Decided to choose Allendale as our main vet because of their exceptional professionalism as well as patient care! We took our girl for her spaying and the team at Allendale did a fantastic job of performing her surgery and then her monitoring post op. Her incision healed within 6 days with no complications and within the first evening she was back to her self! Thank you so much to the Allendale Veterinary Hospital Team for such outstanding care!

Everyone is warm and caring. I feel very comfortable leaving my pets as I know they are loved and well taken care of.I have used this practice for well over 10 years.Currently we see Dr. Tartini, she never rushes her explanations and is very open to discussing treatment plans.All of the techs, office staff and other Drs are all wonderful as well.

Everyone was super nice, knowledgeable, and amazing with my dogs. They were also extremely accommodating, making me an appointment for the same day when my dogs needed to be rushed in for rabies booster shots after going head to head with a groundhog.

Putting it as simply as possible — they saved our dogs life. Ace swallowed a skewer and lived with it in his stomach for months. His health declined and it was very hard to pin point the reason — thanks to the vet, she was adamant Ace needed surgery. The decision was hard — making a decision for surgery always is, but we did it and we are beyond grateful! Our boy is finally back normal!!!!Finding a vet you trust is hard. Finding a vet you trust and is good is harder. We found our place!Thank you to all that cared for our little guy!

Allendale Hospital saved my dog's life. She is epileptic but we have it mostly under control, unfortunately she had a horrible horrible episode of back to back seizures. In our rush to get her to an emergency hospital it became very clear if we didn't stop somewhere soon she might not make it. After being rejected from almost every single vet's office (including my own) I called Allendale and begged them to take my pup. They said yes and I will be forever grateful they did.They took her in immediately and got her hooked up to oxygen, IV and EKG. A vet tech came out every 10 or so minutes to update us which was AMAZING as we were so anxious and upset. Their kindness and fast reaction to her medical needs were simply incredible. I think most vets in the area are good, but a true test of a GREAT vet is in an emergency and Allendale surpassed my expectations.THANK YOU to each and everyone of you that took care of Scout. We are so incredibly grateful for you all. The people here are special and they will treat your pet like their own! Truly an incredible Vet's office.

I was so nervous to bring my new puppy here during Covid because the rule is owners can’t accompany their pets inside. I’m so glad we decided to go anyway. Allendale Veterinary Hospital deserves all the good ratings they get. They have amazing hours that can accommodate almost any work schedule, thoroughly answer all questions, and the staff is attentive and caring to both people and animals. After bringing my dog in for an issue he was having, the veterinarian spent about 25 minutes on the phone with me discussing it. The women who answer the phone are friendly and patient. The one thing I would say is that a couple of times they have brought out the bill and they add something on there that I did not ask for, but they fix it right away if you ask them to. Other than that, bills are always correct and have no issues with payments. They won’t try to pull a fast one on you with hidden fees like other places will. After trying a couple other vets in the area, this is the only one I will take my dogs to from now on!

I have owned many pets in my lifetime and dealt with many vets over the years. Dr Stein is by far the kindest and most compassionate Dr. I have ever met. He is conservative and competent. His prices are reasonable and he never does unnecessary things. I trust him so much with my most beloved animals.

I was very happy with my experience here! My senior mini dachshund had a dental emergency on a Sunday morning, and I was able to make an appointment with Dr Cerf to see her that day. This was my first time at the practice and the staff was understanding, professional and very friendly. My dog was very relaxed because they were so kind to her. I will be taking her back and plan to make them my regular vet.

I believe every dog/pet owner deserves the right to know where the proper place is to recieve care, and for our sake this place wasn't it. Our puppy had been suffering from severe diarrhea and after the same treatments with flagyl and panacur, and multiple kinds of foods suggested by this vet and every kind of diagnostic under the sun, we couldn't come to a conclusion and per the vet, my dog would just possibly have "diarrhea for the rest of her life and it would be chronic". Unacceptable. As far as foods go, they handed me food,without suggesting how much to give her and would tell me their worried about her weight, also suggesting it was hard to give me an approximate amount of food to feed her. You cannot leave pet owners in the dark especially those caring for new puppies. We deserve to have some guidance. The front desk seemed to be annoyed everytime we would call asking about directions, frantic and worried about our animal, as any other pet owner would be. The only reason I give this place 3 stars is because Havier the manager, tried to help.

The staff is as someone else said extremely loving and professional.Our dogs are not ever stressed and they are actually happy to see both doctors and techs. Both doctors and techs as well as the receptionists are extremely helpful and patient whenever you have a concern or question.

I have been bringing my two dogs to Dr. Susan Welsch for many years. She is wonderful and very caring. She is accessible and does not try to add unnecessary services. I always feel like my dogs are well taken care of. Mikalya is fabulous and helps make the office warm and welcoming and lastly, the vet technicians are also terrific. They're always very gentle with my dogs. I would highly recommend them to any pet owners.

I switched to Allendale Veterinary Hospital when Dr. Stein moved up there. I can't say enough good things about everyone who works there. I have used many vets over the years and none have come close to the compassion that Dr. Stein has. The entire staff is welcoming and work hard to make sure you and your pet are getting the best of care.

I am so happy I found this hospital. What a great staff, from the front desk to the vet tech to the Dr. Just amazing high quality service. They treated my husband me and my dog as if they knew us for years even though it was our first visit. I highly recommend you bring your pet here you will not be disappointed.

We had an emergency visit with our cat and they were able to fit us in due to her condition. The appointment was done virtually (b/c of COVID-19), where I sat in the car and could watch the exam and discuss through an app. The staff is very kind, nurturing, and knowledgeable. I felt the price was very reasonable and I was not being overcharged for unnecessary testing. I have never been to this office before, and will definitely be bringing my kitties here again. Thank you!

This place is an entire ripoff and a scam. Stay far away. All they do is bilk for unnecessary x-rays costing between $700-1000. My last experience was horrendous. My cat need a $12 Prednisone for the inflammation he had from the forced air in the house. They refused to give him treatment without expensive x-rays. When he gets this once a year during the winter months due to the forced air. They refused to give me his medication and now would rather let my cat suffer instead of give him what he needs. Places like this vet, should be investigated and shut down.Of my thousands of google reviews in the local area, this place is the worst. BEWARE!

I really like this clinic for my pets. They have been terrific to my Mom's cat and my cat. I've never had a problem with them & the veterinarians are thorough, very nice and caring. The staff is nice and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend them. L. Cavallo

When Dr. Welsh was at this vet it was great. Now that she retired all this vet does it try to push surgery on you. Multiple times had this vet recommend surgery when they “weren’t sure what wrong but we can do surgery” went to competing vet and they fully healed my dog with out surgery. BEWARE this place will try to sell you on surgery to make money they don’t care what is best for your pet anymore.

I originally found this veterinarian when I was looking for a place to take my rats. After my experience, I started bringing my dog and my cat! They are so nice, accommodating, professional, reasonable, and just all around amazing. Couldn’t be happier! After my cats first exam, she got a goody bag with toys that she is obsessed with.

Yesterday my baby had a much needed teeth cleaning and extractions along with a removal of a small bump on her leg. She was such a trooper! She's recovering wonderfully and I'm so grateful for Dr. Izar & her staff at Allendale Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Izar and her staff were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. From the first consultation visit last week with all the pre-testing to following up with a phone call this morning - they were the most thorough, caring, people I've ever experienced at a veterinarian office. She's recovering nicely thank God. 🙏 The Dr., knowing how worried I was actually took 2 minutes to call me in between performing the cleaning and the extractions just to let me know how Roxy was doing. Hands down - Allendale Veterinary Hospital is the BEST place to bring your fur baby. ❤💗

We have been bringing our family dogs here for 20+ years. When I got my very first puppy on my own it was no question that I'd be bringing her here; despite living in Hoboken. Allendale Vet has become family and they take such terrific care of our dogs. The staff is incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and unlike some vets, are open and understanding to your dogs holistic lifestyle when it comes to vaccines, meds, and food. I wouldn't trust our dogs with anyone else. Dr. Welch is the real deal!

I have taken my dog Harley to Allendale Veterinary Hospital for the past year. I switched from Emerson because of Dr. Gabriel Stein. He is an amazing doctor, who has a passion for animals and is 100% upfront and honest ! The staff and assistants are also very knowledgeable and caring. It is truly a pleasure to take Harley because he is in good hands!
