Prices are well over the Prices of any other food store in the area. I only go to this store in a emergency, and every time it seems the cashiers are getting younger and less aware their working with customers that are spending hard earned money in this store by not even attempting to help bag groceries as they stand there watching the customer bag there own groceries ,at times picking up their phones and sending text messages or looking at what ever they seem to like on social media instead of helping the customers. This store was once a good store before the original owner passed away.

I can honestly say this location is far and away the worst of the 3 foodtown locations in the greater northern Monmouth county area. Terrible set up, lack of cashiers, out of order self checkouts. Garbage produce. The Port Monmouth and Red Bank locations are far superior in terms of efficiency.

A very nice and friendly store. The workers will go above and beyond to assist. Chip in the catering section was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Store is laid out as a typical grocery store layout. No bags available at checkout unless you purchase them. Sheet cake and catered food was delicious and a hit among my guests for an event.

Basic items are readily available. Their pricing is a bit high for the area, so despite being the closest supermarket to me, I only visit if I need something out of stock at the supermarket I shop at normally.

First time coming to this store. Was heading to Sandy Hook with wife and baby. To grab something to eat and use bathroom. Very clean store, went over to deli area and was immediately greeted by the clerk. Sandwiches looked great and were fresh. Also rest of the store was very well blocked and neat. Pleasure coming into your store today.

This is always clean, well organized and easy to get in and get out with what you need. The deli amd fresh fruit selection is high quality and wide variety. The bakery can be hit or miss. We tried the unfortunately named Blueberry Clams which were clam shaped and made of cardboard and filled with purple hair products. Not really but that was the flavor they were going for. We offered the rest to our neighbors, The Raccoons. They did not even touch them. That is saying something.

Really Expensive look for items on sale, if not your looking to spend about 40% more then shoprite. Seafood and meat dept are worth the extra money. So is the produce dept. Deli hit or miss, go for anything store baked. You need to tell them how you want it sliced and stacked. They will slice Swiss cheese think as it should be thin, and slice American thin as it should be on the middle of thick and thin and be shingled. Things like that you need to specify.

Items were easy to find and the staff was great. Very helpful. When I was searching for fruit dishes and the preferred size wasn't there - they made sure it was replenished. We were curious about the meats - before we could ask, the butcher was asking us. Had a little difficulty with the card at checkout, no problem the cashier readily offered assistance. So other than being a typical foodstore - the staff has always been very courteous when I visit the area.

I had the best experience shopping there today 7/7. I was checking out at the self check out section and the young man there was super helpful and extremely knowledgeable. He saw me struggling to find a price for something and he immediately came up to help and I noticed he also went to help other people as well. I really appreciate his help and hope he gets recognized. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name because he was busy helping someone else when I was done. He was a young man with curly brownish hair about 5’6 tall.

In a time when customer service is going downhill I am appreciative of the friendly customer service - every time I visit. I never write reviews but had to this time. The meat man, cashier, produce people … all smiles and asking to help. A man in the lot insisted he unload my bags… thank you!

Beware of prepared food section. Food poisoning almost killed me. A few years ago when they had a salad bar, it made me deathly sick. I told the manager and he gave me a $10 gift card for my troubles 🤣.Fast forward to this week. I was in a hurry at lunch break. I grabbed chicken parm sandwich from the hot bar. It was the only thing I ate that day. I was deathly sick for two days. I won’t go into details.They obviously have issues with the preparation of prepared foods. I’m officially done with this place.How many people have they poisoned?Instead of giving out $10 gift cards to sickened customers, The person responsible should be fired. Maybe the manager should be fired as well.

Its not a huge super store, no indoor liquors or pharmacy, but it has all the basics. Its always busy, has local and organic foods, deli, bakery, etc. The store is frequented by locals and the summer crowds on the way to the beach. Other businesses fill the area as a backdrop for all other shopping needs. I always find what I need for most items, even through times of low supply. The store in general is neatly organized The staff is helpful and friendly at check out. The only negative is the fish counter and the nasty older man who works there.

This location is very clean and well stocked so that's a plus, but prices are going up for almost everything...I understand it's global but geez. Have to go to a discount store like Aldi, Lidl n Trader Joe's before I do my regular weekly shopping to cut costs.

I usually stop here when I visit my friends in the Highlands. Nice store, kinda tight isles but veggies are fresh, they seem to have everything and prices are not too bad.

Store was super clean and well stocked, arrive at the cashier's lane and proceed to be checked out. I asked if the product I was buying registered as 4 for $5. The cashier responds I dont know. I asked again. Since it is their responsibility to confirm my query on the sale price. Again he doesnt know. I guess the customer service aspect leaves a lot to be desired. Needless to say I told him to keep the product. Who teaches these folks how to speak with customers??
