The Yum Yum Shop has got to be one of the most iconic businesses in the heart of downtown Wolfeboro - perhaps in this entire part of New Hampshire. This place has been around since 1948, and it’s a bakery as well as an ice cream shop! We checked out their ice cream after seeing a MASSIVE line outside. On a Sunday evening after a beautiful, warm, clear day on the lake it seemed like everyone in the whole area was here to get ice cream! There was a huge line but I can easily say the wait was worth it. There was even a girl outside playing live music and singing to keep us entertained. It had a great vibe! This place has a lot of different options for hard ice cream, soft serve, and various ice cream shop staples like sundaes, milkshakes, and much more. However, one of the most unique thing about the Yum Yum Shop is the HUGE portions!! One of the people in our group got a medium size cup of ice cream and it was easily a whole pint and a half of ice cream! You could split it between like 4 people - and prices aren’t expensive at all!! This place is easily the best value-for-money ice cream shop anywhere in this area…I can see why there was a big line now. Their coffee flavor is amazing, pistachio is great if you’re into that, and of course some of the classics like chocolate, mint chocolate chip, and many others are great as well. You probably couldn’t go wrong here even if you tried. There are only positives at this place: the ice cream tastes fresh and excellent, portions are massive, prices are great, and the atmosphere is really nice. Definitely check the Yum Yum Shop out!!

Yum Yum Shop is an absolute delight for any ice cream lover like myself! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with friendly and attentive staff. The cashier took my order even though i wasnt even in the cashier line. They have colorful decor like blueberries and gingerbreadYum Yum Shop offers a decent selection of flavors that cater to every palate. We got the strawberry cheesecake, maple walnut, and peanut butter. The small cup was already really big.What sets Yum Yum Shop apart is their attention to detail when it comes to presentation. Each scoop is beautifully crafted, making it an absolute feast for the eyes. Their bakery items look so amazing too.In conclusion, Yum Yum Shop is a haven for ice cream enthusiasts and sugar lovers. With their incredible flavors, impeccable presentation, and outstanding service, it's a place that keeps me coming back for more. Whether you're seeking a sweet treat or a memorable dessert experience, Yum Yum Shop is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

Tried the ice cream, at least what few flavors they had left. It was good local ice cream from Gifford's Ice Cream. Sadly, we arrived at around 4, (they close at 4:30) and they only had maybe 3 flavors, none of which I was interested in. Cute place, kept immaculately clean. The young man behind the counter seemed bored and disinterested. All my questions were answered with a puzzled look and "I guess so." Bakery looked good, with fresh goods. Monstrously generous portion sizes and delicious flavors, what more could you ask for?The kiddie scoop is literally the size of a grapefruit. At other ice cream places it would be a regular double scoop.Friendly service and great variety.Random: Love that they have custom wallpaper in their restroom 🤣

We originally came in for ice cream, which we got and enjoyed, and to have a peek at the bakery. They were out of small gingerbread men, but had a fresh batch of large ones, which they happily decorated and boxed for us. We also got a gingerbread-scented candle for home.Their gingerbread is, hands down, the BEST gingerbread I have ever had! A little crisp on the edges, soft in the center, spice that you can taste and is not overwhelming, and a tang left on the tongue afterward to remind you how good that last bite is! And so adorably decorated! We're looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing place to get ice cream! I ordered some sort of chocolate ice cream, and it tasted incredible. I have a nut allergy, and I was impressed how they went out of their way to wipe everything down and ensure there was no cross contamination. I can tell that they’re very high on customer satisfaction. The prices were also very reasonable for the amount of ice cream you got. I’d totally recommend going here.

Great ice cream at a historic business in beautiful Wolfeboro!The staff was feeling a little generous when we last visited - doling out insanely huge donkey-choking servings of delicious ice cream. I ordered a small. I was given a pint. Maybe a quart. (not sure, It’s all a blur.)Pro Tip: Park close by - you might not feel like walking very far after your visit.

Excellent cakes, cookies, and pastries at sensible prices. Good selection of hot and cold beverages as well as ice cream, too. Lots of people don’t realize there is a large room with seating inside through the doorway to the left of the counter. Also, at the very back is a tiny terrace with one table overlooking the lake.

Do you have a sweet tooth? This is the place to be! Freshly baked sweets, famous jelly donuts (which I tried & loved), homemade chocolate frosted donuts, and a lot more! So many options I will have to go back to continue trying all their delicious desserts! 🙌

Amazing Ice Cream & Pastries - stopped by for dessert after local dinner. Baked pastry & cookie selection was extensive - very friendly staff. You’ve got to try the Aroma Joes Peanut Butter Mocha ice cream. Crazy good. Cashier at ice cream counter, Katie, was super polite and upbeat! Fun way to enjoy the beautiful weather and location. Comfy Adirondack chairs on the front patio to sit and enjoy the treats and people watch.

Absolutely love this small bakery ever since I was a kid. Amazing food, nice people and just another beautiful and must see stop in the picturesque quaint little town that is Wolfeboro NH. I so appreciative that my parents raised me back in the day in such a wonderful and safe place to live as well as raise a family!Parking: It can be tough in the summer months to find parking near directly in front of the shop, but all you have to do is drive to back bay directly across the street and pack in the large lot there. Only a 2-4 min walk back to the yum yum shopKid-friendliness: 100% family friendly environment as well as convenient outdoor seating for soaking up the sunshine on a nice day or people watching with your spouse on the busy summer daysWheelchair accessibility: From what I remember everything is on one level ranch style and easily accessible with a wheelchair

Absolutely love everything they make. They're used to be a yum yum shop forever in my town and Dracut Mass, but there hasn't been in a long time and then I went on the website and realized that they deliver. So I ordered some imperial cookies which was my husband and his family and his late moms favorites. And let me tell you not only did they taste exactly the same but I got them in just a few days and they were packaged with care. Thank you so much for continuing the excellent service that I grew up with. Definitely will be ordering again if not stopping in the store when we are up there ❤️

Though I was unable to taste their tasty treats (cant have milk or eggs) my kiddos loved it! They had a vary large selection and all the employees were super friendly and helpful. Maybe not a place if you cant have dairy or animal products but great otherwise :) and again everything looked delicious!

It doesn’t matter where we stay at around the lake. We always make it a point to stop at the Yum, Yum Shop. We usually get some bakery items in the morning and ice cream (huge portions) in the afternoon.

The cookies and donuts we tried were delicious - the "cro-nuts" were especially wonderful! But beyond that, the man who helped us was most helpful in letting us know about the foliage and where to get some beautiful views. In addition, when we open the box of goodies, he was most generous in some extras added to our order. This is certainly a place to include in your visit!

Fun place, good help, excellent selection, good ice cream, & indoor/outdoor seating. My raspberry Danish was heavy and doughy, as if it needed more baking or needed to rise more. My wife's doughnut was good but not super fresh. Coffee was fine.

The best of the best!! We cannot speak more highly about the Yum Yum Shop. We come here at least once a week and my son loves every minute of the experience. He gets a chocolate chip cookie and a donut every single time. The donuts are the very best we’ve ever had and the bread is incredible. If you’re even remotely close to the area, you need to stop in! The staff is always friendly, kind, and appreciative of you being there.
