Started coming here in June-July 2022 . My aunt used to have a condo in the area and sadly had to sell it. So I quickly got to googling campgrounds as my boyfriend and I were starting to get more into camping. This one seemed close by to our activities we like up here (Franconia notch, the basin, Littleton Main Street , Bethlehem skatepark- all close by to this campground!) and seemed like our fit. We are both young (in our early 20s) and it was our first time camping on our own. The owners upon arrival were very welcoming and treated us with respect. Something I look for especially still being so young, they completely respected and treated us excellent.. The site we got was a regular tent site i believe t14 our first time up. Very clean and quiet and close together but it got us to say hello to new people and meet some cool dogs:) definetely great for a quick trip up for a smaller tent for a regular tent site. we explored the campground and loved site R7 while looking at other sites and booked it for that end of August for a week (that quick we were back!)We’ve been hooked on the river sites ever since ! We got a larger tent and there was still so much room at the site. There’s awesome river views, tubing, a very well kept pool, privacy (R7), animals, as well as crystal mining, but most of all there is an atmosphere that feels family like. There is amazing sunset as well as clear views of stars at night. The owners are constantly keeping up the place and cleaning and are always friendly no matter when talking to them. I appreciate this campground as I was worried when my aunts condo was sold I would stop making memories up here but it has allowed me to make even more (as well as become a better camper)! Can’t recommend enough!! Just booked for Memorial Day 2024!

We stayed on one of the campsites with full hookups. The owners are very nice and want to make sure you have a good stay. They were even nice enough to wait for us a little past final check in when we ran into some mechanical issues. They run a very family oriented place and keep it very clean. They were even nice enough to lower us borrow a jack when we had a issue with one of trailer tires. Only issue I had was that we were in a rather tight spot that was muddy, but it was the only one I saw at the campground. Also, in all fairness, they were accommodating us in the first place as we had to reschedule our original trip. Overall, I would recommend this camp ground for your camping. We have a 25 for travel trailer which they had several full hookup sites for. They also have some very nice tent sites right on the river and a very clean bath house (we did use is after we packed up our camper for the return home). Will be looking to book here again, maybe even this year if e can find some own dates.Nearby activities: Good proximity to several hiking and outdoor activities.

Wonderful campground! We stumbled across this gem purely by accident & what a pleasant surprise. Only disappointment was we were on a tight schedule & couldn't stay longer.Well kept campground with everything you need. We were camping in our motorhome so didnt experience the cabins but no doubt very nice as well. River borders the campground, tons of trees, playground, nice country store well stocked & not overpriced! We're from Oregon & we appreciate nice campgrounds!Spoke to the owner & daughter & very nice & helpful! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed at this campground in early July at site 16. We absolutely loved it. It is a small privately owned campground that is immaculately clean. Showers were clean and water was warm. Our site was not on the river because we wanted full hookup, but man are those nice sites. One of the owners personally came to warn us about a bad impending thunderstorm as well. I would highly recommend this campground and we would definitely return.

We found this campground on a map search near where family was staying so we could spend time with them. We stayed 3 nights and didn't spend alot of time at the campground. It was clean and busy for a holiday weekend. It was a very quiet place and the person that checked us in was very friendly. Most of the campground was open field which really isn't our style but we did get a spot that was not in the field. The only thing I would say is be sure to ask about where they will put you. The spot we had was listed as for small trailers, less the 25 feet. I asked if our 28 footer would fit and they said yes. It in fact did fit but I have a long truck and we had a difficult time getting into the spot with trees and water post. Now that we know how it is layed out and have seen the spots, if we go back again we know exactly which ones to ask about getting. We would recommend this place for sure.

This was our first visit to New Hampshire. The campground had all that we needed! The sites were well kept and easy to back in! We were at site 16 which had trees on all 3 sides which gave us plenty of privacy! The bathhouse were very neat and clean! The staff and owners were super nice and very helpful. The pool was open and clean! The campground is close to White mountain National Forest, Crawford Notch, and Bethal Maine (did a little shopping and hiking). We even drove to Woodstock, Vermont. This campground is close to many attractions and hiking trails! If you’re in the area I highly recommend staying here! I was super impressed and they are still continuing to upgrade and make the campground even better! If we do get to come back this is where we will stay! ❤️Nearby activities: Lots of hiking trails close and near campground!

Stayed here with our camper at the end of May. It was very peaceful and quiet, the sites are really nice and well kept. The Camp staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There's a river right next to the campground not super great access but you can go fishing along it if you wade out or if you go Upstream a bit. They also offer firewood in either bundles or wheelbarrows one wheelbarrow did us for the whole weekend and we had enough to give to our neighbors when we left. Nice and clean bath house with sinks toilets and showers available.Definitely a campground to revisit.Nearby activities: Fly fishing, hiking.

The campground is nice and well-maintained. The tent sites are right on the river however, you can’t get to the water from the sites. The tent sites are very small and, beware, sites R8 & R9 have absolutely no privacy between the 2 sites. It’s basically one site divided in two with 1 tree in between. Great if you want to share with another group. The premium sites are the way to go but at $60/night, not worth the money. Also, if you adjust any extra guests within 2 weeks of your reservation you will not get your money back. They consider that a cancellation which was never conveyed when we spoke on the phone. I would not go back.

We were happy to spend a couple of nights at this campground in Twin Mountain to enjoy the nearby sights. Staff and owners are friendly and helpful. The CG is well-maintained and easily accessible, with good amenities for all. Loved being near the river. Our site was tucked in the woods, fairly level, with easy hook-ups, but was grass and dirt and so could have used some gravel to reduce the mud from recent rains. There's very good WIFI but AT&T cell service is spotty at best. Robert told us about the possibility of bears and other critters, so we were only mildly surprised that, while enjoying a campfire one night, a skunk walked through our campsite right behind our chairs. We were very quiet and careful not to startle it... Still, we hope to come back again some time!

This campground was very nice and quiet. Unfortunately there had been quite a bit of rain so the sites were pretty wet and muddy but that's to be expected. It was a good distance to Mount Washington and very close to some other amazing trails!

Had to stop biking because of the thunderstorm coming. I thought I would have been able to continue afterwards but was so pleased to stop in this campground. It’s a quiet and well maintained place with dedicated and kind owners. Showers are clean and campsites are private. There’s wifi, a pool, access to the river, a playroom and a playground; all that for a very fair price for the area. Thanks a lot.

We tent camped here for two nights and were very impressed! The Robert, Michelle, and their daughter were all extremely friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were immaculate and it was so nice to have free showers. We had a site along 302, which we found gets a surprising amount of traffic all night (maybe 15-20 cars?). The campground itself was very clean and well maintained. We also really appreciated how quiet it was, especially given that it looked fully occupied! We will absolutely be coming back.

This is our first time in this very well kept campground, the restrooms were emasculated, very neat, staff was friendly and helpful. RV spaces are tight but hook up are placed well. The river is a rocky low level river that’s beautiful, with a Picnic area with swinging chairs that a great spot to relax. Game area has a ping-pong table and billiards table. The pool is medium size, with a small playground for young children. All areas of this campground is 5 stars and prices very reasonable.

We were originally booked into a different campground down the road and had such a hideous experience there we needed to move quickly. I called Michelle in a total panic and she was so wonderful and calming, found us a space for the week and told us to come right in.Robert and Michelle have the most darling campground along the river, (the clue is in the name 😉), they are friendly and accommodating, offering a family run campground with great amenities in an excellent location. We spent a few evenings around the campfire with the owners and other campers. If you are looking for a place that feels like home with awesome hosts then look no further. You will arrive as strangers and leave as friends.

This is the first review I have posted prior to leaving the place we visited. We checked in on Monday afternoon, 8/8 and we are here until this Friday morning, 8/12. PLEASE disregard the reviews of this campground from the prior owner. We have been to many, many campgrounds over the past 25 years...this is the ABSOLUTE BEST ONE EVER!!! We tried to find even one thing we don't like. It's all perfect...staff, location, grounds. Our site, R7, is SO much better than the picture shown. The campground is silent and dark after 10 p.m. The best thing? They have the cleanest bathrooms and showers we have ever seen. We will certainly be back!!!

Spent a great weekend at this quaint and immaculate campground. My husband and I have both been camping our entire lives and this was easily one of the cleanest campgrounds! Sites were spotless, including the fire ring.We stayed on a grassy riverfront site with our pup, and while the sites surrounding us looked compact, ours was the perfect size for our 13ft camper. We were able to back it in parallel to the river tucked into the corner giving us a great river view!Trees and shrubs between sites offered privacy despite close proximity to neighbors. It appeared our site (R6B I believe) had been recently split into two, and greenery between those sites is still young so would be a great set of sites for two parties traveling together.River was accessible from the common area steps, but would be to steep to reach at least from our site. Lots of little brook trout! Could hear it babbling in the evening which was perfect for sleeping. We spent only a weekend and did not use many of the plentiful amenities, but the pool appeared spotless, and plenty of families enjoyed the playground, volleyball, and rec center with at least ping-pong and bumper pool from what I could see. The spotless and bug free bathhouse offered free showers. Fire pits do not come with grates, but they can be rented at the counter. The central location to the Notches, Mt. Washington, the Flume, the Basin and the Franconia bike trail make it ideal for day trips to the surrounding sights. Parking for the bike trail was conveniently located less than 15 minutes away.As we enjoy the peace and quiet, the campground quiet hours were appreciated. Rowdy groups may prefer elsewhere, but for those who enjoy a relaxing camping experience, nature in its glory, friendly and hospitable hosts, and immaculate cleanliness, this is definitely the place to stay. We will undoubtedly be back!

We really enjoyed staying at Along the River, we spent 2 weeks at the camp in Aug 2021. We loved the owners are right on site and really keep the place nice and clean. The shower house is cleaned daily, I only wish it was a little bigger. We saw the camp nearly empty to totally full and when the camp is full the shower house can get crowded. That being said we would definitely stay again! Loved our stay and it is right in the middle of everything you want to do in the area!

We tent camped here for a weekend in August 2020 and it was absolutely amazing! Super kind owners, and a calm, relaxing, and quiet campground. This was our first time tent camping in a long time and it couldn't have gone any better. We easily purchased firewood from the store, had a perfectly spacious and private set up at the site, and there are clean bathrooms for washing up after a long day. Close proximity to the hiking trails was great! Already booked our next 4 night stay in October 2020. Can't wait!

If there’s availability book here! This campground is a gem in a beautiful area. From the great owners to the amazing scenery; we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Being right along the river is a lovely bonus to the spacious sites, cutest little pet ducks, communal fires, and valuable information on the local area. The owners were kind enough to let us tour their cabins which we will definitely keep in mind for our next trip without the rv. We will definitely be returning!

Where to start.... it was pure luck that I found this campground on google. We’re from Maine and wanted to hike through the mountains of New Hampshire. This campground was about 20 minutes give or take from everything we wanted to do. The cabins were perfect and when we called to book the woman who answered the phone was so helpful we quickly realized this was the spot. When we arrived one of the owners greeted us with a big smile. She remembered our whole phone conversation and was excited we chose her campground. Our whole experience at Along the river was perfect. The river itself was beyond beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The beds were the most comfortable beds. My 9 year old son had The time of his life. What really made the experience was the hospitality of the owners Michelle, Rob & their daughter Jackie. We have already booked for next year and look forward to this new family tradition of adventuring through NH and staying at Along the river. Thank you guys again for everything. See you next year!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this friendly, family-owned campground. Thought it would have been nice to have a little more space between sites, and you'll need to be able to tune some traffic noise out of your head, our riverside site facing the Ammonoosuc River made for a very peaceful setting to have morning coffee and to enjoy a quiet, relaxing couple of hours in the afternoon when the other campers were off hiking and sightseeing in the beautiful White Mountains National Forest. There was a group that was a little too loud for my taste that did not seem to care that they were the only loud bunch during what should have been quiet hours, but it was Friday night, and all in all our stay was a pleasant one. The owners are very nice and accommodating. We would stay here again if we ever returned to the area.

We had a wonderful experience. Robert and Michelle were so nice and helpful. We purchased tickets and needed to have them printed. They helped us. They had a fire and asked us to join them. Never an unkind word. We will stay there again. Would highly the campground if you are in the area.

This campground definitely not one of my favorites. It's located along a busy highway, the campground itself is kind of small and claustrophobic, and there's a lot of mosquitoes-just a suggestion get rid of the grassy campsites in favor of more gravel and concrete.

Excelent place!!!! Super confortable, the camp sites are big and well located. The amenities are also well maintained, clean and fun :P (pin pong table and pool!). The staff is incredible!! Super kind and helpful. We have an issue with my key (we forgot it at the campsite) and they look for it, found it and took it to us, and we were 40 min away from the place!!!! I cannot say how much we appreciate this help!!!!!
