This was a great place to stop for breakfast to start last weekends trip up north. Everything is made fresh, and there's always "special" flavored pancakes each week. This week's specials were blue banana (blueberry and banana) and white raspberry( white chocolate chips and raspberries), so I figured I'd try one of each. I also got sides of bacon and home fries. The cool thing about this place is it's also a working farm, so some ingredients produced on the farm are used when they cook breakfast. They also have a large barn with all types of farm animals running around that you can check out after you eat. Only open on Friday and Saturday from 7:30-12:30.

Eat pancakes, pet goats and feed chickens. Who could ask for more? Heritage Farm has a unique feel and ambiance to it. In lieu of tips, donations for the up keep for the animals is asked. As a customer, you can walk the grounds and pet the various farm animals. They accept credit card for payment so you can spend your quarters on feed for the farm animals if you so choose. In addition to the animals, they have a peddle piano/giant music box. I apologize as I don’t know the correct name but its an old device and such a quant addition to the place. It was such a fun stop in our day, I would highly encourage others to check it out!

This was a fun experience! We had a 45 minute wait but while we waited we visited the animals, played on the playground, watched them make maple syrup and tried some too! The portions are big and we loved all the pancake flavor options.I was most impressed with the hospitality and kindness of the family. They were packed, but everyone made sure we were having a good time and well taken care of!

We had an amazing experience! It truly was an experience rather than just going out to breakfast. When we arrived we had a 30 minute wait, but we were told we could walk around the grounds and they would come find us when our table was ready. There's a barn out back with cows, chickens, goats & sheep to feed. This is where we spent most of our wait. Not to mention the food was absolutely amazing! And they serve the pancakes with their own maple syrup.

We stopped here for brunch on Monday - absolutely delicious. We didn't have any wait and the order came out pretty quick. We ordered a small and large serving - comes out on a large platter. This order came with three large pancakes, three eggs, three pieces of bacon and some great fried potatoes. They have several flavours of pancakes and you can make all pancakes ordered different flavours. We had apple cinnamon, gingerbread and birthday cake (dessert lol). This was just right for the both us - to be very full hahaha. Enjoyed it very much, and was great to see the production of the maple syrup from the restaurant area. Thank you very much 😀👍

We absolutely love Heritage Farm! The people are so welcoming and kind. We love the family-style service and the food tastes comforting and cozy. My children loved the chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate milk. The bacon is my favorite. My kids spent hours playing with the animals on this beautiful autumn day and learned a lot. We highly recommend you patron this restaurant and support a local business and family.

This place was incredible! My girlfriend and I stumbled upon it on a Saturday morning and were graced by the majesty of this property, family, and food. We were greeted by being asked if we wanted to hold a puppy, and then left unattended for an indefinite period of time. When we told the cashier we were first-timers, she seemed genuinely excited to share with us how their menu and seating system worked. The food was delicious as well, all authentic breakfast food items. Didn't take enough pictures of the breakfasts before we destroyed them, but the were pancakes were massive. There are goats and mini-horses in the backyard of the restaurant that you can pet and feed. You should definitely visit this place if you have a Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning in the area!

I ate here this morning with my daughter. I only live five miles as the eagle flies but had never heard of this delightful family farm operation. It's not hard to find and as you wind your way through the back roads of Sanbornton, you pass ancient stone walls and farms well over 150 years old.In nice summer weather, don't be surprised if some baby goats visit you and try to mooch some food. They're guaranteed to put a smile on your face! The atmosphere is quintessential New Hampshire. Food was fantastic!!!

Wonderful!Have passed the little yard sign for years going past Mosquito Bridge & decided to go for my bday breakfast this year. They have thoughtfully remade their entire way of doing business in response to the pandemic. It was really reassuring to me, and I'm really conservative about it all. I felt very comfortable there and relaxed out in the sunshine safely distanced.Breakfast food was great: pancakes jumbo, bacon crisp, eggs as ordered. Yum!Warm friendly staff explain everything clearly. No tipping policy (yay! Fairer to all staff}.there's a real, authentic farmer and farmhouse feel to it all. Horses and ponies and chickens greet you as guests...Support local! Esp when it's this good😊

Service is home family style with everything on a platter and help yourself. There are more than a dozen pancake flavors available and they are happy to mix and match them in the large fluffy cakes. The bacon alone is worth the trip. They have wonderful maple syrup and some local farm craft soaps and preserves. Maybe you'll meet the big loveable dog named Fern.

Gorgeous and fun place for the kids. They can get very close to the farm animals and feed them. Their menu is a $15 set of items for adults and an $8 set for kids. I said I can't finish an adult set and they let me order a kids meal too. The pancakes are huge!

Best breakfast on vacation ever! The pumpkin pancakes were delicious. The potatoes were cooked perfect and seasoned so well. The eggs were light and fluffy. Can't wait to go back!!!

Where to begin? You're on a farm somewhere in NH and being served delicious homemade breakfast. The food is locally sourced, even from their own farm when possible. The pancakes are to die for! We got them vegan, with almond milk. There might be a wait there but you can always spend that time out back with the chickens and sheep. The owner is really friendly and welcoming.

We came here on the recommendation of our family that lives in the area (I'm from out of state) and how great the huge pancakes are. We were seated promptly and liked the cute family style menu. When we got our food, we were only given a tiny half full bottle of their syrup (picture below). Keep in mind, they are known for their generous pancake sizing and we ordered 3. Once our waitress finally came back upstairs we asked for more and she told us that they gave us plenty and will have to charge us $4 for another bottle! We tried to explain that they only gave us half a bottle but she told us that they don't want customers abusing the syrup amounts and have to restrict how much they give out. What? The pancakes are the whole reason we came here! Luckily, the ladies at the next table got involved since they were given a full bottle of syrup for only 2 pancakes and they ended up giving us their syrup. Our waitress then disappeared again for the rest of our stay without ever offering a coffee refill. Considering the previously positive experience of our family that sat downstairs we can only guess at what the disconnect here today was. We gave 4 stars because while we will probably make the drive back out at some point, overall they did not live up to their reputation today.

It was OK. I thought that one review about the change of ownership was just someone being picky because all of the other reviews were so great. Nope, that review was spot on.This was our first time here so I don't know how it used to be but there is no way all these people are raving about this good. It was OK but far from great. Can't believe that we woke up early for that. It was a lot like going to IHOP. Same breakfast you can get anywhere. There was no line at 7:30 but by 8 there was a huge back up. Glad we didn't have to wait in line for that. The petting zoo is fine as a free bonus but they want to start charging for that and I wouldn't pay for that as it is now.

The people are really nice, and they have an atmosphere set up that feels colonial. The playground outside is a really nice touch. The animals and farm are theain attraction. The food was, well, the pancakes were flavored cardboard, overcooked and dry. The bacon was delicious, the eggs were overcooked when asked for medium. There's no servers, you clean you own table after you eat. Go for the experience not the food.

I was blown away by this place. Had no idea what to expect when driving here cause it seems so out of place but the food and the service are on another level. Delicious and incredible friendly. Awesome for families. So much for kids to do and adults to appreciate

Been here two years in a row. This year (2023) it has become a LOT more expensive and we will not be heading back. Just our breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids under 5 came to over $40. Ordered 2 eggs sunny side up and only found out afterwards it didn’t even come with toast. Ordered white toast and that was $3.50. The playground is an insurance incident waiting to happen—make sure everyone has their tetanus shots prior to arrival. The petting zoo (not much of one to begin with and I’d avoid petting the geese) suddenly sprouted up a “donation” sign which wasn’t there last year. A few chickens and a goat—that just adds insult to injury. The petting zoo would’ve come to $40 if we were to pay that too.The farm has a great atmosphere and view. It’s such a pretty area and has plenty of opportunity. Great bacon. Good pancakes. Bring an electric fly swatter. But they need to bring the prices back down to planet earth. What they’re currently asking for ($3.50 for two pieces of white bread that should come with eggs really???) is absolutely a total shakedown. Especially considering there isn’t any table service. Also, please for the love of all things holy, FIX or better yet replace that “playground.” It’s not suitable for little kids. Jagged metal and plenty of really dangerous drops that could easily send a kids to the hospital or their afterlife. Live free or die, I suppose they don’t care which one.

Very fun and very friendly place. Did not eat any pancakes (I don't like pancakes 💁) but had a great time checking out the animals. The staff brought out apples for my 4yr old to feed the horses. The staff makes you feel right at home here!

This was our fourth time going there and we love it!! I have seen some negative reviews that it takes so long to get your food or it’s so expensive.. the eggs bacon are fresh the pancakes are made from scratch! Maybe you should go to Denny’s of IHOP and eat garbage! As for my wife and I and our friends that have come with us several times we love it and every time we’re up there it will always be our go to place!!!!

What…happened? We were here in 2020 and were so impressed by the location, food, and service that we decided to go again with our family of 4 this summer. We came here on a Saturday at around 10:30, which was understandably busy. We were told 30-40 mins, didn’t get seated until 1 hour after arrival and that was after we had checked to see how long of a wait we had left. We were served our drinks but the food didn’t come out for another hour. In total spent 2 hours for mediocre food. There weren’t at least some self serve water stations to help? Luckily the location was still beautiful and it was a nice day out to wait. Unfortunately not worth coming back.

This breakfast spot is absolutely adorable and everything we ate was delicious. We came here on a Sunday for brunch with a party of 6. We arrived right at opening, and there was already a line to order. It took a bit to get through and order, but we found a comfy seat inside the sugar shack. There is lots of seating with various levels of sun and shade on the property. You can tell it is still a family run business, as the place looks like a little farmhouse still and there are photos of family members on the wall who were working when we were there. We spent some time walking around and seeing the animals while we waited for food. The property is beautifully kept and the animals are clearly healthy and happy. The food was delicious, one member of our party was especially happy to be able to eat pancakes because he has celiac and they had gluten free options. I would definitely recommend this place. Prepare to come early and be patient, it’s a tiny kitchen and you can tell they’re all hustling.
