Today was my first time in a Job Lot store and I was pleasantly surprised. They have quite an array of inventory and stock. I was mostly in the food section. They had many known products and brands as well as some lesser known brands, which I like. They had many all natural options too and everything was very affordable. I would highly recommend checking it out. The store is a little cluttered, I will admit but for cheaper prices on quality, every day products, it's well worth the trade.

Cool store to find teas, and other random foods for cheap. Also have cheap clothing of different types. It's a discount store so the stock changes quite a bit, so it's typically hit or miss with something specific.

I love Ocean State. I'd give it 5 stars except the store looks filthy all the time. The floors are old and dingy, the racks are old and peeling and discolored, there are pallets in the aisles, and everything that the store is made up of is old cruddy junk throughout the store so it makes the store look bad (the merchandise itself is fine new stuff, just the racks, floors, walls, and everything around it all looks awful), but I LOVE the store and it is one of my favorite places to shop (maybe they just have the world's worst landlord and management who don't care about the property or presentation). The checkout is always on the slow side, but this time was extremely slow. But they always have what I want, and cheap, so it is hard to complain. Great garden section in the summer, good housewares section, good food section, decent pet section, great selection of rugs and bedding.

Great prices and selection. Always low on cashiers so check out lines can be long sometimes but that's how you keep prices low.

This is a great store. The unique foods I've found there - and so many all natural or organic - that are now part of my of my regular diet...when they have them, of course. Good selection of household products and tools, personal care, pet toys, weights, nice leather gloves, gardening & plant supplies, and on and on, and all at great prices. I've taken the Insider Deals and considering I do most of my shopping there, it only makes sense to take advantage. And the staff - they're great. Really helpful and pleasant. And they know that store - I ask them where I can find this one particular thing and without hesitation they give me directions or even walk me to the shelf. I don't like to shop and really only bother for food and supplies, but I actually Like going to Ocean State! As I said, this is a great store.

Love this store. Neat stuff at great prices. We will definitely come back. Although you never know exactly what you're going to find there, that's part of the fun of being in this store. We just have a lot of neat stuff that everybody can use.

So far I haven't died from eating any of the foodBought a belt 6.00. Should have bought a few lotto tickets instead. 1st time use the buckle shredded the fake leather completely off.You couldn't even wear this belt the first time!!!Just some advice.Don't think everything is up and up.These folks take over stock and closeouts. Some things are genuine.Some things are beyond not a good deal. Be very weary of pet supplies.Never ever give your pet something made in China. Unless you hate your pet of course.

We LOVE this place! Well worth the drive every couple of months to restock our pantry with an amazing assortment of foods, snacks, and household items plus I ALWAYS buy a couple more tarps and rubber gloves.RIGHT NOW, 40% OFF EVERYTHING for all sales over $30 with, I think, a couple of exceptions. We filled 3 shopping carts!

If you like bright, airy, well-organized stores with a lot of space to move around in - this is NOT the place for you. If you like cramped, disorganized chaos with barely enough room to maneuver a shopping cart full of oblivious people crowding the aisles, this is your place! On the plus side, the prices are dirt cheap.

Love the food section reset - higher shelves, more options. Great place for almost anything. We stopped in just after they'd put Summer stuff away last Fall (looking for pool noodles) and the staff cheerfully looked through pallets and found us what we needed. Nice folks work here :)

Looks like they are reorganizing placement of merchandise. Could be cleaner. They need to organize product side by side product ... not scattered around store. Clearly they mneed more staff.

It's a great store but they don't always have a lot of the things you think they would have. And sometimes it's hard to get somebody to help you in there. But on a whole I think it's a pretty good place to shop the prices are pretty good compared to other stores.

Looking for landscaping tool and lawn care this is the place to go to. Lots of other goods also . Looking for food, clothing, bedding and more. Stop in for a look. Did all my landscaping shopping here this year. Good prices also.

Had what I wanted and the people were nice! Lots of stuff in that store though. More stuff than there is room! Almost could say its not handicap accessible for the lack of room in there

This was a good visit. Allowing myself to expect to find some of the items I was in need of made for a better experience when I was shopping here. This is a good store . It is more orderly then many similar theme stores. I wish I allowed my self more time because I kept coming across many good deals. The best deal is the jams and preserves. They never seize to amaze me at the high quality European products they offer here and at price levels that have not been met by almost every other store in this area. Thank you Ocean State Job Lot for a great shopping experience. The cashiers that were working on the Sunday I went here were curtious and professional I give them 5 stars.

You can get some pretty good deals. Member rewards program is excellent and when they do their Silver (Senior) discount days you can really score. Staff is always helpful. Would've gave em 5 stars but they seem to wait till the que's are jammed before they open up more registers.

Rude customer service. Dirty clothing due to unclean floors cashier refused to get the manager stated "she was busy" poor customer service. Had shop lights set up at front of store that were right at eye level blinding you when you headed to the checkout. No lights on indicating which register is open when asked cashier stated "whichever you want"

A very good place to get a rug or other odd items if you are joy shopping and not trying to tick items off of a list. I would definitely recommend a stop here for anyone looking for rugs, seasonal items, cleaning products or accessories for your home. If they happen to have what you need it will be at a good price.

Fairly large discount store with a large variety of stock from socks, toys socks, food, drinks, socks (did I mention that yet?) and so on. Items are priced well (and discounts and sales can make things dirty cheap) but quality and availability can varry a lot. Nice for browsing or hunting for a good deal, not so much for getting a specific item, brand or model. Helps to be flexible in what you want or need when shopping here.
