Pretty nice place. The "Oasis" is fun for all. The rooms are good, bathtubs big enough for use.The breakfast buffet is a waste of money. It's mediocre food at a high price. The video game area is a waste. They went cheap and have no games loaded on the systems. The classic games like air hockey and such actual require quarters to use, should be free at the rates they charge.

I took my family here for a two night stay that I won in a raffle. The only stipulation was we had to sit through a 60-90 minute tour regarding their time shares. Our room exceeded my expectations. Ample space for us with a full kitchen. Needed some updates like the flooring. But overall the room was great. The one HUGE drawback was the amount of stairs. We are a family of five we had a lot of stuff. We had to go up three flights of stairs with our stuff. So definitely not a good place for elderly or handicapped. And if you have a toddler it might be good to mention that and possibly get a unit without stairs. They brought us a crib which was great. It is January so I figured it wouldn’t be too busy here. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get room service due to shortage in staff. Which also led to the unpleasant experience of having no coffee in the morning. I called twice to have someone bring it to our room and was told to call back after seven am. The employee was rude and it was like I was a bother to her. Called back a second time to be told it would come but they didn’t know when. We decided to just pack up and leave at that point. I have three little boys. Mama needs her coffee. The pool and water slides were a hit. I saw some people saying their kids got rashes from the pool but that didn’t happen to us. Staff there was nice. It’s a little confusing how they do the pool entry so I do wish that was explained a little better when we got there. Sledding and ice skating was a lot of fun. Now, the time share presentation….. I wouldn’t say they are pushy. But man do they really want to get you to buy in. Everyone was so nice until they realized we really were not buying in. Seems like a great program for rich people 🤣.

We loved this place so much!! We stayed in early December. We were in the south building, I was told it was the newest one. We had an amazing mountain view. The restaurant was really good, the rooms were clean and so spacious. The large pool was really fun for the family! We stayed here as part of the time share vacation program, we got a good deal and had to listen to a person try to sell us their program. We wouldn’t buy into it but will probably be back sometime in the future because it was great!

Alright, where do I start here...Pros: The place is beautiful. The room we stayed in had the largest jetted tub I have ever seen in a hotel room and it was so relaxing. I didn't get to experience many of the amenities because I was sick, but they did have a nice pool, market, etc. that we walked by, and we did have a chance to get room service dinner and eat buffet breakfast at the onsite restaurant, both of which were delicious.Cons: 1. No elevators. 2. The sales people. My goodness...we signed up for one of the discounted stays in exchange for attending the "vacation club" presentation. (It's "not a timeshare".) My husband and I have both worked in high pressure sales before, so we know how all the tactics go ("if you buy today", "here's how this is personalized for you", etc.) and that these people are probably working on commission. But there's a point where you just have to chill and accept that someone is just there for the free stuff. The presentation and the tour were great and the guy was so nice, but when we said we weren't going to buy it was like a switch flipped and he started freaking out like "so you're never going to vacation again?! you'd rather spend more money than buy this program?!" etc. and looked like he was going to cry. Do I feel bad that he couldn't make his sale? Of course, but that's not my problem that your job pays on commission so relax and don't take it out on me. We got out of there, got our gifts and thought that would be the last of it. (Still waiting on my food credit.) But no, they called the next day and tried to sell me their trial package over the phone and continuously asked why I didn't want it...like dude, if I didn't buy it while I was there I don't want it now. It makes me want it even less that you're pushing it on me this hard. Like I was planning on potentially staying there again to experience the amenities, but after the extra phone call and still not getting my food credit, that won't be happening.Overall, is the discounted stay worth it? There's a point where high pressure sales turns into begging and you just look ridiculous and start verging on harassment. If you're ok with tolerating this and can continuously say no even when they try to guilt trip you to the ends of the Earth, go for it and take the promo.

Steele Hill Resort is an amazing place to get away and clear your mind. Great service, excellent food and the pools and hot tubs are a great way to relax. Bring the whole family the kids will love it.Rooms: There are many different types of rooms and sizes. You can get a room with a hot tub in it to relax. Also you want to get a room with a view most rooms face the mountains and the scenery is beautiful. Some rooms do not have a view but are still very quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend especially in the summer.

I stayed here with my family from the end of October to early November. I wanted to give this place 4 stars because the room was a bit outdated but I had to give it five. We stayed in the South building in a studio room. The room felt spacious, had a full kitchen, a fireplace and an amazing view! I can't say enough about the view! There are multiple pools at the resort but we only used the large one in the West building which we all enjoyed. The resort restaurant was a surprise to us in just how good all the food was. No one came to replenish towels or anything everyday but it was easy asking the front desk for anything needed which I enjoyed. All the staff were very nice, professional, and helpful. The resort is a little remote but you are right outside Laconia which has a ton to do and it's easy to drive to the other towns on the lake. We went after the season ended which appears to be the last weekend of October but still had a good time going to community events and checking out local shops. While there are other resorts in the area, I highly recommend giving Steele Hill Resort a chance. I will most certainly be back.Rooms: I stayed in a studio which was equipped with 2 queen beds (a Murphy bed and pull out couch), a full kitchen, 1 full bath, washer and dryer, and a patioNearby activities: There are 4 pools on the property and they hold events throughout the week for guests to partake in. There is a golf course which I did not use as well as ebikes to rent and outdoor laser tag. Outside of the resort in nearby towns you will find many things to do throughout the year.

Reserved a room on the phone with customer service, specifically stating that it was not only a "big" room it also had a balcony and a fireplace. Arrive, check in, and get to our room, it is the size of a closet. If I am standing by the sink or TV, I have to move to the side of the bed so that my wife can get by( mind you, we are physically fit). Called the office and were told they would send an email for the morning staff, but nothing was available tonight. DO NOT FALL FOR THE PICTURES YOU SEE ONLINE!! We made the best of it, even though we were blindsided. Would not recommend.

We've been twice in two years. The facility is clean and offers lots of fun for the family. Not too far from some skiing, and in the summer you're in the thick of the lakes. Go have some fun at a resort that makes sure you will do just that!!Food & drinks: The restaurant offers a very good take on family friendly comfort foods. The bars have great micro brews and fun resort cocktails for poolside or any time. The convenience store has lots of choices to help you cook breakfast or plan a movie night.

We have enjoyed Steele Hill since 2018, when my wife and I went to a wedding and enjoyed it so much, we decided to participate in a prepaid points program where we pay annual dues of around $600, and enough points are dropped in where we get 6-8 nights a year. We enjoy the views and the access that the West side units and pool have to offer. There is also a viewing tower with stunning 270° views North, South and East. The staff are always attentive to the little details, and are always adequately staffed. Their location is quite remote, literally on top of a hill, about 20-30 minutes to most shopping and skiing throughout the Lakes region like Weirs Beach, Gunstock, Tilton Outlets and lots to do throughout the North country. Making memories to last a lifetime!

We stayed at your resort this past Sunday 1/7/24 and Monday 1/8/24 and we were disappointed with the room and have some concerns for future guests. We were put in one of the rooms on the 3rd floor and much to our dismay there were no elevators to use but we dealt with it and moved on. However, when we went to use the jacuzzi tub it was dirty, there was a reddish black mold in the jets and a clump of the past guest's hair in the tub. When we tried to fill the tub after cleaning it, the hot water ran out about 1/4 of the way into filling it. The fridge was another issue in itself, the freezer portion was completely iced over. The rug in the room needs to be repaired or replaced as the seam is coming apart, and for whatever reason there was a dirty used mop in the closet. The positive side of things was that the staff at check in was very nice and the restaurant staff was amazing.

I vacationed this location for a number of years, when I tell you NOTHING has changed...literally nothing has changed. Everything from the pools to the rooms, everything is outdated. The food is ok but the price is large with very small portions. They rarely have room service where you can have something delivered, so we found ourselves running to get our own drinks and food (hardly resort quality). My room was ok, the tv didnt work nor did the fire place, it was smaller than I normally book and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I was there for 3 days and never once had a turn over or a touch up in my room. The staff are friendly but the resort seemed empty and the staff seemed very sluggish and sad. I would probably start thinking of a different family getaway for the winters. The main pool needs to be seriously repaired as there were more than 10 leaks in the glass roof dripping on all of the guests with freezing snow melt. The rust is taking over in spots and it honestly needs a face lift. The entire "Resort" needs to be updated. They also need to consider re- pricing their menu items to match the hotel experience. 50.00 for 5 milkshakes is insane for the presentation. The ice cream wasn't great...tasted like cardboard. I've had some really great memories when I was younger here...im sad I won't share in this experience with MY children going forward. I sincerely hope they get it together and don't shut down because it really felt like they had given up.

This place has a beautiful view. Sadly, our wedding was called off two weeks before the wedding date. We were unable to move our date out per the venue not wanting to work with us. Unfortunately, we lost a lot of money because of this. I can certainly see why the venue decided not to let us move our date to the following year. However, I also find it disheartening that they didn’t.Please know the rest of my review is NOT based on Steele Hill not wanting to work with us regarding a new date. The following would have been posted even if we didn’t cancel the wedding. If you book here, know that the food tasting in March is not a way for you to taste the items you are thinking of having plated. I wish I knew this ahead of time. I didn’t realize everyone booked in that year goes to the tasting and the caterer cooks what they feel is most popular for everyone to try.The desserts are mini sized so you are not getting a good feel for what they will look/taste like. This was super disappointing aside from the chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Because the cupcakes were mini (golf ball size) they were dry. The cake we tasted was overly moist. The apple crisp was in a container smaller than a shot glass and was awful. The other guests at our table were also disappointed. We had issues with booking. We had asked about handicap rooms - making sure there were no stairs for this type of room. They said no problem, that we actually get two of these type of rooms blocked regardless. Perfect! However, when my fiancés mother called to book a handicap room, it was already booked. My fiancé had to call back regarding the room issue. They had given the room to someone who was NOT handicap. Why they would do this is beyond me. Booking also gave us a hard time when we asked to have a receipt and confirmation regarding a booking. They were unable to give us the information - only the person who booked was allowed to ask. Que issue 2… his aunt has dementia so you can understand why she couldn’t call and why we’re trying to make sure she was all set for her room. They only gave the information after my fiancé called after I did and had to reiterate everything I had already said.A lot of guests were also annoyed because they would call to book, but no one ever answered the phone. If someone did leave a message, no one would get back to them.I myself even called several times and days in a row and would get no one. I understand we can leave a message but typically when people call to book, they have time in that moment to do due so. They are not looking for a call back days later.

I'm staying at the resort for the holiday. What a beautiful place you have. We had the Thanksgiving dinner and it was DELICIOUS!!!! So much to choose from and as much as you want. I'll never cook Thanksgiving dinner again. The Chef and staff should be proud of the spread they put out. Thank you for a wonderful stayRooms: My room was neat and clean. Extra linens. And the view spectacular

Great area with very nice rooms. The restaurant and bar are extremely expensive but the food and drinks are rather good. It's a nice place to bring the family and relax.I'd beware of the elderly woman who like to graze about in the pool as they don't like smaller children, or in fact any children. It's unfortunate not all people are friendly and love life, but that's the way life is.Overall I'd give it a 7.5-8/10 and I'd definitely bring the family back again.Rooms: Town house style that sleeps 8

Great place to go with families or with one other. When we arrived Friday night we were greeted with great hospitality. Saturday we enjoyed the indoor pool at the West building very hot in there but the water was refreshing. They had two slides one big one that went fast and a smaller one for the kids. Great choices of hot tubs too for relaxation. Our room was spacious and even though there was a wedding on the property we couldn't hear it at night. The pool that is outdoors in the East building was deep and a little chilly but on a hot day worth it. They also had a tiki bar where you could get food and drinks. The staff are wonderful and friendly which makes it more enjoyable for everyone. The views are absolutely amazing from anywhere. We even saw fireworks Sunday night. The property was clean and no litter anywhere. We already have plans to come back but maybe to stay for a week. It was very relaxing and plenty to do no matter the time of day. From golfing, to swimming and everything in between I be you'll be able to find something no matter what the weather. See you again soonRooms: Clean, bright and spacious and are very secured with key card access to depending what room you got you may have to go through two doorsNearby activities: Onsite they have a 9 hole golf course, horseshoes, volleyball, plenty of grass space to play football or catch, various hiking trails and a lot of onsite daily programs and activities geared towards kids, West hotel second floor has air hockey, PS4 gaming, and ping pongSafety: Lots of doors to access your room make sure to always have your keycard with you and the indoor pool down in the East building and a separate key is required to access the indoor pool in the west hotel building. Lot's of lightning throughout the property but not enough to disturb stargazingWalkability: Everything is walkable. The only tricky walk is getting to the West hotel indoor pool hill is very steep. Off season I saw people drive up and parkFood & drinks: Great selections of food and drinks both alcoholic and non and also make sure to ask about their milkshakes. I'll have to get one next time they looked really good. By the pool in the tiki bar they offer both fat free chocolate and vanilla ice creamNoteworthy details: As far I know I don't think there are any elevators on the property. Correct me if I'm wrong

We stayed here 11/10/23- 11/12/23. I have been here on and off for some years. The customer service has decreased. That is my biggest complaint. The room we stayed in was not horrible, but at the same time nothing special. The waiter for breakfast Sunday morning was RUDE! I don't remember his name, but he only paid attention to my boyfriend. It was weird and didn't make me feel comfortable. No one asked how our stay was when we checked out. Hopefully, with they improve with their customer service!

Location is very nice because of the scenery. pool is also very nice. That is the only good things I can say about this place. HORRIBLE customer service, I came with my boyfriend and another couple for a weekend and we speak Portuguese. We were talking to a lady at the desk about the time share offer and she straight up told me I needed to speak english to have a time share offer, very unprofessional…..I am American, born here and speak english fluently, I should not have to say that but for someone to only offer you certain things if you speak english is atrocious. To use the pool you must have a “reservation” and can only be there for 90mins at a time. All in all, come here if you please but be aware that rooms are outdated, customer service is trash, and you cannot use the amenities as you wish.

housekeeping manager/ other employees in housekeeping are extremely unprofessional and rude, management knows about tips being stolen with proof provided and do nothing and lie about the amount of work they have their employees do even with physical proof. allow employees to miss days off bc they are too “hungover” to go to work. employees bully people 10/20 years younger than them. management talks bad about employees behind their backs for leaving an hour early for unexpected emergency surgery on a day they weren’t even supposed to be there. will accuse you of not doing your job bc of mistakes THEY made with 0 apologies. allow other employees to get in your face and when it’s brought to their attention they again do nothing. great place to visit and i’m sure any other job there is decent but the housekeeping manager and other employees in housekeeping are not people you want to work with.

Stayed here Labor Day weekend and really enjoyed it. Firstly the views were just amazing. The room we stayed in was a good size and we all felt right at home.Pros•comfortable bed•balcony (with table and chairs)•VEIW•multiple pools•hot tub & sauna•customer service•restaurant on premises (enjoyed the food)•activities (golf, hiking etc)I want to say the only thing I wasn’t fond of was the temperature in the room for the indoor pool, it was uncomfortable.Beside that, our stay here was pleasant and peaceful and I would definitely stay here again. I’m sure the fall would be stunning to see.
