Really the best pet store around. It is always clean, well stocked and the people are friendly. The fish are well taken care of unlike other pet stores where you see dead fish floating around. They have a pet grooming service as well as do it yourself pet wash in the back.

We came across a shocking and disgusting situation of neglect in this store. One of the ferrets, attached in the picture below was near death, he was laying on his side breathing very slow and looking very lethargic. Their food bowl was filled with their own poop and looked like it had not been cleaned in days. There were what seemed to be one or two other ferrets in this cage but I could not see the condition of them.There was a guinea pig cage where the water bowl was bone dry, there had not been water in the bowl in days. These pigs were also very lethargic and cooped up in a small area.All the animals here a being mistreated. There are multiple rabbits in a 1x1 cage giving them zero room to move or stretch their legs like they need to be doing.Report this place.

Best pet store ever! Staff is very nice, and always are there to help. We go there ocasinally to get pet fish and dog food for my two dogs, Hugs and Honey. Everyone of my pet fish is from monster pets! When I got my first few fish from monster pets (8 years ago) They lived for 7 years! I ocasinally go there to get more pet fish and supplies for my pet fish and dogs. Also, since the Monster Pets in Philadelphia just closed down, all of the fish from the monster pets in Philadelphia are now for sale at this monster pets!!!!

This place is great. Between me and my mom we've bought 5 pet rats this month. They are all SUPER sweet and friendly, as well as healthy. They're a bit expensive but it's more than worth it because they're obviously handled regularly from birth. Very well socialized which is so important when it comes to small animals. They're just great. They also have a huge selection of fish that all look very healthy. I didn't see one single dead fish, which is incredible because some are bound to die after the stress of being transported, just how it goes. But if any die they must really stay on top of removing them immediately which says a lot. I didn't see any animals that looked sick and they were in the middle of cleaning all the cages while I was there today. Also worth mentioning they use proper bedding, not dangerous pine or cedar, even though the healthy carefresh type bedding is much more expensive. No cutting corners and putting the animals' health at risk to save a buck which I really appreciate. This is probably the best pet store I've EVER been to, no exaggeration. It's also clean and huge. They have everything you would ever need. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Whoever owns this place should be very proud of themselves and their business. I wish every pet store was like Monster Pets. I honestly cannot stress enough how impressed I am with this store. I don't live in the immediate area but will shop there as much as possible because they deserve the business. Reading some of the negative reviews feels like being in the twilight zone. I don't think these people are talking about the same place I am!

This place is so bad. Overpriced and I have bought 20 plus fish from here and only two survived. All of my Walmart fish are still alive 6 months now so it is not my tank. I bought two filters from here. Both were broken. One was badly cracked and the other worked for about 3 minutes. They offered no help on the second one because i couldnt find a receipt. This place has been nothing but a hassle for me. I would never recommend it to anyone and i will never return here.

If anything is needed for your pet Monster Pets will probably have it. Compare your purchases from your other store to get a feel for their pricing. As far as grooming the effort was 5 Stars, the end result is a 4. My pet friends have all been taken to shop with me at the Monster, and they usually pick their own treats(one per customer), but a great staff and a great experience. PS, grab a poopy bag, you'll need it. So come on down, try it you'll love it.

As far as products and employees I think they are great. But sometimes when I go there it has a nasty oder. They need some kind of exhaust fan something to pull that smell out. I did ask about the smell and they said that it was more than likely the ferrets that they had however to me it smelt more like rotting fish.I had to bath my dog and I think their bathing stations are fantastic!!!!

Very large store. Nice employees. But it was sad to see the cages with feces piled up. The ferrets has feces in their water bowl they were drinking which is concerning and a lot of the fish tanks had dead fish at the bottom. Other than that the selection was good and the prices were average.

Brought my fat cat meows here twice once last year and again today she always loves the groomers! She is always getting the best care and I feel safe leaving her there knowing she’ll be cleaned and cared for with love! Jackie is a very great groomer and cares for all the animals as if they were here own! I highly recommend this place for people who are scared to leave their pets in any ones hands but their own. Thanks again Jackie! Meows is feeling like a brand new cat!!

Very clean but more expensive then Walmart for the same stuff. They do have higher end foods which I Ike because my cat needs a special food for his age and he started having the beginning stages of renal failure but was able to buy his special food way cheaper than at the vets office. At the vet office his food costed 38$ for a 6 pound bag where if I bought it here it was 10$ cheaper.

Bad fish, bad people. Fish are over-priced, incorrectly marked, inaccurately marked, and I've seen lots of parasite-infested fish the two times I've been in the store. However, one of the fish places in the area that sells larger fish.... but boy will you pay for them. During the week it's impossible to get assistance because they don't have enough staff. During the weekend it's easier to get help, but associates are not knowledgeable

I've been coming here for years and have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff and owners have always been very helpful and pleasant, and I've always been able to find exactly what I was looking for. This place is #1 in my book. The weekly pet clinics are also a big plus.

I Love monster pets. They are very kind. When I was purchasing my leopard gecko I got alot of help and information. My kids are young so I wanted a lizard that's not going to scare them from ever wanting another one. Well they love her. I was so scared because she was such a baby, but now she is healthy, active and growing. Get my crickets every week with their cricket cup I love that I don't have to keep some in the house just buy feed her and go back when she needs more. Thank you monster pets you guys are incredible. Don't forget to ask to hold bill!!

I think this place is an independently owned small business. Small businesses are awesome because I have been indoctrination and conditioned to admire capitalism. This pet store is a shining example of why capitalism is better than communism because the other store is the worst pet store in the country and I'd sooner die than give them my hard earned but not accurately compensated money. Monster Pets is far superior than the Cruella DeVille owned other pet store. The staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable about a vast array of animals. The prices are better than the others. Also, their trained professional groomers are caring and much nicer than Dr. Mengele and Nurse Ratchet down the road.

Gotta be honest. I was less than impressed. They had a lot of unique animals and fish. They were also very pricey. A lot of the brands they carried were higher end, but even the mainstream brands were pricey. I doubt I will shop there again.

The fishes look malnourished sick and most of them are dead. I even went to check on the other animals they had and even they looked malnourished!! Simply disgusting! They were in filthy tanks. Theres a huge lizard that looks practically dead! I will NEVER shop here again. My friend got a dwarf frog last time and poured some of their water into his tank, ending up killing all of his fish the next day! They seriously need to work on training and proper petcare!

One of the dog baths is always out of order and they have dog toys in the wrong spot so when I grabbed one thinking it was one price and it ended up being $10 more. I brought it to the attention of the girl at the front desk and she gave me an attitude like I did something wrong.

Poor selection of supplies. Biggest issue is the animals. Lots of dead fish in tanks. I purchased 1 green Cory and 3 snails. 1 snail is left alive 3 days later. The Cory died in less than 6 hours. Two of the snails never moved.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A MANAGER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My family and I had walked in to this store looking for a female bunny. We stood there for almost 30 minutes in the same spot which was located by the registers without anyone greeting or asking us if we needed help so I asked the sale associate Jenny about the female bunny, she replied with an attitude and said we are not licensed and need to take it to a vet to find the sex. So I asked her if we can pick up the bunny so my daughter can pet it and she misunderstood what we were saying and thought that we wanted to check the bunny ourselves and snapped with an attitude and said I will get my manager. As we waited another 20 minutes for a manager Lauren was staring at us and never came over instead she walked to the back of the store so I went back and returned my items I had purchased while waiting. Point and fact of the matter is WHY DO YOU HAVE A JOB IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!???? Instead of trying to help us we were COMPLETELY IGNORED. I would rather spend my money somewhere else where I am treated with respect.

Eileen is always very courteous, sweet personality with a ready and willing attitude. And, she seems to like her job! My cat, Junior constantly gets out of the house and comes back without his collar and tag. Eileen, (for the 4th time) helped me to pick out a new collar and a new tag to be engraved. We always look for the brightest colors. Today, 3/1/19, since I see her so much, we exchanged names! LOL. You have an Ace with her as an employee! Thanks! *****

Was very disappointed. My first visit ,I was looking for koi fish a crane took mine ,long story short ..they had a pond fullof fish,they were priced 500.00 and up.Girl told me pricing is high so no one buys them ..dont have 50 fish in pond if u don't want to sell .

Snakes waters dishes were moldy no heat lamps. The other lizard filthy too. The tarantula was in cold very wet conditions with a big no no a sponge in the water dish. A bacteria and mold attractor. Overpriced on everything. They should not be allowed to sell pets . horrible.
