We had an amazing week. Made to feel very welcome. The kids were able to play and run around all day the husband and I were able to chill out next to the fire with drinks at night. And the infamous green truck that everybody keeps talking about was driving around and it made me feel more comfortable knowing that someone was watching and paying attention. It was reassuring to know that staff was readily available always around to make sure we had a great family experience!

I started going here when I was a little kid, I'd go up with my grandfather, my cousins and my sister. We would ride bikes, play, and just relax at the campsites and, Looking back on those days, that place was like a second home to me. The campground is amazing, it's an amazing area with amazing people working there. There is no other place I'd rather spend my summer at.

I want to start off with how accommodating they are. We had young kids with us and a dog new to camping and were put on a Corner lot, the next day I asked if we could move and they were more then happy to give us another spot.Wish they had more amenities, more clean bathrooms ( Porta potty not cleaned out very often)You also have to pay for showers and it takes forever for the showers to heat up.The staff was very nice and its was very busy when we arrived. They even had camper you could rent which also included a grill and a screened tent. The little river that runs threw it was very cool to float down. We saw beavers

Great place to go camping!!!! Staff and owner are very friendly and great to deal with. Myself and my girlfriend have been camping here for going on 4 years and nothing changes year to year. Camp and river are very clean no trash just all in all a great facility. We can not wait for our next trip to whits end in just a week or two.

Great campground. I enjoyed the river. Few reasons I did not give it 5 stars was because I wish the bathroom was more separate. The women’s and men’s are connected and not very private and the porta potty’s were not cleaned in quite some time. Also wish the smoking was more discouraged. Lot of smokers around in the common areas. The pool also could use some TLC.We never saw anyone drive by harassing anyone. It was mostly quiet. A lot of road noise though after 10 (golf carts and cars) which I’ve never really experienced but it wasn’t awful. No loud music or crowds. The beaches were clean. Site was clean and spacious. I am definitely going back next year.

My family and I had a great time at Whit' End Campground for a long weekend. Two of my friends and their families also joined us and we were able to get three camp sites together next to the river. The bathrooms were very clean as was the campsites. I did a bit of fly fishing in the river and caught two large rainbow trout as well as a wild brown trout. The kids enjoyed the playground area as well as the small movie theater which had a showing of Brave one night. There was also an ice cream sunday event which was a big hit with the kids. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our stay was in mid June and the the place was not packed. So we had lots of open campsites around us making it feel like we had the place to ourselves. The beach area was a lot of fun for the kids as well as the heated pool. Next time I would like to do some kayaking down the river. A number of people were doing that and it looked like fun. The river is very clean, you can see the bottom of it. A beautiful place for sure.

I stayed at this campground with a few friends. The owner immediately started threatening us the first night to kick us out and calling the police. we asked our neighboring sites who said that we were fine and being respectful and not bothering them. They then told us that the owner made their 6 year old daughter cry, as he was driving by their sites and also making them uncomfortable. Quiet hours are at 10pm and he would come to tell us to quiet down as early as 8:00, we always turned off the music at 10pm as well. The owner drove past us every hour all the nights we stayed and would park his truck in front of our site and watch us for 10-30 minutes. He then came back and said because there was a bottle of whiskey on the table he was debating letting us stay and we were not welcome back even though we are all in our mid to late 20’s. We were made to feel very uncomfortable by the man our whole trip, when again our neighbors said we were respectful and they could not even hear music. I would not recommend staying here.

Love this campground! We have been here multiple times. The river is great to kayak down. You can drive upstream and drop folks off and the have a 30-40 min paddle right back to the site. No full hookups bet dumpstation is easy access. Only complaint for renters is the porta potty is your only choice on the end of the camp we were on.

Unprofessional, harassing owner. We were told we were being “loud” at 8pm and adhere to the quiet hours. Yet, those began at 10pm. We were also told that we were disturbing the neighbors at 10am by listening to music. We politely spoke to the neighbors and asked if we were rude, they declined that we were being disrespectful. The owner would drive around in his truck at night, sit outside of our camp grounds, turned and lights off and vehicle off to watch us. He made all 30+ of us feel extremely uncomfortable and stalked. I would NOT recommend unless they were to have new ownership. Would rate a zero if that were an option.

Nothing short of perfect. My boyfriend and i just camped here for the first time, and it was everything and more than we expected. we had a riverfront sight and it wasn't too close to the other sites. The river is beautiful, the clear clean water we were searching for! we swam, then tubed and kayaked down the river with the dog. The river opens up into ossipee lake where Dan, the owner, picked us up and brought us back to Whit's end, we were so thankful for how incredibly helpful he was. The owners were so accommodating and friendly, they made everything go smoothly for us. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, as was the whole camp ground. We can't wait to plan our next trip here!

If you’re looking for a campground where you’ll be harassed by management every half hour, this is your place! My friends and I rented two adjacent camp sites and were playing yard games during the day and having a fire at night. Nothing crazy. No music after 10pm and talking quietly per camp rules. Every 30 minutes we were getting yelled at to go to bed or put out our fires when nobody else was being asked to do the same around us. Meanwhile this was at about 10:30pm. We were screamed at by the man trolling in his green truck and him assuming that just because we were in our twenties that we were here to get “drunk and party all night” when that wasn’t even the case. Completely soberly, quietly enjoying a fire we were the only ones being targeted by management (we asked our neighboring sites who told us that they couldn’t hear us at their sites and they weren’t asked to do the same). Moral of the story is that our weekends were ruined by this constant attacking and being forced to essentially go to bed since we couldn’t use our quiet voices after 10pm. I will never come here again after the disrespect, targeting and harassment myself and my friends experienced.

This is my favorite place been going here for a few years. My family really enjoy coming here especially the kids and there's always something to do. The people are great and pleasant, the showers, bathrooms and pool are always clean. After 10pm is quite time but we hear people talking and kids having fun and I dont mind it at all! This is a place for me if I'm at my whits end!!!

Do not go here. The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. Targeted and profiled myself and my group of friends that stayed there this past weekend. Continued to make false claims we were bothering other campers and being too loud. On top of this he will drive around the camp ground every 30 mins screaming out if you have even a remote ounce of noise. He stalked our group and would park outside our camp sites just waiting. If you want to camp somewhere that’s going to constantly berate you and your group over petty things and feel more like a dictatorship than a vacation, this is the place for you.

Whits End is one of the best kept secrets in New Hampshire. My family and I have tent camped in many NH campgrounds in the past 14 years. I stumbled across Whit's End by accident and decided to give it a try when our vacation plans fell through a few years ago. The campground is clean and well maintained. The campers are mostly families some with tents and some with RV's. The location is a beautiful wooded setting and right on the Bear Camp River. The sites are a good size, wooded and while not completely private I've never felt like I was on top of another site. The climate is laid back and the owners are polite, professional, helpful and visible. Campers are encouraged to have fun and enjoy but at the same time there is an expectation of "being a good neighbor" as there should be.I have camped there with my family of four and our dog (kids aged 14 and 11) and also with a group. Both experiences have been wonderful! The pool is well maintained and clean and while there for several days on one trip we used the laundry which I also found to be clean. The best attraction is the river which meanders through the campground. The Bear Camp River is crystal clear, does not run too swiftly and it's accessible at many points in the campground. There is also a nice beach area. Highlights are the many rope swings around the campground, tubing down the river, jumping into the river from the bank which is high in some spots. Good quality firewood is sold at the campground and the camp store is well stocked with reasonable prices. Don't forget a tube for the river! The campground is also dog friendly and we met well behaved pets. There are doggy waste pick up stations scattered throughout the grounds which was very convenient!Whits End is one of our family's favorite camping spots! I'd love to tell you about what there is to do nearby but we have never left the campground because we have so much fun while there!!

We have been going to Whit's End Campground for several years. It's a really nice campground for families with kids. We will continue to go indefinitely. We have tried several other campgrounds around NH and this is our favorite so far. Lots of things for kids to do too. Keep up the awesome work Whit's End!

Owner targeted our group, and harassed us throughout the night. We were respectful and compliant with all quiet hour rules, and talked quietly throughout the night. The owner came around in his green truck all night telling us to go to bed or be quiet, and made up noise complaints. Will never go back, and will not recommend this site to anyone.

Worst camp owner ever. No personally. All abt money. Put sites where dog park +volleyball were. Hates dogs +drinking. Used 2 be the best campground in NH. Been going there for 12+ years. Only good part left is the river.

Even though the quiet hours are ten owner starts harassing people at 8 o clock even if your group is just family and kids. He drives around idling and will stop and point his lights at your campsite and just sit there idling if he thinks you're being too loud.I look to the reviews and found that the infamous green truck was in a lot of them and I just think it's really weird to go around harassing your campers before quiet hours when you have a policy. he was really rude and made my niece cry when you came up and told us that we were being too crazy and letting our children run around even though we were just having a pinata at 8 which is a full two hours before quiet. He also seriously harass the group that was staying across from us that had bought for campsites he came out to them every hour all night long he was all over these kids and we were across from them and really didn't have a problem with their level of loudness.he was really sullen and seemed to really ready to jump into a confrontation with anyone. I mean it's odd because this is what you came out to do when you're camping like sitting around a fire and talk and chat*updating this to say this dude is also petty af. Because of this review, he banned my extended family (who didn't write anything, I did) and their friends and anyone associated with my parents. Also, we all got poison Ivy because the place is loaded.

One of the best campgrounds you'll find, i.e., clean, great accommodations, family friendly, beautiful setting, pool, river, etc. Jan & Dan (owners) are the best and always very helpful. We've been coming to Whit's End for over 12 years and highly recommend it as a terrific campground for a day or two, a week, or as a seasonal place. Outstanding!

Here for a yearly Kayak / tubing trip. Campground is located on the Bearcamp river. Campground is clean w/ a mix of sites. Some wooded and some right next to the river. Nice swimming pool and friendly staff. Would recommend a reservation as it's busy on weekends. No sewer hook up on sites, dumping station on the way out or you can pay to get a pump out on site.

We love Whit's End! Laid back, large sites, not commercialized or overpriced. Creating your own family fun and memories is what camping should be about.

So I see that Whit's now has a new owner. Tried to make a Reservation 2016 cause we stayed in 2013 and had made one for 2014. So here is the story 6/16/2014 I was hit by a truck in my front yard and coded there and spent 3 more months in the hospital. We had to cancel our 2014 reservation. Most would understand. The new owners of Whit's End Red Flagged me because I died and came back and spent 3 months in the hospital. Jim the Manager there now says given my history the one and only cancelation that they do not want us there. Nice people!!! Not done with them yet. I would find another camp ground people. Even though the campground is nice I guessing the management is not..

Great family campground. Friendly staff. Always something going on at the community center. Games, paint night, corn hole tournaments. Large sites and always tubing down the lazy river. Shopping close by. We love it there, been going for over 15 years.

Overall it's one of our favorite campgrounds. It's got nice big sites easy access to the river with a nice beach. The only problem we had was there fire wood wouldn't burn matter what I did to it I ended up giving it away
