This has always been my favorite store. You can find very interesting things and get some great deals there. And the staff are very nice.

I came to this establishment with hopes of exchanging an item I purchased. The item came unwrapped and clearly used. A Hoy’s 5 & 10 employee refused to exchange or return it. She informed me of the circumstances of our situation with an agitated and disrespectful tone. When I then left with the item I had purchased in my previous visit I was accused of shoplifting and was asked to show this employee what I was holding. I was treated with this disrespect for no apparent reason other than what I suppose was the employee’s pms symptoms.

We were there 4 years ago, found everything we wanted for ourselves and for those we got souvenirs for, especially the mugs!!Recently I broke the mug I bought for myself, so I called Hoy's and the young lady who helped (I forgot her name) was superb not only did she send me pictures of the many mugs sold, she actually sent a picture of the exact one I broke, needless to say i was happy. My new mug was on it's way. She was an excellent representative of your store. We will be back. Covid19 really put a damper on things.

If you want a well-priced Avalon souvenir, you will find it here. Great clothing styles, and decor/tchockies in beach theme. Also a good supply of sundries in stock (home, auto, toys, supplies you may have forgotten to pack). Great shopping experience.

I've been coming to Hoy's in Avalon since I was very, very young, but I hadn't been in in at least ten years. I'm glad to see it's just as wonderful as I remember. Very reasonable prices on swimwear and souvenirs, a nice toy selection for the kiddos, and excellent, friendly customer service! I hope to be back soon!

Everything that you need and don't need to enjoy the beach and the town of Avalon. Shirts, tanks, sweaters, beach cover ups, sandals, water socks, sun glasses, sun screen, towels, beach bags, chairs, boogie boards and beach toys. Also, there is souvenirs, stationary, house hold goods, and kid toys. They have everything and it's all for a reasonable prices. They take card payment as well.

Nice place they carry a lot of good products such as Dial soap, toothpaste, and all that. No need to go all the way to Walmart for shopping for products such as clothing, toys, phone chargers, and more. They saved me from taking a trip before to get deodorant when I forgot my deodorant from back up in the more all the time busy part of Jersey area.

I don't understand the one review. So because your yappy girlfriend was on the phone the whole time you were in the store, the store gets a bad review? How is that the store's problem? How bout you post her name / picture and everyone can write a review about her and leave 2 stars (cause it sounds like that's about all she's worth). By the way, Hoy's is a great store and is an Avalon tradition for beach items, household / kitchen items and great board games / toys.

Hoy's has been around since I was young and I am in my 60's. My family use to go there for toys to get when it was raining out. It a wonderful store to visit and definitely worth the trip. Service is top rated.

The nicest staff at the Avalon location. Nice young guys, terrific ladies. All kinds of "stuff" from costly souvenirs to necessities! Thanksgiving sale is always a must.

Good value on beach items except my girlfriend was on her phone the entire time we were in the store. I got a frisbee and all she got was an earful from her college friend. I would come back if my girlfriend leaves her phone in the car next time.

The lady at Hoys (I believe the manager) was rude for absolutely no reason. We were just trying to look around for presents and she gave us a really really hard time. The attitude she gave us was horrible and she constantly came up to us with no respect whatsoever. NEVER shopping there again. Terrible experience 0/10. If I could give it negative stars I would.

This is a great old school 5 + 10 store. It brings me back to being a kid running through Woolworths. If you're in Avalon or Stone Harbor I would highly recommend going to Hoy's for any of your shopping needs.

Great store to get any random thing you may need at the beach. There is also a huge selection of toys for the beach or rainy days. There's everything from clothing to hardware.

They didn't have ANY of the inflatable pool seats/toys anymore. Most of the men's size 12 sandals worth buying were sold out.

Hoys!!!! If you dont know this is the coolest street in ohio! The basement hides a huge comic book section! Also open to the public Nd most are only $1.00!
