I have gone to a few vets, and Wilton has definitely been the best. I waited months for there to be an opening, and I'm so glad I did. Both vets are great and very knowledgeable. I had to unexpectedly put my cat down, and they were so nice about it. They didn't rush it and 2 of them even gave me a hug. When you bring your pet in, if there's any issues they always come up with different ideas and continue to help till a solution is found. They get to know your pets personally. Very professional, kind and great with animals!

I have brought several animals here for different reasons. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. Whether it's a regular check up, shots, a wellness visit or an issue it's always the same great service. When I have had sick pets they always fit me in same day and get them feeling better. My mini aussie had puppy strangles and it appeared to be conjunctivitis but it went from a dot to swelling and what looked like infection in both eyes. Brought her in and got meds, she got bumps on her face so called for a follow-up and with the new meds she is feeling so much better and healing nicely.

I have taken more than one pet to Wilton Animal Hospital and the service they provide has always been top shelf. The technicians and doctors really do care about their patients and it shows. I am always seen on time and the examination rooms are always spotless.

We have been taking our pets to Wilton Veterinary Hospital for over 15 years. I can’t say enough about the excellent care we consistently get there not only from the veterinarians but the amazing techs and support staff. After any procedure, there is always a follow-up call to check in to see how things are going. The compassion shown to us when we lost our beautiful golden, Cooper, made the worst situation we faced, was as if they were losing one of their own pets. Thank you for always going above and beyond for our family.

I've been taking my cats here for several years, and since moving to Nashua I still make the drive for this incredibly caring staff. My cat was freaking out the last time we brought him, had a little accident in the carrier even, they were so gentle with him and cleaned him up properly, the ride home was such a relief and he was feeling better and much happier. I cannot express my gratitude for their consistent love for what they do and the high quality of care.Thanks again for your help!

I have taken my pets to Wilton Animal Hospital for nearly 20 years. I have found them to be so caring of the animal, and considerate of me and my concerns. Dr. Lynn Guida has taken such good care of our Boxer and our English Springer Spaniel. Dr. A. took care of our Springer during his last few months, and was so kind and patient as we had to have him put to sleep - under the apple tree in their lovely lawn. Vet care is not inexpensive, but they are one of the most reasonable and will work with you to find appropriate solutions.

We bring our two dogs here and my dogs love coming to the vet because of how well they treat them!! The staff is super professional and are super helpful when needed. They keep in mind how expensive vet bills can become and keep you the owner informed on how much it will cost.Personally I will highly recommend them to anyone with animals in this area! It is obvious that they care for their furry patients

Wilton Animal hospital advertises on their website that they offer emergency care when open, laughable!!! I have been a customer since 2009. I called for 2 days in a row letting the office know that my dog was not well. I was there with my pets, a dog, and a cat 2 weeks earlier for their well visit. Charged me over $600. I called and asked if the Vet could see my dog who was acting very ill. I asked to come in two days in a row. I was turned away by whoever answered the phone. Didn’t even get a phone call from the Vet asking what is wrong. Wow, what horrible service. They only seem to want to help you with well visits and very happy to take your money. I don’t know what happened to them but their service went down hill. I will never use them again. I took my dog to another vet and he needed antibiotics for a possible infection. After receiving the care he needed he was back to normal. What a disgrace this animal hospital has become. My dog suffered for 2 days because of their lack of concern. This Animal Hospital doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I have never seen such a lack of concern for an animal. They are a sorry excuse for Vet service. Maybe they should be investigated on their treatment of pets.In answer to the response that was given from Wilton Animal Hospital, I gave you a chance to discuss this when I kept calling your office because my dog was sick. Why even respond!!! You know you are at fault and failed in any kind of care my dog should have received. If you were so concerned, why wouldn't you call me? Again anyone reading this should realize how awful the service is from WILTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL as it continues to go downhill. I will see if there is a governing entity in the state as maybe there should be an audit or an investigation of how they take care of their animals.

THE BEST veterinary care in the area, hands down. My pups are in great hands here. The entire staff is knowledgeable, personable, gentle, and very compassionate. Fees are quite reasonable. When additional services or procedures are recommended, they do not try to push them on you, or make you feel like a monster should you decline. Simply THE BEST!

First of all I agree with the comments left by some of the one star reviews already made. We have been with WAH for 20 years & then the owner retired and sold it to a national chain, VetCor (423 practices in 33 states - how can that possibly be a personal experience??). ALL their staff left or was let go...including Shelly who was awesome, dedicated to her job, the clients and the animals & Dr. Merrill who was the most competent and compassionate vet I have ever worked with. CLEARLY they were purely out for their own benefit. Their prices shot up and the experience plummeted. They now nickel and dime to the extreme. My dog has almost NO contact with other dogs, yet they pressure me to get the kennel cough vaccine every time & they certainly don't voluntarily share that it is only necessary for high risk dogs. If I was none the wiser, they'd have me dishing out completely unnecessary money. It used to be $5-10 for a nail trim, now its the cost of an office visit (with no exam) + somewhere around $20 for the nail trim. That's insane & they likely do it to force you to add on other services to jack up the cost even more (but make you feel like the office visit is now worth it). I have requested Dr. Guida (I believe the only original employee who remained) since the take over and was flat out told "no" & that essentially "you get who you get". It is NEVER the same vet twice & the care has become impersonal and rote, by everyone there. The front staff is rude, curt, judgmental and have no desire for small talk or in taking the time to answer questions about pricing or my pets vaccination history...unless I am clearly making an appointment. I always feel like I am bothering them even though I try to keep it to the point. They have lost MANY local clients who had been going there routinely for many years. Check out local Facebook pages...when someone asks for a vet reference, only a handful recommend them (sometimes people will even specifically say to stay away from WAH). There are MANY more personal, competent & compassionate vets in the area, who are less expensive, for people to tolerate such substandard care.

One of our dogs is aggressive as he was abused. Being newly adopted we weren't sure how we would do at the vet.. throw in covid 19 ans separation and that made things a whole lot harder. DR. Dapilito (may have spelt wrong) was amazing. She came outside and laid I'm the grass with me and the dog to do an exam. She has been this amazing every time! She truly listened to our concerns addressed each one ans even tried an interactive assessment in-between all the growling. Chelsea at the front desk is always chipper and extremely helpful and efficient. They are all around a great team!

The best care in CT. I had a very life threatening issue with my bearded dragon. The vet took her in right away and was able to diagnose the issue through two tests. She is on the road to recovery thanks to the vets at Wilton animal hospital. They are also very friendly and very educated. You can tell they are there for the animals and not the paycheck and that's what I want to see when I come in.

Called Monday morning to book an appointment as our dog was next to death and they told me the next available appointment is Friday at 2:30pm. Geee thanks, you must really care. But don't worry Brookline took him that same day, we spent 600$ but at least we now know what the issue is. We will NOT be going back and will be letting everyone know just how much you cared about our dog!

After nearly 30 years of bringing my Bloodhounds to Wilton Animal Hospital, the business suddenly changed. Literally ALL of the original vets and techs and receptionists left, after the original owner sold it and retired. The new staff are clearly only interested in charging every penny they can, and are down right rude to clients. I found a more reasonable practice for my dogs and I.

During my dog's first visit, everyone from the receptionist to the Vet were friendly and professional. They treated me and my pet with respect. The Vet team was knowledgeable and helped solve the problem that brought us in that day.

My Pit mix, Grayson actually loves to go to the vet. He sees friends and he gets a treat or two. They don't treat him like a patient, they treat him as if he were their own pet. He's such a lovey and just eats up all the attention.

This *WAS* the best veterinary place around until Vet Core took it over and did not renew the contract with the best vet there: Dr. Janet Merrill. Dr. Maki was horribly rude to me. I told them (including Dr. Maki) BEFORE setting foot into the exam room that Holly, my 18 year old, indoor, Championed Ragdoll would NOT have a rabies shot because she was so ill. They could titre her for rabies but not the shot.Dr. Maki checked her over, gave her a shot for the URI, them smugly refused to do the BP and bloodwork required to help her survive Chronic Renal Disease (CRD). So he treated the cat, then with wry smile refused further treatment for the serious problem. I had lost one cat for the very same thing after he was given a Rabies shot. So Dr. Maki got his slightly less than $100, lost a client of 30 years who owned dogs, cats, and had a well-respected Ragdoll cattery known all over the world. I take them elsewhere now. Yes, for 30 years Dr. Merrill treated my animals. There are exceptions to the vaccinations required when the animal is sick, even under the law. This one visit with Dr. Maki sent not just one, but MANY other clients away. It's Wilton Animal Hospital lost so many clients after the treatment of Dr. Merrill, and others. There are a lot of people in the world of animals that know me, and no more No more referrals from me!! Great job, Dr. Maki and Vet Core!

Since two of my closest friends recommended this practice, I'd like to pass on that the practice has a wonderful, supportive staff who listens to your concerns and incorporates them into treatment. I recommend them highly.
