I ordered 12 dozen donuts from Purple Glaze for my wedding and they were so good that they were gone before I even made it to the table they were set up at! Unfortunately they were also gone before I could get a look of them! But all of my guests had rave reviews and absolutely loved them - there were no leftovers. Luckily my husband and I got to try the cute bride and groom themed donuts that were delicious (I felt so bad eating them). Mary is also an absolute pleasure to work with. Would recommend to anyone!!

My favorite donut place. One of my favorite places to go. It’s always worth the travel down to Asbury for these donuts. Incredibly amazing customer service with very efficient workers. What I like about the donuts is that it’s made to order, it’s fresh. It is small inside but you are not in there for long but unless you can’t decide what you want that is. They are cake donuts. I like how they don’t put frosting on both sides, been to places that have and it makes it so hard to eat. These are just right! Not only that they are so awesome with unique names and so delicious! Apple cider donuts are a hit there! They also sell Holly Jolly Jams, AP Roastry coffee, merchandise, cold drinks in fridge, and dog treats. They have vegan + regular donuts to chose from and they even just started doing gluten free. One of my favorite things is how I can create my own donut, I like to mix it up and they are very nice about that. They always have specials going on! Instagram is the place to follow to be kept in the know! Purple Glaze is a wonderful place to have in Asbury Park aka music town, the donuts are named after music! So cool! They even have table outside to sit on, and they do custom donuts for birthdays, weddings, and so on! Chocolate donuts on Sundays! They even have blueberry donuts sometimes. My favorite donuts were always the espresso donuts, but I love seeing what they come up with! The holiday donuts they did with the mix of chex is incredible!

Amazing! Fresh! I found this gem through Google maps and typed in 'donuts.' Took us a while to order because the number of potential choices, daily selections, and combinations can be overwhelming; however, at the end of the day, just know that it's made to order! They were patient, friendly, and very helpful with the final order and willing to answer any and all questions we had! Will absolutely be back.

We ordered two dozen “plain & simple” doughnuts for our baby shower last month & they were the perfect sweet treat for our guests. The doughnuts were soft and delicious & not hard and cakey like some other locally owned doughnut shops I’ve been to. Also, reasonably priced for bulk orders! Thank you for adding to our special day

If I could give Purple Glaze a higher rating than 5/5 I would!! I look forward to coming to the Jersey shore to stop by for these donuts!! The owners and staff members have truly mastered customer service. From when you walk in to when you leave, you are treated with so much kindness and respect. Such an amazing vibe from a small donut shop! Not to mention, the donuts are all delicious. Every item is freshly made and truly incredible. Best donuts in NJ & the prices are very reasonable. Not to mention - when I went in today before closing, I was given an extra donut on the house. This is an amazing local business!

Pictures are the signature purple glaze and the wake n bacon. These donuts were delicious. Great variety of toppings to choose from. The donuts themselves are fresh and fluffy and taste wonderful. Come here if you're in Asbury for a delicious breakfast before the beach!

I was craving some donuts on the way back to Maryland from a business trip. Purple Glaze donuts came up when I searched "donuts near me". Once I ordered the donuts and brought them back to my car I was surprised. They were not what I expected. The donuts are very plump and look cake. Once I tasted the first one...Wow! They are a little crunchy on the outside, great texture, and very light and moist in the middle. I haven't tried donuts like them before. What a great find. Too bad they aren't closer to MD... or maybe that's a good thing.

I came here on Father’s Day for a few to go donuts and an iced coffee. I was flabbergasted of the excellent variety of donuts and treats they offer here. I had a plain iced coffee along with a citrus based donut that was called the pucker. It was delicious and on a warm day the iced coffee hit the spot! The owner was engaging and talked to everyone that came in! He was vibrant and gracious to anyone that came in. Very kid friendly and talkative. I would definitely recommend anyone to pop in here and if you have a dog in your family…they do bake soft biscuits here in the shape of mini bones !

This is not only one of my favorite donut shops ever but easily one of my favorite businesses in Asbury Park. I love grabbing a coffee and donut and just chatting with the staff. Their daily specials are always something special and delicious and when you ask for a recommended donut they’re on point. Salty Dog donut will always have a special place in my heart!

Went in this morning 10 am to order two 12 dozen boxes of donuts. Wasn’t looking for anything fancy whatever they had was fine. As soon as I said two boxes I was huffed at like it was a huge inconvenience. I put down the menu and walked out. my business will go to another donut shop. Trying to support local but that’s just not how I wanted to start my morning. I was in no rush and could have waited.
