I have been out of work for 2 weeks with an illness and because of that don't have alot of money at the moment. Yesterday 1/5/24 at around 1pm I went to the dollar tree /family dollar in Bayville NJ with my son because I needed medicine . I had a $1.25 in change rolled up but when I handed it to the cashier she said she could not take it and told me to come back when I had actual money. I started to leave when she said " nevermind I'll take it." After she ring up the sale she then rang up my son's order while I waited for him. She then said " what do you want now?" I told her that her next customer was my son and I was waiting on him. My son paid with a $20.00 bill. To which she commented that it was funny how my son had money but I couldn't afford to shop there. I went to my car so upset I cried for awhile before I could drive home. Her name was Tracy and i have never had such a horrible cashier. I worked in customer service for 15 years and would never treat someone that way. I'll never shop there again

Terrible store! The manager sherry is awful and doesn’t know how to do her job and help a customer do a return! Don’t shop here!

Frustrating. Apple pay never works and if you forget your reusable bags.. GIANT poles attached to the shopping carts so you can not bring them to your car to unload your items….uggg. Huge disservice to your customers!! Hire more people to keep track of the carts ..if deserted carts are an issue! Which furthermore, will create more jobs!! Lastly, when items are significantly marked down.. the management and employees buy the entirety of it, as I observed on one of my visits to this establishment. A fellow shopper was very & understandably, upset about this. The closing manager was carrying box-loads for herself to the register. I have managed stores from medial to high luxury brands and this would never be permitted. Paying customers come first.

Rude service! Asked for helium to fill up balloons and was told the “manager keeps track of the helium tank and can not fill up my balloons. I offered to buy the same amount of balloons to compensate the store but still denied. Thanks my daughter was really disappointed

This place has the deals let me tell you! I just got outdoor cushions for chairs for $8 each , they are reversable and finished in the USA, I've also gotten curtains here on sale and really good deals on household items , I just wish you could take the carts out of the store but it definitely stops me from spending too much lol

Nothing in Family Dollar is a dollar, but they have a great selection of items. The other side of the store is a dollar store.

I love the staff but they have way to much to do for such a light staff, and yet they're never harried or nasty, just the opposite! I'm giving the store itself three stars because it's messy.

Love Dollar stores,this 1 is no different. I was surprised to see how many products they had, especially those of which you don't expect to be in a dollar store, as well as some name brands!!
