I had set my expectations low, but was pleasantly surprised. Check in and out are a breeze, staff is super polite and welcoming. It was super clean ( more than I expected as my standards on cleanliness are pretty high) and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Continental breakfast was a plus. I thought the price was a bit high, but it's a central location in the mountains in August, so I get it. Would surely stay here again.

NOT SMOKE FREE / false advertisement!My room smells so bad of cigarettes it's embedded in the air conditioner and couch while people chain smoke right outside your window for hours on end so you can't get fresh air.Poor customer service, I got hung up on when I told them about the smell and when I call back they were annoyed when I told them I also had a broken window screen. "Turn your fan on, open the window. You should have called earlier ... There's nothing in our Policies about rooms smelling like cigarette... it was cleaned" was all they said. Cleaning can't eliminate hours if not days of smoking and someone definitely tried to pop that screen out so there a safety concern. Didn't feel secure so had to lock window (while Suffocating from the smell) and use chair under handle.Skip this place on your next trip you'll sleep better anywhere else.

The front desk staff was so rude. I accidentally locked myself out of my room And when I went in to ask for a new key she acted so put out and was rude telling me not to let it happen again because she wouldn’t make me a new key. The next morning she it was 11:04 I had almost everything out and she was calling the room and came storming down like a bat out of hell when I didn’t answer because I was taking things to the car. Sh didn’t care that we were almost done she wanted us out. It was literally 4 minutes past checkout. Rooms were filthy and everything was old and outdated. The floors are so bad you feel like you’re going to fall through them. They didn’t even have toilet paper in my room. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying at this location!

Very disappointed with this business. I wasn’t feeling good 2 days before my reservation. The morning before my reservation I tested positive for Covid. I tried to cancel my reservation as I didn’t want to put their staff at risk of being exposed. I called as soon as I tested positive. Be issue I missed the cancellation deadline by less than 24 hours, they informed me if I cancel I will be charged at full price for a one night stay of $250. They said they will accommodate me even though I am positive for Covid. It’s shocking that hey are willing to put their staff at risk rather than just not charging me for the one night stay. Very disappointed.

My workers and I went there three weeks in a row. I had not a single problem with our stay. Sure it's not a Hilton hotel but it's right for the money and the owners are very pleasant as well all the other comments about it being terrible I'm not sure how we had no problems at all there and we will certainly go backRooms: Three rooms that we rented were fine

They were pleasant.Good location.Price was good.They could have had shampoo in the room, but didn't have anything. I was thrown off my having a towel rack inside of the shower though. That seemed so wrong, and counter-intuitive.No one was at the desk in the morning. The front desk looked to be shut down, and no way to alert them of my needing to check out.Nice bed. It was comfortable. I needed that after an extremely stressful day.

The room is was fantastic, the AC worked great, and the modernity was the refreshing. But what really sold this hotel was the staff. Not only did they invite my colleagues and myself to a bonfire, but they were chit chatting with us all night, hanging out, and offering up stories from their extremely interesting lives. While the rooms were great, the REAL enjoyment came from the time spent with the owners and their staff. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and meeting these poster children of New Hampshire living

My company has been using this place for years and it’s always been an average hotel, except for the front desk experience. For years our employees have dreaded this part, as the former management was...let’s say “less than friendly.”I stayed here last month, and let me just say that Mitch & Marla have made this one of our new favorite places to go. The hotel itself is nothing spectacular, but it is clean and taken care of, and is in a good location.The staff is AWESOME. They’re so friendly, and it’s obvious they really care about their customers. Upon arrival Mitch was helping other guests unload their car and assured me he’d be with me right away. Check-in was quick and easy, and the super friendly staff invited us to a bonfire that night (the fire/food/mingling was great). They expressed to us that their goal was to attract families to stay here, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.We’ve used this place for years for business purposes, and I 100% plan to stay here for personal vacation in the future.

Absolutely incredible experience. I always thought all hotels were basically the same until i came here. Mitch and Marla treated my friends and I like we have known them for 20 years as soon as we walked through the door. They went out of their way to take care of everything we needed and even after we missed breakfast he packed us some amazing sandwiches to go. The property was gorgeous, rooms were very clean, and the service itself was enough to go back there. This was my first trip to New Hampshire, and now i cant wait to make it a yearly trip to come visit the great people i met there this past weekend.

Had a great stay, the hosts Mitch and Marla were amazing!!! The rates were very reasonable! The rooms were very clean and the property has breathtaking views!!They have a river right on the property with huge fish, also some deep swimming holes. They had a fire every night and lots of interesting stories. I will definitely be staying here again, they also mentioned being open for weddings, graduations and other events and parties by next summer on the cheap!!!

Booked and paid with Expedia and when I got to the hotel the front desk person barely spoke English. He asked for my ID and CC and confirmation #. Which is all regular things. Two weeks later I noticed a a CC charge from the hotel. I called the hotel to figure out what's wrong. The manager told me that they he can't find the booking. So it turned out they charged us twice once from Expedia and once the CC. The manager on the phone was very rude and hang up.

Not bad at all. Right on route 16 at route 25 if that's a concern or a perk. Beds and rooms were clean, well kept. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy checkout and check in. Breakfast missing lighter options such as fresh fruit. Otherwise standard continental fare plus powdered eggs and waffles.

Owners are very thoughtful and kind. Very clean lodge. Have stayed here for multiple times and enjoy it every time. Very quiet. Lots of new renovations. Clean very hot water. Heat and AC both work to your convince with a push of the button. (Set to desired temp).

If I could give zero stars I would. My mother and I stayed at this location this past weekend and had a horrific experience. Between 1AM - 3AM we had three different incidences of strange men pounding incessantly on our door without saying anything. The banging was menacing. We called for help down to the front desk and they hung up on us and did not come to assist. The entrance is in no way protected and anyone can walk into the facility. The next morning we checked it before 8AM, we were exhausted and so shaken as we spent the night with the door barickaded and huddled in a corner awake. The manager was rude and lacking any care or empathy for the situation. His only remark was oh well. At least they didn’t break the door down. Disgusting.

Clean, nice rooms, housekeeping is good. Staying here for another week for work. My only problem is the owner he sits at the empty room next door to me and tries to look in my car everyday, makes me angry and uncomfortable that I can't relax after work without feeling as if I'm being watched.

We spent our time here during the snowy season. I found the atmosphere quite relaxing, quiet, and the staff was very friendly.In the morning I was able to use a machine to make myself a waffle; that was fun. A few minutes later, I quietly enjoyed my breakfast with a great view of the snow filled mountain.

The room was clean and the breakfast was palatable, but we saw $79 online and booked over the phone, it turned into over $200. Don't book over the phone and make sure you verify the receipt before you sign, even if it's 11:00 and you just finished a full day of hiking. Oh, also the walls are thin enough to hear snoring all night, and a ptiful 4 minutes of sexual performance in the room above.

NOT Impressed at all. From the moment I checked in things were sketchy.I used a credit card to pay and used the chip. The screen said accepted please remove card so I did. The guy behind the desk made a confused look as if it didn't go through and asked me for my card. I handed it to him and he swiped it again on his side. My instant reaction was asking him if I was going to get double charged. He said no.On our way to the room we ran into other guests checking in who literally mentioned that this place was known for double charging. I immediately checked my bank account and I had 3 charges (2 room charges and 1 hold for $1) My husband went to ask the front desk about this and the guy at the desk was rude and asked him if he knew what a hold meant. Of course we know what a hold is, that's the $1 but then there was 2 room charges. Anyways, he told us it would be off the statement the next day . Moving onto the room.Our room was a non-smoking room and Oh My God is smelled so darn bad. If I wasn't in a rush to head to a wedding I would not have stayed. We then lifted the mattress to look for bed bugs and found a condom under the mattress. Ugh. I know this place is a 2 star hotel. I didn't expect anything fancy, but for almost 200 a night I still expect clean and comfortable accommodations.Stay away from this place, I know I'll never be back!!

Booked the room for one night and i was really happy with this place. I would definately go back. Room was spacious,very clean. Breakfast was even good. Didnt meet the staff but my wife did and was no problem at all. Transactions went great. Price was good. Lower than most in the area. Ac was cold and quiet.

As others have stated, the owner is rude! He will belittle you and make four feel uncomfortable throughout the check in process. The only plus to this property was the large, clean well appointed room. Too bad the mold on the bathroom ceiling takes away from the positives.The building is old, long forgotten Suisse Chalet Hotel chain old. The walls and floors are paper thin so you can hear everything. The breakfast was fair, but a clear attempt to save money by cutting corners. Lastly our key stopped working after breakfast. When we went to get a new one, the owner and his wife did not confirm any info, just gave us the key for the room we requested. We could have asked for a key to any room. There is no effective security procedures in place at the property. This location needs an intervention from the franchisor with additional customer service and security training. Avoid this place if you can.

Hotel was clean, breakfast had great options (bagels, waffles, sausage, eggs, cereals, etc.) Had a room facing the main road which made it a little noisy, but with a fan on it couldn't be heard. Hotel staff was friendly, but not easily visible. At times we had to ring the bell.and wait a few minutes for staff to arrive. Overall a great, relatively cheap place to stay for nearby hikes.

Clean and pretty quiet. Perhaps slightly better than three stars.This is a no-frills place that's a tiny bit down-in-the-heels" that's kinda expensive. Sheets were thin. Bed was OK. Had a workout room! AC was kinda noisy, as was the traffic in the morning. Trucks with jack brakes, Harleys, etc. going by.Perhaps it's the seasonal pricing but over $200 a night for a double seemed a bit much. The Days Inn is quieter and across from Rosie's!

Only plus is that it's cheap, everything else is subpar. Loud traffic from all the trucks using their exhaust brakes to stop at the intersection where the hotel is located, bring ear plugs. Comfort of the room and cleanliness are below average. Breakfast included is limited to coffee, even TV service was discontinued. Only positive point is that it's close tot the Club Motorsports track.

I have to first say that although located in the middle an intersection, I had no problem with noise not even from passing cars. Many places to eat within walking distance. Rooms clean and comfortable. The only big issue for me and it really is an issue for me, They need to work on the television part of the room.

This place really surprised us. Very clean and accommodating. Mitch and Marla are fantastic people. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Out of the box planning for Covid was a big hit. Will definitely try to make a return trip

The room was clean and comfortable but the customer service was the worst I ever received from a hotel. We forgot a leather coat there and the hotel manager refuses to help us get it back. He said they don't have a box to put it in; there are NO boxes at all in that hotel! I called back a second time to "beg" for his help and he said all he could do was to keep the coat till Christmas and we could go back to pick it up.
