Based on location, reasonable pricing, and reviews, I decided to stay at Carlson’s Lodge. We stayed in a nice looking room with a table, kitchenette stocked with dishes, pans, and silverware, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished that included two swivel cushioned chairs. The two queen beds were comfortable. The Lodge is located about 5 miles away from where we skied at Bretton Woods. The Inn owners were very gracious and attentive to anything we needed. We also ventured about 6-8 miles away to enjoy dining at Wayside Inn and Rek-lis Brewery in Bethlehem.

Carol at Carlson's Lodge was fantastic and took extra care to make sure our group of 16 was accommodated. She was patient, friendly, and flexible, taking care to consider who got placed in what rooms. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and everything was well taken care of and in working order. The decor is very family style, which might be off-putting to some, but just added to the charm. It is a lodge in the North Woods anyways! Yaya's Convenience nearby is the local source for breakfast and a later dinner. Looking forward to using Carlson's Lodge on my next work trip in Coos County!

My wife and I enjoyed five wonderful days of hiking in the White Mts and it was a great comfort to come back to Carlson's Lodge following a long day on the trails. Carol is a fantastic host, gracious and very knowledgable of the region, hiking trails and local places to eat. The rooms are spacious, very clean and quiet. We highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

This quaint little hide away, just off US 302 was clean, warm and homey. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms large. The Lodge is hosted by a mother and son team which were very friendly and knowledgeable about good places to eat and thing to do for entertainment. Thanks for making our 2 day stay a pleasant one. And thanks to Richard from another hotel for recommending them, when he had no vacancy at his place.

I can not say enough about how kind and helpful Carol was to me. My son got engaged at Mt. Washington and was staying at the lodge. Carol went out of her way to assist me in obtaining a bottle of champagne as a surprise while they were at dinner. She remembered that a local store might carry wine and put us on a conference call to secure a bottle of champagne and took the time to actually go personally to pick it up in time to surprise my son and his now fiancee. I can't thank you enough!

Charming property with a diversity of birds and butterflies. More than I have observed in most of the state. Probably due to the careful choice of plantings in the gardens around the property.State-of-the-art amenities in rooms.Staff is pleasant and engaging. Owners are most pleasant and informative.l was impressed with the courtesies and the efficiency of the family operation. It is an oasis of comfort for the road-weary traveller.

We had an absolutely lovely time; we stayed here this past weekend while hiking a Bonds traverse in the Mountains. Every thing about the lodge made us feel right at home, from the lovely spacious, and beautifully appointed corner deluxe room, comfy chairs, and a great view of the mountains right out the window. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly, and added a personal touch to the experience that you just don't see anymore at a lot of places. We look forward to staying again!

We stayed for 2 nights in early September, and were very happy with our stay. On a 2 week trip through the Midwest and East Coast, this was one of the most comfortable places we stayed. The rooms were clean, large, quiet, and very comfortable, unlike the rooms at a chain hotel. The room furnishings were very new and in excellent condition. We only met Carole during our stay, and she was extremely helpful as we planned our activities in the area, to make the best use of our time. Can't say enough about how happy we were with our stay. And, if we are ever back in the area, we would go out of our way to stay at Carlson's again.

It's been a few years since we stayed here for a night but felt compelled to still write a review. We stayed for 1 night and it was perfect for what we needed. We arrived pretty late and the owner stayed up til we arrived. We were greeted by Alan, the cat who helped us bring our bags to our room. He even stayed a while to make sure we were all set. Next time we are in need of a hotel.in the area, well definitely book another night here!

I have stayed at Carlson's three times over recent years while doing day hikes. Every visit has been great! The hosts are welcoming and offer suggestions for visiting the area. The building and atmosphere is homey and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms with the kitchenettes have been convenient for eating our own breakfast before heading out early for hiking. We love to sit on the big deck to watch the stars. We will be sure to return again for more visits.

Very conveniently located near the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. The owner was very friendly and kind, and gave us a ton of recommendations in the area. Room was clean and comfortable. I also appreciated the COVID safety precautions, nothing over the top but it made us feel more comfortable.

This little gem sets back off the road. It is a charming, family run lodge. Carol, one of the owners, was very pleasant and friendly. She takes great pride in the lodge and it shows, inside and out. The room we had was immaculate. It was beautifully decorated and the furnishings were very comfortable. We have never stayed in a better non-chain lodge. If we ever get in the area again, we will definitely stay there. We highly recommend you stay at Carlson's Lodge on your travels in the area of Route 302, north of Fraconia Notch, New Hampshire.

This was our first time staying here and it was an extremely comfortable stay. Warm, cozy, great service and atmosphere, the owners really made us feel at home. Room was very clean and very comfy with a beautiful view. They even gave us a small gift as it was our anniversary. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a last minute change in plans due to a hiking injury. Carol at Carlson's was very helpful. Our stay turned out better than we expected. The room had everything we needed. We brought back our dinner and ate outside with beautiful views of the mountains. Carol gave us very personal attention, providing suggestions for nearby activities (we could still do).

Everything was great! My husband and I stayed for a couple nights with our daughter and my mother and we all loved the place! Very clean, friendly staff. Beautiful view! We had a two room suite with kitchenette and it was perfect. Felt very much like a New Hampshire lodge. We are happy we found it! Great location and price. Will definitely recommend and also would love top stay here again! Thank you!

This is a little hidden gem! We stayed after spending the day at Santa's Village. Great owners, lovely building, the rooms are huge and decorated with taste. The beds were very comfortable and not covered with the typical cheap bedsheets and covers other places use!! Its is easy to tell the owners have pride in their home and everything was made for comfort. Loved staying there!

We love Carlson’s Lodge! We’ve been coming here with our kids for the past 5 years. Great location, beautiful views, super clean comfortable rooms, and a very welcoming staff. I actually used to come here when I was a kid and I LOVE that I get to share the White Mountains vacation of my youth with my children. Thank you Carlson’s for all of the memories. We look forward to coming back and making many more!

Great location next to White Mountains National Forrest. Room was very clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and petunias outside window smelled wonderful with the windows open. Near Cog Railroad, trails and waterfalls. Price/value spot on. Staff very friendly.

I stayed here with my friend last weekend, and we had a great time. The owners are amazing, the place is clean, and it's close to some great attractions. As an added bonus, Will is a licensed massage therapist and miracle worker. He helped me walk again after I finished my first half triathlon. Wonderful place!

Our family has been vacationing at Carlson's Lodge for the last 20 years. We love the location with the gorgeous mountain views. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The common areas provide cozy places to gather with friends and family. The lodge is conveniently located near recreational areas including skiing, golfing, hiking and the many wonderful natural attractions in the White Mountains. Carol and her staff are so friendly and helpful. The rates are very reasonable. We think of Carlson's as our "home away from home" when visiting Northern New Hampshire.
