Awesome shop! I've been wanting to go here for a while just to get a sense of what they have and what the prices are like. I did not expect to be leaving with a bike, but I found one that I didn't want to pass up and wound up riding it all the way home. It apparently had only been worked on and set out on the floor this morning, so that gives you a good idea of how fast the turnover can be.I only looked at fairly new bikes, and I can tell you that all of them were at least half off their original price regardless of how untouched some of them looked. I also didn't want to bring a bike home unless I had a lock, but they had a nice array of them for sale by the register.The service was super friendly and two different people helped me out. One informed me all about what I needed to know, and even let me demo a few bikes out on the sidewalk. The owner rang up my purchase and really couldn't have been friendlier. I'm very pleased with this shop and would recommend it to anybody.I'm still pretty shocked that I came home with a bike today, but it's beautiful, rides great, and I'm just excited to have something to ride around town. Thanks guys!

I ❤️ this shop, at this shop, I get my first bike a year ago and I keep comings to do view maintenance or fix my bike from time to time the owner and the shop team, especially mr Peet, all they so amazing and so helpful, and fast with great service God bless them always, everyone visiting Bradley Beach needs bike must get one from this amazing shop.

Full of gems, if you're handy or diligent. Prices vary, based on their local market value, so you can find odd/niche bikes and bits here for cheap cheap. This is a great place to learn about the intricacies and depths of bike culture, if you are so inclined. If that sounds like a lot of work for the consumer, this place might not be very inviting to you.

I walked in on a Friday afternoon looking for a bike for my 10 year old daughter. The gentleman working there was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions with honesty. He was patient as we tried bike after bike. We found the perfect bike at a very fair price.. We brought it home and practiced riding it that day. It was perfect for what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a used bike. As we were driving home my daughter even commented on how nice and friendly the gentleman was. Thank you very much for a great experience and the perfect bike for us!

Was here for the holidays and decided to grab a bike to get around, Martin is very nice and helpful. What a pleasant person! He helped me find the right bike, and being so tall ot isnt the easiest...he also was just helpful in general with info on the area, and he made my visit to the shop a great one. Come to this shop of you want A+ service. They're so friendly the host where I was let me know that they let kids work there to earn a bike of their own! Highly recommended! the best people. bought a bike, had second thoughts, swapped it for a different one no problem. they took the time to check out the bike before i left and made adjustments, spent time showing me different types of bikes and making suggestions.if you want a sweet older bike that's been taken care of and given a new lease on life at a price that won't make your credit card company call you to make sure it's you. This is the place.

Not your typical bicycle shop.This place is great in my opinion. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.Plenty of used bikes available for sale. Great inventory of used bicycle parts of many different makes. Really a cool bicycle shop that captures the true essence of bicycling.Great idea to the owner developing this into a real asset to the community.

My Review 5 Years Ago: Nobody ever answers the phone but otherwise no real complaints other than some prices are crazy5 years later and they still don’t answer the phone and prices are still crazy. Not to mention the lady who runs the place is a liar and extremely petty. A pain to even talk to. I don’t recommend dealing with her. She lies about bikes that are for sale, lies about donations, etc… I donated a couple things a few years back for them to donate to someone in need and they ended up selling them instead. As for their events, they’ll say whatever they have to in order to get people to attend even if it’s not true. Ill never go back here. Changed review from 3 to 1 star. Don’t waste your time. Donate your bikes where they’ll actually be donated.

You can't beat the value you get from this place. I have bought two bikes for my kids the and they have both been in like new condition.Spent $20 for first one... $40 for the 2nd one... cool looking bikes too. Best of all... professionally refurbished/reconditioned/repaired!!

Great place! Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. Kerri helped us to choose a Breezer which is a decommissioned Zagster bike share 5-speed . The bike feels indestructible and it has all the bells n whistles! Just what we needed for our back to school university junior! This shop has an incredible inventory of donated old & used parts and accessories! While we there, I took some time to root around through the bins. Lo and behold I found an impossibly rare Bluemel’s celluloid spear point front fender for my grandfather’s 1953 Raleigh Lenton. I had been looking 12 years for one of these! We also bought a slightly used hitch bike rack for a fraction of what these things cost new! Can’t wait to visit Second Life Bike’s again, the next time we are down in Asbury Park - it is a truly unique bicycle shop!

I like my bike at first but now I put an engine on it so ig u gotta think smarter before thing like that to happen but would recommend anyone on a tight budget for a bike to go there to get a nice deal on a bike

Honestly it’s a hit or miss kinda shop but I can say the prices are ridiculously high especially for used products I went it not too long ago and found a vintage dh comp bike payed almost 500 for which isn’t bad but for me to spend 500 for a bike that wasn’t even serviced in the last atleast 10 years is wild especially for you to be a second life shop that doesent even tuneup or run through their products for any kinds of flaws or problems but if you know what to look for and you know how to fix bikes then you should be okay I definitely wouldn’t recommend going but if you do just look out for price discrepancies and make sure it’s been serviced before you leave they will sell you something that just walked through the doors after you if you want it bad enough

What a great place! I found an entry-level road bike that fit the budget. I feel like I got exactly what I needed. Friendly bike people too! Feels like a great place to hang out and talk bikes. Check out the attached cafe also, High Voltage.

Great place to get your bike fixed, or donate that clunker taking up space in your garage (tax deduction!). They also have volunteer programs for local youth. Good people, good prices, good advice. Parking is tough. Try across the street in the train station lot.

If I were you I would stay away from this place. There is a young man with long hair and crazy eyes. He will insinuate that you said something under your breath. He will go crazy and try to throw you out of the store... Physically. he must be off his medication like the rest of the people that work here.if you don't want to become a victim of Norman Bates don't come here...

Chain broke during a ride. I was referred to Second Life and thank God I went there. They were able to replace my chain on the spot had me out the door in 15 mins. Great Service. Thank you guys !! Really appreciate it

I love bikes, so I'm biased...but here is a place where bikes of all shapes, sizes and purposes are given new chances are life. And they're affordable. And they teach kids how to fix bikes. And they have sooooo many!

What a great idea! A used bike shop that rebuilds old bikes and sells to help those have the bike they cant buy brand new!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very cool people, very cool store! I bought a bike and a skateboard there. GREAT!!!
