My 7 month old female mix breed started daycare a few weeks ago and after the third day she couldn’t wait to get back. I love that Woodlawn Kennel posts photos so I can see how fun the dogs are having and how my dog interacts with the others. There’s also a wonderful store with high-quality pet supplies and treats. Very easy to park and bring your dog inside. I’m looking forward to boarding my dog when I’m away. Using the daycare so that she’s used to it before boarding is such a great option.

I have been taking my dog to Woodlawn daily for over a month now while I recover from surgery, and I have noticed a huge change in his temperament! He is calmer, sleeps and eats better, and overall seems like a happier and more social boy. Andrea and her team at Woodlawn know exactly how to strike that balance between just enough exercise and too much. As well, their hours are extremely convenient, and the setting itself is peaceful and beautiful. I had originally intended this as a short-term solution during my recovery, but will now continue, as I've seen this huge pay-off in his wellbeing.Also, I used the boarding option once he was used to daycare, and it was absolutely seamless. And it was wonderful to see photos of him on Instagram, to know he was doing well with his pack!

My dog loves Woodlawn Pet Resort and can't wait to get there in the morning. He thinks he's the king of doggy daycare, as he's been going there for 7 years now and thinks he runs the show. I drive up to the door, and he runs in at breakneck speed, barking the whole way. He loves it!

We’ve been using Woodlawn for many years. They have always taken good care of our dogs. Our current dog is almost 14 and started going to doggy day care here as a puppy. He still loves to go and gets very excited when he arrives.

I adopted an older dog about 2 years ago but he does have a lot of energy and he really enjoys a few days per month a day care. I have also boarded him at Woodlawn and never have to worry because he receives excellent care.

My dog looks forward to going to daycare and even boarding at Woodlawn. The staff is always extremely helpful. I had never boarded my dog before so when I called for information they took the time to explain even thing to me as well as answer all of my questions and even make recommendations when I am stuck between choosing services. They staff is always friendly, you can tell they really care about the work they do. We’ve done daycare, boarding, and grooming with them. I’d recommend all services they are a 10/10

Andrea and her staff always take the greatest care of my dog. As he’s an old man now, knowing that he is being loved so much while I’m away eases my mind and makes me worry about him a bit less. Thank you for always being so wonderful and so accommodating with his special snacks and spoiled boy routine, it means the absolute world to me. ❤️

We had to find somewhere last minute (and for the first time) because the people that were going to take care of our 9 month old puppy bailed on us.I would consider this place to be average, not a dump, but no real wow factors. I gave them a less than average review however because our puppy who is up-to-date on shots still managed to contract kennel cough in the three days he was there.

Once again, our bunny had a great stay at Woodlawn. We know he is well taken care of when we travel. Woodlawn is a great service to the community. They have a lot of programs for dogs and it is locally owned. Thanks again for the great service!

We absolutely love this place. They took excellent care of my dogs and handled their special needs with the utmost care. My dogs loved it there as well and were always happy to stay. The staff was always welcoming to us as and our dogs. This is one of the only places I felt comfortable leaving them besides with family. I highly recommend Woodlawn Pest Resort to all my friends.

The best kennel in the area. Woodlawn is the "home away from home" for my dogs. The kennel is always clean and the staff is always pleasant. They do a great job not just keeping your pet safe while you are away, but making this a place your pet gets excited about coming to. The dogs seem genuinely happy to see any member of the staff that is there to greet us and also very happy when we return. Your pet will be safe and loved while they are staying at Woodlawn.

This is a wonderful facility for pets! I have boarded my dogs here for many years and they love coming to day care as well as overnight stays. The owners are very conscientious, safety and cleanliness are obviously a high priority. My dog is a rescue and very wary of going anywhere outside the home, but always is happy to go to Woodlawn. The owners always make sure to ask if he has eaten yet, provide grain free food (but will feed anything I bring as well) and will often give him a free bath if he gets dirty during playtime.They are also very accommodating to schedule changes, offering many times to stay open later so I can pick up my dog the night I arrive back from a trip. I have even boarded my cat here - the owner and her family made sure my cat received extra attention and affection.I highly recommend this business! I don't understand why anyone would give them a bad review, and certainly don't understand why anyone would do it without having a private conversation with the owners. That's just cowardly and immature.

Woodlawn Pet Resort was recommended to us by a family friend for our dog's first stay at a kennel. I liked the website, and trusted the friend, so we went along with it. My dog seemed to be fine after her stay, but since Woodlawn seems to be run so poorly I can't imagine that her experience was all we hoped for it to be.I had called at least a month in advance of our trip to add a night onto her stay and to add extra playtime for her, at an extra cost. On our trip, we had called twice to confirm that she was getting the extra playtime that we wanted for her. This doesn't include the two times we called during business hours that no one answered. Both times we spoke to someone we were told that they did not have her chart available at the moment but that she would be getting the extra playtime.When we came to pick her up, the woman did not seem very friendly or thankful for new customers. She made a comment that we were meant to pick her up the night before, even though I had changed the pick up date when I had called the month before. Not only that, but when we were told the price, it was the price of just the kennel stay with no extra playtime. Even though we spoke to at least two different people on three different occasions about extra playtime, our dog received none. We really wanted to like this place, but will not be returning.

Not only was the owner extremely unpersonable but my dog came back to me skin and bone. The night I got her back she was passing blood and very hungry. Where she had been to the vet the day we dropped her off to get a vaccine for the stay she was in too health the vet said that she was in amazing shape especially given her age. When she came home she was painfully skinny and passing blood the vet said she was malnourished and that she must not have been eating. If the woman was paying any attention to the dogs in her care at all she would have seen the huge weight drop! Do not bring your pets here.

I agree with the below comment, that Chris made. Also another reviewer below commented on them not adding extra playtime after asking several times, which was the same issue I had.When I set up the board the girl was new and couldn't answer any questions, so the owner called me back. She assured me we would get the extra play times and that I would be given a tour when dropping off, and to be sure to bring proof of vaccine when I got there. Sounded great! drop off day came and the person running the desk had no idea who I was, why I was there, and when I tried to give him the paperwork on my dogs vaccine he said he didn't think he needed it. He also said he didn't see anything noted about extra playtime. Ok.. Then we went on to the tour. Office was a mess and completely unorganized, overall dirty, and all the dogs had gone to the bathroom on the concrete in which they were confined to. We brought my dog to his kennel and they closed the door, never has he looked so scared. I didn't feel right about leaving him and with some quick calls I was able to get him into the barking dog in hooksett, which was a much better decision! I expected maybe a call from the owner to see why we pulled him last minute but didn't get that either. All in all I was really disappointed with the whole experience.

My young Terrier has been going to daycare once or twice a week since February. I cannot speak to the interior of the facility bc I have not asked for a tour. What I can say is that my pup bursts out of the car and explodes into the office and drags Whomever is at the desk through the door to the kennels. This is a clear indication to me that he loves going. It's very reasonably priced - I deeply appreciate that they separate the big pups from the small. I think they provide a wonderful service. Everyone is always polite and professional. I care less about whether anyone smiles at me than I do that they seem happy to see my dog and vice versa.

Our board began Saturday. To start with, my sister offered to drop off my dog with hers since one of her dogs was boarding in the same room as my dog. I agreed, but when my sister left my house, I noticed she has left my dog's toys on the counter. I decided I would just drop it off at the kennels.I got to the kennels around 10:00am. Luckily, I got there when I did because the owners were loading themselves into the car. I got out of my car and told the woman what happened; that the bag I had was for my dog and my sister has forgotten it. She said she would make sure my dog got it, but the office was closed, mind you this was at 10:00am, well between the 8am-12pm Saturday hours.A week passes and my sister picks up my dog. One of her toys (a cloth octopus) was covered in urine, one of her plastic bones was missing, and her HUGE rawhide bone was gone. The owner told my sister that they were washing the octopus throughout the week, but just conveniently forgot to wash it the day we were supposed to pick them up. What I got from that conversation was that my dog wasn't let out often enough, since she peed on her toy multiple times in the time frame of one week. This conversation also made we worry that maybe the owner didn't actually wash the toy and either allowed my dog to play with a pee soaked toy or took one of her favorite toys away from her for the week.My sister also had a very poor experience and overall I'm just disappointing. My dog's stay wasn't as bad as my sister's dog, since my dog came back happy, whereas my sister’s dog came back malnourished. I think the only reason my dog was fine compared to my sister's dog was because my dog is 3 years old and isn't a picky eater and my sisters dog is somewhere around 14 years old and sometimes has a hard time with hard food. Usually my sister's dog is fine eating kibbles as long as you feed her the correct size. Mind you she is a Chihuahua, so she should be feed small kibbles anyway, so we didn't think there would be an issue.I'd like to extenuate the fact that we understand that sometimes older dogs have issues eating hard food, but as soon as Woodlawn kennels noticed that she wasn't eating, she should have contacted us ASAP to work something out. Their complete negligence of one of the dogs completely disgusts me.I know this review is long, but I really want the story out there. Especially since for some reason this place has 4 stars on google, which is ridiculous. All the positive reviews are so generic and meticulously planned out that it is almost certain that these reviews come from family friends; hell the kennels gave ITSELF a five star rating. And the negative reviews have specifics and all support the idea that: Woodlawn kennel doesn’t care about your dog, they are not in it for safe boarding of your companion, but in it for just making more money. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that someone has to PAY EXTRA for extra play time, when the owners literally live 500ft away from the building. I understand that they have a family and want to do things with each other, but there is no excuse for charging someone more money to walk 500ft and let the dogs out to play.I was also astonished and completely taken back by the fact that the owners would respond to the reviews and try to give excuses. When people board with you, they don’t want excuses; they want their pets to be taken care of. It is also ridiculous that Woodlawn Kennels responded to someone’s review and posted the reviewer’s email address for the whole internet to see. There was a right and a wrong way of showing someone an email exchange, and that was the complete wrong way.TL;DR: This experience was overall absolutely awful and the owners don’t care about the animals and are terrible at human communication. If I could give zero stars, I would.

When I was looking to adopt a dog, a friend suggested that I talk to Andrea at Woodlawn. Andrea helped me find the perfect dog almost 14 years ago! She has been going to Woodlawn ever since for grooming, kennel, and the occasional daycare. It is the only place that I will bring her!

Close to home but lady that runs it does not seem to me to be an animal lover seems she be better at the dmv. We were in a bind for a place to keep out pup for night never again bad feeling about the whole deal. NEVER AGAIN
