place for a walk, or to sit & listen, leaving the stress of the world in the parking lot. Great birdseed, photographs, books & other items for sale in the gift shop.

Store empty except for my wife and me, and the staffer. Well stocked. Could try out binoculars (they are then quarantined). Explored maybe 5% of grounds. Tons of birds.

Quite hiking trails. Even if you can't hike visit the gift shop and sit indoors and watch the bird feeders. Great friendly staff.
