1/25/24 first time here. What a nice mountain! I rode all over and it was lots of fun. Good grooming, nice parks, trees are fun (got in one section even thou it was low snow) .Friendly people here too.Lots to explore. I look forward to returning.

Love it here! There’s something at WV for everyone. I’m visiting from Michigan and will definitely be coming back. Friendly staff, clean facilities, lots of parking available. We loved the lodge at the top of the hill as we brought up lunch up and enjoyed a beer with a view. Cant recommend WV enough!

Nicely maintained mountain with really nice trails. My biggest complaint is that the lifts stop CONSTANTLY. I don't think I've gone up a lift without it stopping all season. They really need to encourage inexperienced skiers to stay on the beginner lifts because it's makes it more stressful for everyone else when people (especially young kids) are constantly falling when getting on and off the lifts.

I have just started back up and been mostly going with my two young kids (2.5 & 4). I love it.I think it is a great spot for the whole family, but specifically for small children I love that the beginners area is off to the side, not getting crazy crowds but still close to the lodge— meaning you can whisk the kids in quickly for hot coco-potty breaks.There is a special drop off spot near the kid academy, which allows you to put your equipment right near the magic carpet. This makes it easier to drop off stuff then get kids ready in the lodge and just walk without equipment over to the carpet.

Very nice place to ride. Lots of trail options, nice lift, and expected amenities like on site restaurant, shop, etc.My only complaint is there is no lift to the summit, just a t-bar. I'm a snowboarder and I'm not ending up on tiktoc when I catch an edge 🤣

Really nice trails and a good variety. Challenging blues and wide trails so it doesn't feel to crowded.

I consider this mountain to be a great value. It's still got the local mountain feel but with modern high speed chairs. The snow making is excellent and they do a nice job grooming where grooming is needed and leaving things as is for those of us that like that sort of thing.Today I was getting in one of those precious, late season days of skiing and just before I arrived my tire pressure warning light went off. Argh!!! Skiing needed to happen so after confirming which tire was the problem I headed up to the lodge with all of our gear. After acquiring tickets I asked someone at customer service about possibly topping off my tire at the end of the day if they had a portable compressor to do so. At the same time a guest offered to help me if the folks at Waterville couldn't and even provided me with her cell phone number. Ultimately, the Waterville maintenance crew was able to help me out but knowing that between the Waterville staff and the Waterville guests, that everything was going to be fine allowed for an awesome day of skiing where I wasn't worrying about anything. My gratitude goes out to the Waterville staff and to Hillary who offered to help out a complete stranger in need. Lots of good people at Waterville.

This place is FANTASTIC! It was beautiful and rustic, The rooms are massive yet affordable and the mattress was perfect. giving 4 stars though because i saw a mouse in the lobby

Fun mountain, very progression oriented, and while it may not exactly be an expert's playground, you'll still find plenty of more challenging and diverse terrain

The snow was aamazing. The chairlift was super fancy and was also reliable. The chairlift holders did their job perfectly by holding the chair back just as t enough. I eould recommend if you are in the area.

This place is terrible, they allow swastika graffiti to remain on their chairlifts. Never speding another penny here.

Not happy about the crowds on weekends. They do not cap # of tickets sold. We were on indie pass. Blue and advance terrain got skied out quickly due to crowds. Could not try the new 6 person chair because of the 45 min wait. Will return on a weekday.

My company Hager Photography shot a wedding at Waterville Valley Resort this fall and man, it was such a great experience! There were so many great spots for photos, the resort and amenities were great, and most notably the staff was PERFECT. They have a bunch of superheroes working there. I shot a lot of weddings this year but the wedding I shot at WVR stands out as being one of the best. I couldn't recommend it more.

Fantastic family friendly mountain. I skied with my 5 year old son who is just able to ski alone... lines weren't bad, trails were groomed great. We lapped the green lift all day. Lodge is busy but we can usually get food or drink with a short wait. Good lappable terrain for all levels.

Great skiing and breathtaking views. Challenging mix of trails. The rental shop, cafeteria, and ticket counter were all staffed by friendly, welcoming people. The T-bar at the summit is very popular with my kids as well as the nearby summit lodge. The new 6-seater bubble lift is awesome.

Pretty disappointed in Waterville Mountain services. I recently visited in December and the tickets were 130.... for what was listed on the website a fair amount of trails open. However, the ones on the main lift were covered in ice so not enjoyable whatsoever....For being known for freestyle skiing, it is irritating they don't have a beginner and intermediate progression terrain park on the lower lifts. They only have one at the top of the mountain which requires a significant amount of skill...At the end of the day, a main chair lift broke down ...I was stuck on the lift in the cold (the temperature took a significant drop)for over 30 minutes..... My sister who was further back, was on the lift for over 40 minutes..This is no exaggeration. We were freezing. After we got off the lift, a man took our name and phone number which I thought in turn would lead to a money back or free and/or discounted ticket to use another day. No. Then at the bottom, they handed out ONE free hot chocolate pass that couldn't even be purchased in the main cafeteria because it was closed. There wasn't even an apology message sent out afterward. I have vacationed at Waterville since I was young and this was just a huge and utter disappointment.

Amazing skiing! Well maintained trails, helpful and fun ski patrol and house crews are helpful and available . They are doing updates to the base lodge and I always enjoy my days on this mountain. A lot of lifts to absorb people so the lines aren't long.

Always a great place to ski with the kids! Love the attentive staff, fun runs, and yummy snacks. Great that they have the Magic Carpet learning area, Lower Meadows progressive terrain park area, and the Valley Run area is perfect for early intermediates. Plus the new 6-person Tecumseh lift is state of the art and oh so comfy!

It is great for beginners as there are 2 magic carpets in series, so you can choose to go higher for your practice run. Really enjoyed learning snowboarding. Food was great too 😋

Haven't been here in like 20 years when I used to live in the White Mountains. Just how I remember it, super fun. They had lift issues when we were there, but what mountain doesn't have lift issues?.?.

Given its proximity to Boston (2h driving), Waterville is a pleasantly large mountain with a lot of higher level runs (also a lot of beginner runs too of course, but I’ve found many of the mountains near Boston to be too beginner-heavy, which Waterville was a nice change from). Not very crowded either, which is great. Beautiful views at the top!

Family friendly and adorable resort. Really awesome mountain to learn on with progressive areas for beginners to graduate from and slowly pick up new skills. Also provides some great runs for intermediate - expert skiers. Truly a mountain for everyone

What a pleasant little mountain! Small, but tons of trails! We had a great time here, and the views were spectacular. Great way to spend a whole day or an afternoon. I liked that there was a wide variety of easy, intermediate, and hard trails.

Awesome ski mountain for beginners, intermediates, or just anyone looking for a great day filled with powder!The trails aren’t terrible difficult overall, and was actually where I essentially learned to ski!Beautiful views, great food, great staff, and awesome skiing

I went to hike up Mt.Tecumseh, so I didn't actually visit the resort. The parking lots and trails were very well maintained tho. Beautiful scenery, and would definitely visit again in the future.
