Dr.Demeo has been my vet for over 10 years for all 6 of my Pugs throughout the years. I can’t say enough good things about her and her staff. She is the most skilled vet I have ever seen. She has a wonderful calm approach while made all of my dogs very comfortable with her from the very start. She treated each and every one of my dogs as with the love and care as if they were her own. I have never seen another vet that puts in as much concern as she does. She doesn’t just read a file she actually remembers each of your pets and their individual needs. All of her staff are just as wonderful. Everyone remembers your name and your pets as soon as you walk in. It’s a very wonderful feeling. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Dr Acevedo & his staff are amazing! Our BabyGirl was sick with allergies. She had non traditional symptoms but is getting better. He does the work including nails not the assistant. We’ll see him again in 30 days

While my heart is broken as I write this, I can't fully express the amount of kindness and care all of my pets received over the years. On 8/11, I lost my almost 17 year old Pomeranian peacefully. The level of empathy was astounding and the compassion made leaving the office with just her harness and favorite toy a little easier. All three of my pets lived to be super-seniors and were treated so well by the entire staff. Thank you to Dr.DeMeo, Marie, Beth, and Jenna as I navigated the difficult last few weeks. When I'm a pet parent again, I will happily use Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital

Dr Melinda Mordarski is fabulous, she is so knowledgeable, and truly cares for the pets she treats. Marley was a patient of hers and Dr Jennifer DeMeo for most of his life. We were always treated kindly respectively. As the years passed and Marley became a senior dog and our visits were much more frequent, this office always found time to treat him. Last week the time came for Marley to go over the rainbow bridge. Dr Mordarski was so kind caring along with the staff I know they all loved my dog as much as I did, you could read it on their faces and from their kind words. My Marly is at rest, I have peace knowing our pound puppy had a great life with a loving family and veterinarians who truly cared for my baby.

Time this story was told. My two cats were patients of Dr. Demeos...both ended up with issues and the treatment they chose was a steroid which caused them BOTH to become diabetic. My younger cat just kept declining. Finally at 15 she'd had enough we brought her in and said goodbye to our baby while we held her. Fast forward four yrs later and our oldest was 19 yrs old and she started to fail. Dysplasia bad both hips. Diabetic. Stomach issues.becoming Incontinent. We brought her in and the Dr said yeah her health is deteriorating. She said "you will know when it's time she will tell u just like our baby did" so we took her home. We had some more precious time with her. I had to help her a lot. Then Covid hit. A few months in she just went straight down hill and I knew it was time and so did she. I called Dr demeos...they told me I would have to drop her off and they would take her in and that would be it. I think they said we could see her when it was over. I said no. I have to hold her. Can't I wear multiple masks? They said no. I just couldn't leave her. I called a traveling vet and explained our situation. She came to our house. Hooked our baby up to a line that they led six feet away. I was able to hold my baby while she passed. It was the hardest thing I ever did. Months later we decided to adopt a puppy. We gave Dr Demeos..office to call to confirm what kind of parents we were and they passed on letting us see the puppy. I called up and spoke to the nastiest most heartless receptionist at AHAH. I asked if there was an issue and to let me know what was written in the chart and it wasn't good. So basically they slandered us as pet owners. Why because the front desk girl didn't like me. Started an argument with me which brought me to tears in their office....basically the chart insinuates we unnecessarily put down our cat. Why because they lost the $$$$....do u know when we first started going to them our cat urinated in her crate. The girl came over and asked if we wanted her to dump it out we said yes.they came back with the towel in a shoprite bag and someones newspaper from that day lining the cage and they charges us $7.00 i still have the receipt...we were and still are the best parents to our two dogs that we felt we had to buy to avoid being bashed by our vet! Yeah they care a lot. sure

if I could give no stars or a minus 10 I would. I decided to try a new vet for my sick cat because a friend recommended AHAH, huge mistake, although the doc was attentive and thorough, I was given the wrong dosage of the meds that were prescribed. had I not double checked the mg of the pills that were given to me and confirmed it on line of how much he should have, this animal hospital would have overdosed my cat! be careful here people or you might end up with a dead pet

My go to Vet for almost 15 years, Dr Demeo treats every pet as if it were hers. Staff are courteous as well as efficient. No problems from simple flea/tick problem to a major surgery she seems to be able to do it all. I speak from experience.

Dr. DeMeo and Raquel are just amazing! They truly care about your pets! I have worked with other vets who rush you off the phone, in and out etc. Dr. D takes her time to make sure that you understand and answer all of your questions. The team at Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital is the best!!

Great doctors here! Found the right allergy medicine for my pup after months of frustration with other doctors. Great staff, they always pick up the phone right away and are organized.I drive 40 minutes to get there passing several other vets. I have Garden State nearby for emergencies but otherwise will never go anywhere else again.

I started bringing both of my cats to this office, as they came highly recommended by friends who have been bringing their pets there for years. The staff is helpful and friendly, and both vets that I’ve seen thus far were gentle with my pets and thorough with their exams, as well as with their responses to any questions I had regarding the health of my pets and/or steps that I should be taking.

I have been bringing our animals to these vets for over a decade. I always recommend the vets for anyone looking for the best care for their pets. I had a cat with asthma and one with IBD . The care was excellent for them and the vets had given me the names of the specialists they required during their lives. Our present cat has feline hyperesthesia and because of the vets care that she is 11 and still going strong.

As an owner of a Boston terrier I had high levels of anxiety over having him neutered. Dr. DeMeo did a wonderful job calming our entire family and giving Noodles the best care possible. The staff here have treated me and my cat like family from the very first visit. My cat had a very difficult to diagnose illness and it was evident that Dr.Lictig went home at night to read and research She called at night to check on us. It pained her that my cat was sick. Their compassion and professionalism are above and beyond. Reasonable rates are the icing on the cake.

As a client of AHAH for a number of years, I have always found Dr. De Meo to be a knowledgeable and caring individual, not to mention her tech team that is equally as professional. Owning both dogs and cats, that would require medical attention from time to time, I have never left the office uniformed or felt as though I was just dollars in the door. My pets are my family so I would do whatever is necessary to ensure their well-being. I know personally that the hospital team is very devoted that during hurricane Sandy they made generous donations of pet foods and necessities for displaced family pets. Through my experiences, I would highly recommend AHAH.

Very generic animal hospital. Made mistakes on my bill and then charged me afterwards(next visit)telling me I had a balance? I am being told I didn't pay for services that I did pay for. This is what happened. I gave this company my CC to pay for a bill and they (one of the ladies in charge of billing) partially paid the bill by mistake. They made a mistake and only charged my credit card for partial the amount of the bill let me go on my way told me everything is ok. Gave me a receipt and it did not reflect my past due balance. I had no clue there was a balance as I always paid my bill here in full every visit. My next visit they tacked it on my bill as a past due balance? If they made a mistake they should of notified me and told me this not just sneak a past due balance that I was never notified about on the next visits bill. Very shady all they did was say oh must a been a mistake nothing we can do. Yea you could of fixed the mistake by not passing t on to your customer telling them they had a past due balance. Not only did you accuse me of not paying my bill in full you surprised me with a past due balance I was never notified about very very very unprofessional!Another kicker is I gave them my dogs micro chip information. They totally disregarded it and tried to sell me another micro chip for my dog! I kindly told them hey I gave you all that micro chip information what's this about. Oh oh oh its not in the system or may be its not in there or idk we have to check we will call you and let you know. Huh either you have my dogs information that I have supplied you with or you don't . You obviously don't because you just tried to sell me another microchip SMH. I can't sit here and let business that just run daily that don't pay attention to details like this and not say something. I took my pet to you most people would say their pet is like their child. I gave you their information on the first visit and you can't even document it right. You can't bill your customers right either lol

So you refused to give my dog his proper rabies shot. Now he can’t get groomed. After I sent all his records from Staten Island. You are useless!! It’s your job to inform me what my son needs. Your a discrace to the practice and license you hold. But don’t worry, I am contacting your license holder. I nor my dog felt safe in your presence.

I have been going to Atl. Hlds. Animal Hosp. for about 14 years now. All I can say is they are amazing! Recently my cat injured his tail requiring a surgical amputation. The quality, care, and teamwork that can be seen carries far beyond any other hospital previously. I have never had to wait in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes tops for an appointment. Also it is super comforting knowing all my questions are always answered cleary and in a way " regular " people like myself understand. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.
