Love this place! Lots of friendly staff, lots of good food choices for your pets, love the self grooming option for your pet! $10!!!! You bathe them yourself, my wife and I use it as our pet date with momma and poppa ❤️🐶. All pets are welcomed and I love the VIP Vet that come over a month awesome team!

Pet valu is a great place for all of your animals needs. I have brought my dog of 105 llbs to the self washing station here and she loves it. They have towels and dryers, shampoos and conditioners available for wash. They also have a loyalty/rewards program that is great if your always buying pet food.

Just finished washing my three dogs here and it was an easy and fast process compared to other places. Anywhere else it would have cost 60 or more for 3 dogs to be washed and here it was only 10 for each dog. Not ever crowded which is another plus and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Great experience

Went to the dog wash yesterday at this location - AMAZING. They give you everything (bring your own brush) and clean up for you - what else can you ask for. The staff was super helpful - he helped me get set up with my Golden and made everything super easy. Definitely going back here with my Husky 👍🏽

Great place for pet products. Healthy and natural for your pets, including the other shelf brands. Reasonable prices for top shelf brands; they even stock fresh frozen organic meats for at home prep. Helpful and pleasant staff. They also provide periodic in store veterinary care for your pets shots and check-up.

We went for food for our turtle🐢. They had the pellets but no feeder fish. I was very surprised that a pet shop chain does not carry 🐟. The pet shop seems like it's been around from the beginning of time🤣... It's not modern but they do have a rewards program, so make sure to join... Every discount helps. While I was on line, the lady in front of me had a $10 reward on her account. Looks like she goes regularly for dog food and it racks up points because dog food is not cheap.

Great store. Lots of selections and the staff is very nice and helpful. They recently renovated to include a dog wash station. And they usually have a few kitties from a shelter set up in a nice little spot in order to get some adoptions!

I always go here. They have so much to offer for your fur baby. Dog, cat even a corner for smaller animals. They expanded their store over the summer and now have dog washing stations. They're roomy to fit the biggest dogs, have steps for senior dogs to make getting in and out of the tubs easier on them and you. All kinds of shampoos you can use, or bring your own. FYI, yes they are included in the price, which is cheap especially compared to a groomer. The staff are all very friendly and willing to help, answer your questions. Many of them know me by site when I walk in the door :). They have adoption events, vet clinics, lots of fund raisers for really worthy animal causes. They carry a wide selection of food, OTC medications for your fluff baby, toys, treats, even coats when winter rolls around. Prices are only slightly higher than a Petco or Petsmart but not by much and not on all things. I love this store, I find so many great things for my fur baby. Well worth the trip. Oh and they do allow you to bring your pets into the store. On a leash and behaving, but they love animals. Just a nice place 💖🐶

My husband just came from the store to get flea prevention medicine for our dog. Not only was the woman working there unfriendly but down right rude to him. Every question he asked she had a nasty response. She tried to sell him flea medicine that caused $65 and when he asked about something cheaper, she then proceeded to tell him that he should be careful using flea medicine on a dog that small. Was she mad he wanted something cheaper or just mad to be working????My husband then went to Walmart and got different brand but exactly the same ingredients for $5.

My son and I were looking to spend a couple of hundred dollars on the kitty so he said let's go to Pet Valu. Walked in and the two workers were gushing all over this white couple who had just bought one item! I waited to see if anyone would ask if we needed help, that never happened! They didn't even acknowledge that we were even in the store! Kept talking to each other, not even a hello, nothing! I gave them a full 15 minutes, nothing! Well they don't have to worry bout my black behind spending a dime in their store ever! Went over to mom and pop pet store on 440 and Kellog street bought $400 worth of kitty stuff! Prejudice is alive and well in Bayonne, NJ Pet Valu!

Went in to buy a couple of treats for my dog. I guess my time wasn't important enough because I got to the counter just before the customer the owner was helping and was asked to step aside so she could ring up the other customer. I consider this rude.

When someone stole our puppy .. the girl at the register helped me cause I was crying by calling the people regarding the chip being activated.. cause I was unable to talk she even said flyers can be put up to help out I wish I got her name before I left but I was in so much distress i walked out thanked her and appreciated her efforts
