I recently took my dog to Doggy Spa for grooming, -I used to bring my dog Chloe there for years and recently bought my dog Kobe. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed both times. The first visit was a disaster, but I decided to give them another chance, only to be let down once again.The grooming services provided were horrible. Not only did my dog come back looking like he had been groomed in the dark, but the staff also seemed disinterested in their work. They claimed he was too active to be cut.The customer service was also lacking. The staff appeared indifferent and unprofessional, showing little concern for the dissatisfaction I expressed. My puppy is seven months old. They claimed if they move forward with cutting him, he will hate grooming. Both times I paid $70 for him to be left looking like a disaster.Overall, my experiences at Doggy Spa were extremely disappointing. After the first time they couldn’t cut him, They said that the second time they would be able to get to no avail. I feel like I have been lied to, and my dog came back like a disaster. WHAT IS THIS??!!!!

Was recommended to this place and I’m in complete disgust ! My lil fur nephew went in for a full spa day. To then come out looking like they didn’t even wash him . No cut, no trimming, nothing ! Was told they couldn’t handle his 5 lbs of fluff due to the incapability of knowing how to handle a anxious puppy ! So disappointed will NOT RECOMMEND !

Spoke to the gentleman at the counter making sure he can cut golden retrievers he said yes then i explain to him and the girl 3+ times exactly what I wanted they said no problem. Then I went to pick him up and they did exact opposite and cut off all his hair. Unprofessional staff no wonder why last couple reviews are all 1 star.

Doggy Spa did such an amazing job with our Pomapoo Pancake. She’s only 5 months and afraid of new people but the groomers made her comfortable, they spoke in a calm voice and gave her treats. Pancake looks fabulous and she feels so pretty. Price was reasonable and service was great and timely! I highly recommend Doggy Spa ♥️

My dogs are use to being groomed however, my larger dog had a bad experience with their past groomer and gave me a very hard time entering their establishment again. The smaller dog would laydown so I wouldn't be able to take him inside. I canceled their appointments and searched for another place in a haste. I found Doggy spa and asked if I could sit around to see if the dogs will be ok going in. The staff is understanding, welcoming and beyond friendly to the dogs. They automatically provide comfort to your pets which is reassuring when you have had bad experiences with groomers in the past. My dogs now dart right in as if they are going to the doggy park. I absolutely love this place.

Thank you for a best first impression. I will be definitely coming back. Jasmine was amazing at the front end making me comfortable to leave my puppy “Oreo”. The staff did an outstanding job overall.

I used to bring my dog here, whenever I would bring her home she behaved weirdly, depressed and abrupt movements. She was either always shaved or came back with a very choppy and uneven cut. They would also keep my dog up to 5 hours at times.

i gave them a matted, rescued, old, little weirdo and they gave me a beautiful princess 😍 loved this place, probably my go to from now on. prices were good too, even gave her an amazing blueberry facial (which lasted about 3hrs before she got into some trash)

My dog has been going to this place ever since she’s with 3 months old! My mom knew the owner and the owner absolutely loved her and my dog! I still take my dog to this doggy day spa. My good friend works here as a dog groomer AndThey take care of my baby so well!

Cannot rave enough about this place. Had an appointment today for my senior pup that had matting on the back of her legs. Instead of just doing whatever they wanted to my pup, they took the time to listen about my concerns and how I would like to salvage some of the fur on my pup’s back legs. When I picked her up, she looked better than my expectations. They went above and beyond to take the time to groom and brush my pup’s fur. I don’t know why I ever went to another groomers (that ruined my dogs fur) before this! I’ll def only be coming here in the future.

My and my mother’s dog passed away while in Doggy Spa care on 05/16/2020. My mom and I took our small dog, Kiara, for a 9am appt: wash and trim. We were told it would take 2-2 1/2 hours to complete these two tasks. We thought it odd, as our dog weighs just 10lbs, but we did not question it.A few minutes past 10:30 we received a phone call from a woman demanding if our dog has seizures. Our Kiara has never had a seizure, we both responded immediately, “No, never!” The woman snapped back at us that she was having a seizure and we have to return. Then she just hung up on us. Traumatized, we flipped the car around to return to Doggy Spa. Not two minutes after the first phone call, we received another from the same woman. This time, there is a man in the background yelling at us demanding to know where we are. My mom told him that we are racing there, and I took the phone to explain that we are taking the fastest route, but Maps shows that we have eleven more minutes until arrival. The woman snapped at us and told us that if we cannot arrive sooner that we just will not have a dog anymore. After this horrific and inappropriate remark, she hung up on us, again. Immediately, I call them on my cell phone and give them permission to take our dog to the vet. In an instant, the woman hung up on me AGAIN. I called back right away to figure out where they were taking our little Kiara. She told me the office, and as I am repeating the name of the veterinarian to her, she hung up on me for the final time.We arrived at the veterinarian office a short moment later and were requested to transfer our dog’s records from our previous vet office (we are new to NJ) and to fill out some forms. While my mom is busy with this, I am looking to find one of the owners. Rather, a scared, young girl repeatedly tells me that she is sorry and overwhelmed and scared and felt so bad. Still in shock and with so many unanswered questions, my mom and I are asked to go to the back room to meet with our dog and the veterinarian. The vet explained to us that our dog showed no signs of a seizure—our Kiara had no pre-existing health conditions. An employee interrupted us to inform us that the young girl’s employers told her to leave because she has to get back to work. We never even get to ask what happened.The veterinarian explained that she had an attack of panic or anxiety which can commonly happen in stressful environments. He informed us that our dog arrived at his office with a blue tongue, liquid in her lungs, dead. He tried every possible measure to get our sweet Kiara to respond, and heartbreakingly, she did not. According to him, she died from choking on her own vomit.Our Kiara had a wonderful Saturday morning before her appointment with Doggy Spa. We are early risers, so we had already gone on our morning walk and ate breakfast. The owners of Doggy Spa, after traumatizing a young employee, never reached out to us to learn about the well-being of our Kiara or us. This leads me to think that they knew our Kiara was dead before forcing the young employee to take her to the vet. They are careless, not professional, and heartless.In no way am I accusing the Doggy Spa of intentionally trying to harm or kill our dog. However, I am airing to the side of caution and informing the community of the owner’s lack of professionalism, safe grooming practices, and safety protocols and measures. A complete lack of communication and response risked our dog’s life during her most critical moment, and she was an innocent victim because of it.After speaking with the vet and vet employees, we wholeheartedly believe that our dog could have survived if proper measures were taken and she went to the vet as soon as she was showing signs of a panic attack. Our Kiara was no stranger to proper grooming from where we lived before. This was a devastatingly dark experience that I pray no one else is forced to endure. We have no other pets and are heartbroken.

I love Doggy Spa!!! My Lola is a very nervous high-strung Maltese and she always leaves there very calm and well taken care of. Marie (formerly of Dog Groomers Of New Jersey) is there on Thursdays and she always takes care of my lil baby!!! Saltanna has been taking care of Lola lately and is also aware of my Lola's needs. Highly recommend!!!

I have only taken my boys to this place twice, so far, and both times were great experiences. It is also good to know that the staff is friendly and the price is decent. I highly recommend this grooming place.

I had my first experience with Doggy Spa today, and was not disappointed. The lady who I dealt with, who I can only assume is the owner, was patient understanding, and kind. My dog is very nervous, and could not stick it out through the service and she was honest and patient. I will definitely be back.

Doggy Spa is the greatest. My dog is 14 years old and had a poop accident-I called them and was able to fit her in within 3 hours. The staff is professional and sympathetic-you know right away they love animals and their caring ways are felt as soon as you enter the place. I was going to Diamond Gromer next to C town for over 7 years and they can’t compare to Doggy Spa. My Lola found a new comfortable place she can go to. Thank you for making our experience a GREAT one ☝🏼 ❤️❤️❤️❤️🐶🐶🐶🐶

Took our furry boy to Doggy Spa after looking for groomers in Bayonne near me. Great experience. $50 for our yorkie very fast too. Called us 2 hours later that our boy was done.

Great friendly staff that seem to adore all types of dogs and aren't afraid of even some of the "scarier" breeds like my pitbull cuddle bug. Thanks for your good work and all your patience when we're inevitably late both dropping and picking him up. ;)

First time and sure won’t be our last. My pup smells so good and looks sooo fresh!! Very nice staff I walked in to get prices, they had a cancellation so they took us right in!! Highly recommend bringing your pup here!! He had a wash nails cut ears and teeth cleaned & he had a blueberry facial!!!

Love it here! It was my puppy’s first time being groomed and he came back looking handsome and smelling amazing for a great price. The staff were very warm and knowledgeable. My baby is a little shy, but they made sure to comfort him. We are definitely going back again :)

Dropped our glen terrier off there for a bath and a light trim. Showed the young lady what i wanted with the dog there. When i picked up rory i was shocked to see thatshe had been SHAVED..it is common knowledge that a double coated dog is NEVER shaved. Rory s beautiful blue merle coat is ruined forever. How a light trim and bath became a quick shave job i will never know. I said nothing at the shop because i cannot argue with a young lady.

Not sure what happened with Doggy Spa. For one they upped their prices. I have a small shiz zu and it used to cost $50. Recently it has been running me $65. I could see if I had a large dog but I think for shaving a small dog that is a bit steep. We ask them to shave him (especially his tail and around his face) he still has a decent amount of hair there when we pick him up. Not the friendliest people working there now a days.The two ladies that worked there years ago were super nice. Might start to look at other dog groomers.

Have been taking my dog here for over four years. They are good, he comes back pretty clean although they always miss his butt. Not great with nail cutting but my dog is a bit hyper and very strong so maybe it's just that. Overall a good place, quite affordable, he always come out looking very happy and smelling great.

Have been a customer for over 2 years now and they are fantastic. My 2 dogs are well-groomed and always smell so so good. They love it there. Prince Harry and Cody rushes to the door every time and run in like they own the place. Very professional establishment. I get compliments from strangers, other dog lovers and even their Vet on how they are well groomed.Thanks Doggy Spa. Great and friendly Staff.
