We had a friendly server but honestly the food and environment were just average. The food was basically something I could’ve cooked at home for less money and a half decent recipe. I do not mean this to be rude just that we went in really excited and left thinking we should’ve just stayed home and cooked something. With that said, the cornbread and butter are amazing! But I had the ribs and chicken dinner and my partner had the brisket with all the sides and although we got enough for leftovers, we’ll have to “doctor it up” before we eat the leftovers even.Maybe it’s because we’re from the south, but we had a different expectation of what a good smokehouse would be…The only thing I can truthfully recommend is the cornbread. Ours was delicious.

I loved this place! They offered a ton of gluten free options! The brisket had a beautiful smoke ring and snap. The coleslaw was a perfect BBQ slaw (got those celery seeds). The pulled pork was very flavorful. Don’t get me started on the tangy house BBQ sauce. The fries were extremely crispy and the toast was CRISPY and buttery. You could pretty much build your own sandwich with the toast. The hospitality was awesome as well! The front of house seemed incredibly knowledgeable on the menu and was extremely kind. This is the perfect BBQ stop on your way up to North Conway.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Options Available

Very average. Not bad by any means but underwhelming. Staff was very friendly but food was average at best. The pulled pork tasted and looked to have been store bought. Could have used some pickles on the sandwich. BBQ sauce tasted exactly like Ken’s BBQ. Fries were an afterthought, though fried nice and crispy. The pizza was a bit over cooked. Again the food really isn’t bad, but didn’t seem like what would be served from a place that identifies as a BBQ spot.

Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful to call yourself a smokehouse. The only thing you smoked was the life out of this meat. The sever was so sweet and I specifically asked for recommendations for their best items. She told me the brisket and ribs were always a crowd favorite. I’m not sure who the crowd is but as you can see in my pictures I have busted out the chainsaw and sharpest knives to cut this down to feed to my dogs and I even feel bad for them because they know good BBQ. Meat was either left over or severely over cooked. The sauce was basically like ketchup. I read some of these review and I realize that New England just may not know good BBQ. Make the trip out to KC or STL, or even Texas or the Carolina’s because this is basically pedigree or Iams In comparison. I left there hungry as the food was hardly edible. I am not sure how they stay busy serving food like this. 0/10 would not recommend.Make the trip to Amherst NH and goto SmokeHaus BBQ.

This is a real hit or miss kind of place. We have enjoyed dining in there in the past, sometimes good, sometimes ok. Did take out this time and got ice cold pulled pork wadded into a crushed fist full and stuck between two not very fresh buns ( somehow they missed the order for pulled pork dinners) . The sauce is more like ketchup. Nasty. My worst complaint was the fries. Change the oil and cook them to order please! I have no idea how many hours earlier they were cooked, but they came cold and absolutely disgusting. When someone said take out the trash I think they just bagged it up and put our name on it. I guess it really has become a ‘don’t need to cook well because the sucker tourist money will keep us going’ kind of place. Sad.

Family of five tried this out for the first time. Kids had cheeseburger, chicken fingers and grilled cheese. Can't get them to try BBQ. I had the single person sampler and the wife had the Joe's rib dip. We got a side or corn bread and salad. All the food was great, really enjoyed the corn bread, Cole slaw and beans the most. Wife was really happy with the rib dip. Plenty left over on the single sampler for lunch tomorrow....yeah!!!

We were sat quickly. Then took a long time for our server to even ask our drink orders... We already knew what we wanted by then. Beer was ice cold. Pizza was pretty good. The ribs were not great. If you're going to serve bbq meat and not cook a sauce onto them, let the customer ads their own sauces rather than just slather a mediocre sauce on it. Just not impressed. If anything, go for the beer and pizza. Not worth the $106 we spent.

If you are craving some yummy smoked eats this is the place for you! Hubs enjoyed brisket and ribs while I enjoyed the pizza! I would ask for extra sauce on the pizza. Cole slaw is creamy not vinegary, the beans reminded me of Wilbur beans at Famous Dave's. The atmosphere is comfortable. If your in the back room the view of the woods is very peaceful. Service is also very good here!

Food was great. Best BBQ in NH!Sause is great, but not needed at all. It's a bit exspensive, but you get so much food and it's cooked well. We ordered too much food, but that's kind of our MO. Cornbread is great, love the maple flavor mixed it, do try if you like cornbread.

This place is great. I have been visiting for over 30 years and it maintains its character and great food. The new owners seem passionate and attentive. They have also made some nice upgrades to the bar and restrooms. The yankee smokehouse chili with the Texas toast is the best.It looked busy upon arrival. Host said it might be a 15 minute wait, but I was seated in under 5 minutes. I immediately was provided a cold beer and quickly served. It was the first time I spent under $50 for a party of 4 in awhile. Very reasonably priced!

The staff is friendly and the portions are big. However the food was more miss than hit. We enjoyed the pulled pork and the ribs were smoked but a little dry. The chicken and brisket were also dry and underseasoned.. Will skip next time we are here.

Great spot for excellent bbq and pizza after a hike in the area. Their dinner portions are large and have always had enough for a second meal the next day. Loved that they had Pigs Ear on tap.

Beef brisket! OMG so tender and delicious! The fries are steak fries, my personal favorite, and they weren't over salted. So good. The coleslaw is creamy, not vinegary, and the perfect complement to the smoky brisket. Nice beer selection, and excellent service in the bar.

While in the area for Bike Week, we stopped in. Can I just say that the smoked wings are amazing!!! And the cornbread with maple butter doesn't get any better. This is a must when you're here!!!

Unexpectedly good find, my traveling companion, life long Georgia resident, declared the sweet tea as good as he gets down South, and the best he's had "up north". He had the brisket quesadilla, and it was a monster. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was solid. The fries were steak fries, which I like, but they had a Burger King-esque coating, which I don't care for. Next time I'll go for the baked beans with it.
