We ordered the “Farmers breakfast”. Taste was really really good, The sausage felt homemade, it was extremely tasty. The Texas toast was also perfect. customer service was great too. everyone are pretty polite and respectful. I enjoyed pouring maple syrup into my black coffee, as recommended on the menu. We definitely would love to come back again.

My Husband and I went for brunch 7/8/23. They weren't too busy, plenty of parking and seating available. The waitstaff was very polite and respectful. The placemats are so cute and able to color with the crayons at the table. I had to color mine! I had a double stack of French Toast with complimentary house made syrup served warm. Yum yum. Had a great experience here.

Our family has been coming to Stuart & Johns every year for many years in the spring. Have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. But we went there last weekend and were very disappointed. The food has gotten really expensive. $8.00 for side order of bacon??!!! Home fries were luke warm. Then when we went to check out we were charged a fee for using a credit card. As if the cost of the meal was not enough. That was the last time we will be going there. Will find another place to share our spring breakfast next year.

The food was delicious and plentiful. We hear there were long wait times, but we showed up around 12:30 pm and were seated right away. The pancakes are spectacular! The syrup is warm and perfect! Highly recommend !

I love this place, go every few months when I pass through SW New Hampshire! However, today was a bit of a letdown for my guests: the wait was over an hour after we were told 20-30 mins, one plate took an additional 10 minutes to come out, and the signature syrup didn't come out until the coffee and pancakes were cold. Definitely worth a stop for the sugar shack and breakfast, but I wouldn't advise going during the lunch hour if you're in a hurry.

We were waited on by the owner, Robin. Very slow service and zero attention. Paid to the table. Food finally came out after 50 minutes and she blamed it on the burger. One item was wrong and she was very combative with us about it. Rest of the staff seemed to be on top of their tables but the owner is combative and can't take criticism.

i’ve been coming to stuart & john’s for years. it’s a splurge but the bottomless complimentary homemade maple syrup always made it worth it. today my friends and i came in on a double date, our first time back since they reopened for boiling season. i like to hope that today’s experience was an outlier as typically we enjoy ourselves despite the longer waits, but since our server was the owner i’m not certain we’d get different treatment were we to return.my group of four was sat promptly, but it took a while for our waitress robyne to greet us, her only table. so long that she came with her note pad asking what we wanted for both food and drink (she likely realized we’d had plenty of time to review the menu and make selections, no apology for her delay in greeting us). after i ordered, i made sure to ask if she wrote it down correctly as i’ve had proteins omitted in error prior and wanted to be sure - she did not repeat orders back to us upon transcribing, something she would later claim.our next interaction with robyne / the owner was at least 50 minutes later (young servers brought our drinks as robyne was busy doing anything but checking on us) where we again received no apology for the wait. her unprompted, cheerful explanation for the delay was “the burgers have to cook 5 minutes each side” as if that made up for the fact we’d been waiting nearly an hour. she brought my boyfriend the entirely wrong meal and made things very uncomfortable when he pointed it out to her. again, no apology. someone else brought out his food when the rest of our party were finishing our meals. we’re not ones to ask for handouts or complain (because awkward) but if any, this seemed like an appropriate occasion to take my boyfriend’s meal off the bill.i approached robyne at the ice cream counter upon paying our tab as i felt compelled to calmly and politely relay how disappointed we were because it seemed like she had no idea anything was wrong. instead of understanding, she doubled down that the reason our meals took close to an hour to be served was because the burgers (only one ordered at our table) take ten minutes to cook? and that the reason several other tables came, ate and left within our wait time was because what we ordered was too complicated (normal breakfast items, one burger and one special). to me, that doesn’t really make sense and it just felt like she was too embarrassed to admit maybe she forgot to put in our food order because she was too busy doing owner things behind the scenes. it felt very dismissive and unprofessional. she was unwilling to accept accountability for an overall disappointing experience.robyne did offer us free ice cream (??) after our conversation but still didn’t want to admit any fault. instead this ended up being the first time in my life i did not tip. unless you count the $3 fee for not using cash (bringing our total to $89 for 4)… not sure we will be back, especially since the prices have skyrocketed and portions have shrunk. sad.edit: i now see the owner responds to all google reviews, good or bad. i’m hoping she won’t be disrespectful, dismissive, or dishonest about our experience to try and make it seem like we were the problem in reply. had the situation been handled cordially when our concerns were voiced politely, this review would not have been posted.

Service was atrocious. Took forever to get served. Our waitress was the owner and she was extremely rude and defensive. When told how it took forever to get out food and how multiple tables who came in after us got served, ate, and left all before we got our food, she blamed it on the burgers taking a long time to cook even though one of the tables who was sat after us, got their food and left all before us had ordered burgers too. She blamed us for not being patient. We waited an hour for food to get out. Although the food tasted great, the service was horrendous to the point I wouldn't come back and would warn others to also stay away from eating there. The owner doesn't take accountability for anything and just blames the customer for their complaints.

This restaurant is family owned and operated since 1974Such a nice place to have breakfast. The average plate 8-14 dollars.Perfect spot for families or couples. They process there own maple syrup and at certain times of the day you are allowed to go inside the room and see the equipment they use. As they make batches they allow you to taste the freshest syrup ready. Also a flat screen TV showing videos of how they harvest the syrup from the trees. There is an area next to the eating area where they sell there brand name maple syrup. You can simply buy a small bottle for a souvenir or by the case to bring home and enjoy yourself with your breakfast meals.Service with a smile here definitely stop by if your passing through the area.#Smash the like button if my review has been helpful for you! 😆Have a great day!!!👍✌️😁

My family and I are doing the 2021 NH ice cream trail and this place was on the list. We didn't end up getting ice cream, we aren't a fan of Blake's too much but we did try their fried clams and haddock and ordered a side of sweet potato fries with maple syrup, which the food was amazing! My mom has a severe crustaceans allergy so we can't ever find a place that she can eat clams, scallops and haddock without them serving shrimp or lobster. Now, Stuart & John's became our new place to go for fried clams and haddock. I like that their pasta salad is simple and it was delicious. I'm not a cole slaw fan usually it is a hit or miss with me, but I did love their cole slaw so definitely a hit! All around best place to eat at, great food and friendly staff. We were gonna bring my aunty here when she comes up from Florida in mid-September but I think they will be closing soon so hopefully next year! 🙂

A late morning motorcycle run lead us here. Jaidyn was our Server. She was friendly fast and efficient. The food was DELICIOUS! The prices FAIR! And atmosphere AWESOME! The coffee flowed fluidly no one was for want. Although busy all served quickly and not a frown in the place! To top it off they sell their own beef packaged and have HOMEMADE ICE CREAM on site!!!!! Do not walk RUN to this place! Ask for Jaidyn, tell her James W and his Ghost Hand Puppet sent you. She’ll get the joke.🤣👍

So this place is delicious. The food was fantastic and really really good. And the maple mayo was something that we all loved. This is a place we will continue to go back to. The ice cream is also great, but don't forget that they serve breakfast and lunch as well.

For starters, S&J has a very short window for their hours to dine in and have breakfast. For the ice cream, I'm told they are opened til 4pm unless the weather's bad and business is slow. My meal started with an iced coffee to kickstart my day. I was on a tight schedule and saw on the board, a Hawaiian Omelet and went with that. I think the misc. veggie toppings gave it, it's flair. What I enjoyed, was the generous amount of toast. Usually, it's 1 cut in half or 1 whole piece. Also, underneath, there's alot of potatoes to plow through. Didn't finish my fries because I wanted to save room for the ice cream.

We purchased 180 1.7 oz bottles of maple syrup as guest favors for our daughter’s wedding. They went over the top to ensure that we got them quickly and safely delivered. The syrup is delicious!

I had a mediocre experience but mostly my own fault for deciding to dining in the outdoor area. It was too beautiful of a day in early fall. I ordered eggs Benedict and the flavor is nice, definitely got some good spices in there. However, we are downwind from the cow farm, and the smell was not pleasant. Highly recommend people to eat indoor to better taste the food. The calves are adorable though.
