A friend and I ,on Mass. School vacation ,went to PPP and took our 5 boys ages 11 to 4 and told them to sit us in the back because the boys can be quite rowdy. The server got everything we needed fast and efficient as well as made us feel a home. Even on the way out she told us they were prefect and we had nothing to even worry about our boys were awesome. Thank You 😊Food on point as always. Since I was a baby I've been going there, kind of cool to bring my kids there, and hope one day my kids will be bringing their kid.Kid-friendliness: Loads of highchairs, crayons and easy access to the restrooms

Went here Sunday with some friends. Our server Jill was exceptional. The table shared some pub wings and sweet chili Thai wings - both were very good. Our table order 2 steak sandwiches, one meatball sub and one ruben. All the were well sized and very tasty. We had a great experience in the relaxed atmosphere - make sure you check out the bathroom signage!

REALLY disappointed in the food. It’s not very good… I ordered something that EVERY restaurant should be able to make, a cheeseburger. I got a child’s size bun with two of the tiniest, thin beef patties I’ve ever seen. This came with only a small handful of fries, which were overcooked, some were burned. For the money, you can get far better quality, and better meals, at ANY other restaurant. The staff is nice enough, and it’s a decent enough looking place, but after giving them four or five chances, both dining in and take out, I won’t be back, I am done. I’m tired of being disappointed.~ Side note, I was going to order a drink while waiting because I was just standing in the middle of the restaurant, (there’s no place to wait for take out!) but I was never even acknowledged! I mentioned to another customer that I must be invisible. He actually had to get the attention of the bar tender before I was even addressed. But I found out they also only serve beer and wine….Don’t bother.

Conveniently located, friendly staff, great food, good prices, very nice ambiance. We were there right at lunch time and it did get busy really fast, but they seem to be doing the best they could to seat and wait on everyone. We both had pastrami sandwiches, and both of us enjoyed them very much. Definitely would go there again, highly recommended.

I love this place. I've been going here since I was 10 years old. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. The staff is always friendly and always seem to have a smile on their face. The food is reasonably priced and the drinks are really good. The staff is knowledgeable This is an iconic place. If you're going up to Wakefield New Hampshire, it's a must to go to. Also, I highly recommend the lobster roll best New England

Very friendly staff and great lobster rolls! Everything is very fair priced as well. Was impressed that they had gluten free bread/bun options

Food was average, just sandwiches and a burger basically. Inside is cold (temperature wise) and didn't feel welcoming. You walk into the door and the bar is right there with everyone staring at you. We're actually locals and it still felt like we didn't belong. Service was weird, two servers didn't even smile or acknowledge us and our actual server talked to us twice. We spent a lot of time looking around waiting for someone to come to our table. Definitely will not be back.

Terrific experience all the way around!I still have a shirt from when I was a teenager, and got one when I visited this weekend. 0ur waitress was wonderful I believe her name was Jill she had a nursery rhyme name she definitely made us laugh LOL :-) She made the night as well as the terrific steak tips.

Pizza looked and tasted great! Burger with egg, but the egg was way too underdone. Beans tasted like canned ones. Ham was fair. Coleslaw was edible.Waitresses seemed helpful and friendly, except for the one we had 😕 Felt very rushed. Wish we got a different one.It looked like a spot for locals. There appears to be a lot of history with this place.Hope this helps and thank you for reading.Parking: Dirt lot.

HORRIBLE PIZZA !! I have eaten here before, years ago, and had a burger that was ok, at best. Was looking to find a place to pick up a pizza, not a ton of options that were on our route so decided to order from here. Staff was very nice on the phone and at pick up so that's why I gave it 2 stars. Ordered a large pizza that was the size of a small at any other pizza place and it tasted like a very cheap frozen pizza ,( that's even being generous) I have no real words to explain the taste. For the price $18 !!! I would have been better off getting a hot dog at a gas station!

I was visiting New Hampshire to see my mom and sisters. She has a campsite at Totem Pole Park and we stopped here for lunch. The food was awesome!! Had the turkey bacon pub sandwich with chips. We sat in the back room.

A locals hangout filled with others as well. If looking for some local cuisine and don't feel you get to pay a pretty penny, head over there. It was my first visit and I was enjoying the relaxed pace, friendly service and seat-yourself atmosphere. I had the chowder, a grill cheese and the strawberry shortcake. Mummy! It was good. Meal come to about $20 with my tea. Definitely worth coming out to relax and enjoy food, folks and friendly banter with strangers. It was worth the moment.

We hadn't been here in a long while, but decided it was time to go again. I had the most delicious lobster roll! Other great choices among our group were the ruben sandwich, steak tip dinner, and the cheeseburger sub. Poor People's Pub has excellent food at a reasonable price, plus great service! The atmosphere is friendly and casual. We will definitely go more often.

The food is consistent. I've been going here since I was a kid, and not much has changed. My go-to is mushroom pizza, and I love that I know exactly how it's going to taste, and it hasn't been altered in their time. Specials daily, and while I was there, the macaroni and cheese looked fresh, cheesy and yummy. Pastrami is always just right, not too fatty. Great place to get a pitcher of beer. They always come out ice cold. Nothing fancy, just good food, decent prices, fast service and some kitsch.Kid-friendliness: There's a kids menu, but most of the items on the regular menu are foods kids eat.

The food here leaves much to be desired. A college kid could’ve made something better in a dorm room microwave. However the strawberry lemonade was delicious. Also the environment was cheery with all the locals so I can see why people that go there a lot like the place. But as someone just passing through, it’s definitely not a place I would go back to.Dietary restrictions: Menu did say they offer gluten free bread if requested for sandwiches, so that was cool at least.

Service was great. We got pitchers of the poor people's pale ale 🔥 townie bar feel. Fairly cheap prices.

It's a true pub atmosphere. They have amazing long wooden tables with a live edge that can seat about 12 people. Best part you can have 2 parties at either end and have a conversation with new people. Food(sandwiches & subs) were great. Great pours for wine and beer at extremely reasonable prices. First time visiting but will definitely go back!

The food and atmosphere, and especially the service was amazing at the Poor People's Pub. After being in NH for a few days of trying different restaurants, when I wasn't cookin on the grill, this place had the best food we had the pleasure of trying. I had the paupers burger and was extremely happy with it so much I finished it all, unlike the last four places we tried out in the area. My wife had the hobo sandwich and it was just loaded with corned beef. Really tasty. My daughter said they were the best wings she's had in years, except for my Gumbo Wings. Also most definitely try the pepperoni sticks. I wish I had bought a tub of their marinara. It sealed the deal. Thanks so much to all at the Pub.

They dont have a tap for cards, so my digital card wasn't accepted. It's 2023 they could update. I had baked beans with dark bread...was tasty...but i have to admit beans takes like out of a can...they could do a better job but a decent place given that it's the middle of nowhere (i live in MA, so NH is not my thing). Staff was nice. Coffee was surprisingly decent too.
