My husband and I, along with our dogs, stayed at Baker Rocks for a special weekend and it was AMAZING. Best vacation we've had in a long time. This land is beautiful, the sites are well spaced and comfortable and the bathhouse is so clean. The owners have thought of every detail and it shows. Amanda was so accommodating. She is truly a gem, so kind and very cool! Our dogs loved it, as well and it was so nice to be able to take them with us and trust that they will be safe and enjoy themselves. There is so much to see on the property itself and it's so freeing that we can just walk and explore. We can't wait to come back. Baker Rocks really does feel like staying at our best friend's place, our own home away from home and really our own slice of heaven on earth for a few days. It so relaxing and refreshing to be here. We absolutely love it. Amanda, we really can't thank you enough. This place you've created is incredible and you are a wonderful, wonderful host. Thank you for welcoming us and we can't wait to see you again for our next stay!

Wow!! We just recently stayed at this beautiful property/camp ground and we were so impressed from arrival to departure (we didn’t want to leave!). We were looking for a fun weekend away and are so happy we came across other positive reviews for this place! The property is absolutely beautiful and the owners were so friendly and accommodating! When we arrived we were greeted by one of the owners and they went over the layout of the property. There are so many fun activities and trails to explore. We immediately got changed and walked down a short path to the river and tried out the kayaks and then relaxed on the sandy shore. After a nice dinner we made a campfire and did some epic stargazing. Finally, we enjoyed the hot tub before heading to bed. The house was very clean and well maintained. It had everything we could have needed and so much more! You can tell the owners take pride in providing a great experience! We can’t give this place enough praises and we will definitely be back this year! Thank you to the owners for giving us such a memorable experience!

Loved our stay at Baker Rocks. It was the perfect choose your own camping adventure. They had everything from cleared sites to A frame chalets and an impressive collection of sites in between. We opted for the Double Bell which was immediately dubbed the Quidditch World Cup Tent because it was bigger than it looked on the inside. It's weird to comment on the aesthetic of a camp ground but I loved it. Everything was so well thought out and pretty. We loved how our site was shady and tucked away from the others but were already plotting coming back with another family and thinking about the group of 3 tents below the double. We also brought our slack line kit and there was a great grouping of trees for it.Playground: Trampoline (especially in ground ones) are a big hit.Restrooms: The restrooms were so wonderful. Camp restrooms can be akin to rest stops in ick and these were clean and always had toilet paper and soap. The showers made everyone feel a little more human and a little less permethrin mid-stay as well. ;)Dog-friendliness: We had our pup and we saw a couple of others but it was seamless. No drama, no issues. Our site had plenty of space for our tie down while we were lounging. I think the tie down is 30ft?-- and we brought her small crate to make sure there was room for it in the tent and she could have had her own full size bed there was so much room between our two beds.Picnic area: What a great option to have a bigger area to eat and also a place for adults to hang while playing corn hole or lounging while the kids are at the playground area (but far enough away that you both get freedom)

Baker Rocks is such a lovely gem in New Hampshire. Everything you need is within reach, but it's still full of that natural charm. The owners obviously take care of their guests and property, making it a worry-free and fun experience. They are very responsive and helpful. They have the cutest animals, easily accessible facilities, and all the extras! This place is perfect for new or experienced campers. There's also a brewery down the street with great food and a big Walmart within a 10 minute drive for last minute supplies. The Pine Grove campsite was nestled away in trees, which made it feel like we were in our own little world! We would definitely return -- maybe to try out the beautiful "glamping" structures around the camp.

We stayed at river run and had it full of tents. We absolutely loved the grounds and it was close to the polar caves. Be sure to leave plenty of time for the river as it was a beautiful spot to relax all day. The kids loved all of the activities and friendly open environment. AJ and Amanda were nothing but welcoming to their amazing property. Thank you!

Great camp ground! This was our second time visiting and I can’t say enough about how wonderful it is here. Love love love how dog friendly it is this past stay I’m pretty sure every person had a dog with them. We went up a day late to avoid setting up the tent in the rain and they were so accommodating of that fact. The river is awesome it’s our golden retrievers favorite spot. We’ll definitely be visiting again and again and I tell everyone I know about this spot! I’ve only seen one bad review from someone complaining about ticks and I just want to say if you’re not expecting critters and bugs on a camping trip you probably shouldn’t go camping!

Was looking for a getaway that was dog friendly. Bakers Rock did not disappoint. Beautiful views and beautiful property. You can tell that the owners give it their all to make this property an enjoyable place. Every building on the property is absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back!

Beautiful piece of land and place to get out and experience nature in Rumney, NH! Only complaint was lots of mosquitos, but we were camping after all, and they even sell natural mosquito repellent in their adorable little camp store! The owners (and their two kids!) are very friendly & accommodating! Would highly recommend & hope to go back! Their bathrooms & showers are also very clean, which is a plus when camping ;) And our 3 boys loved “old McDonald’s farm” as our 2 year old called it 😆

Had a fantastic stay with our kids at the River Run site, but all the accommodations looked inviting. Such a great spot. Hosts are exceptionally welcoming and the property is beautiful and well-maintained. Kids loved playing in the river, meeting all the animals, playing on the trampoline, and hiking some great local trails (Rattlesnake Mountain and Stinson Mountain). Solid brewery just down the road too. We’ll definitely be back.

If you’re sifting through reviews trying to decide where to stay BOOK NOW. You won’t be disappointed. It doesn’t matter if it’s one of the cabins or rustic sites every one of them is so well maintained yet feels secluded. The showers are better than many hotels I’ve stayed in and the setting in the mountains is absolutely lovely.Definitely check out the farm animals. There are pigs goats and bunnies (which WARNING some are for sale and you’ll want to take them home)And can we talk about the River? It’s amazing, before I went I was a bit hesitant because I hadn’t seen many pictures or reviews about baker River but it’s amazing. Sandy bottom, fun to float on and deep enough to swim. There’s two beaches on site that give you about a 20 minute float and if your looking for something longer talk to Amanda and she’ll help you find a longer run.Anyways 10 out of 10. Best campground in New England

Amanda and AJ have really created a wonderful natural space sprawling over 70+ acres with some unique amenities not commonly found.I came here to get away from it all, camp on the river bank in peace, swim in the crystal waters, and hike some moderate peaks with my pup….these are all things that the Baker Rocks property delivers exceptionally. What I really needed without knowing though, was connection (to the earth, to myself, to friendship); indeed these were found here. AJ, Amanda and their two sons very organically made me (a stranger) feel a part of the place and a part of their lives when I wasn’t expecting it.I am grateful for the friendship and for the fabulous place they are stewarding. I can’t wait to go back…might go nuts and rent one of the luxury Yurts :)Much love to you four!

This is a great family friendly & low key campground. In all my years of camping I’ve never seen a place quite like it. I couldn’t believe how private most of the sites were.We stayed in Pine Grove, and our 9x14 tent fit on the platform (about 10x15ft). Trees were perfectly spaced apart for things like a clothesline. The space was huge and well cleared, so our child had plenty of room to play. Most of the sites, while private and tucked away, circle a wildflower field where the bathhouse is (plenty of separate toilet/sink & shower stalls with surprising amount of privacy, large sink outside, and always enough hot water).Of note, other fave sites we saw: Tipi (in view from pine grove) is shaded and has an INCREDIBLE view of river & hills, River Run is a beautiful, big sandy bare site overlooking the river/hills (w a little bit of shade), & Double Bell is a gorgeous & massive shaded glamping site (a 5ft or so slight slope leads down from parking). Photos don’t quite do these sites justice. The river is wonderful, and while the landscape changes due to the nature of such a river, the beach was huge and there were plenty of shallow areas for kiddos to enjoy supervised play. We spent most of a day playing, tubing, picnicking, and relaxing at the river. There were beach toys & chairs, and because of the limited amount of sites we always had tons of space to ourselves. It’s a bonus that there are farm animals and a playground. This campground felt very safe and well run, and the owners were super responsive to my questions before booking. We didn’t see a single tick, but due to all the recent rain mosquitos were very active (obv, it is a river area) so don’t forget the bug spray. This place has accommodations for everyone, whether shaded forest, open views/stargazing, or a small house w hot tub, and would make a great meet up spot for families/friends with different vaca comfort zones.

The coolest place to camp. So many great details in place and so peaceful. My family and I stayed in the yurt and absolutely loved it. My kids were tech free for over 24hrs and had the time of their lives building and exploring nature. We will definitely be back!!

When it comes to an event space, Baker Rocks is definitely a hidden gem. We had our wedding there at the end of September and everything was BEYOND our expectations. We had been looking at wedding venues for a while and everywhere else in this part of New Hampshire was ridiculously expensive and did not offer much space for the event or for on-site lodging. Baker Rocks excelled over the competition and we booked the whole campground for the weekend at an extremely fair price. My wife and her MOH stumbled upon this venue by happenstance and immediately fell in love with the location. The campground is very spacious and is surrounded by trees, hills, and a river. The whole venue has a wonderful “getaway camping trip” sort of vibe to it. It feels open in the areas you need it to yet also manages to feel very secluded. It’s far enough away from the highway that you don’t hear vehicles so the whole campground is wonderfully hushed. The grounds are well maintained and the lodging spaces were very cozy, clean, and peaceful. The outdoor event space was beautiful with plenty of room to host our reception. The reception/outdoor event area has a concrete pad with an overhang, a pergola, and a fire pit. There are solid-frame cabins, yurts, tents, and campsite spaces. The solid-frame structures have complete bathrooms and kitchens inside while the tent site area has a bathhouse building with showers and stalls. We booked the whole campground for the weekend and had plenty of room to accommodate our bridal party. Every shelter had a comfortable bed, heat, and lights. The owners were also very accommodating to our event ideas. There was plenty of room for us to set up an outdoor ceremony separate from the reception area. A lot of the campground has permanent sites but we were still able to move a couple things around (such as picnic tables, the outdoor couches, etc.) when it came to the reception/outdoor event area. They were also able and willing to provide power for our freezer/lights and had solar-powered lights at all sites, too. Plus, there were good speakers at the outdoor event area that we were able to use! And if you need to get a workout in, there is an enclosed gym on site for fitness.Overall, the campground very welcoming, aesthetically pleasing, and fairly priced. However, the owners are what really set this venue apart from all the others. We were the first wedding that they have hosted and they were more than reasonable while working with our requests and accommodations. You won’t find a nicer or more helpful set of owners at an event site. I cannot recommend this location enough if you’re looking to host a wedding or big event! It’s well worth a consultation with the owners to see if Baker Rocks is the perfect location for your next getaway or event. It was for us!

The tent we stayed in was absolutely amazing! The owner was super kind! At bakers rocks there was a river that people staying at were allowed to use and she has things for kids to play on like a trampoline, sand pit, and mini jungle gym and but the tent where we stayed there was a volley ball net and ball which people were allowed to use! Over all me and my family had a great stay and I could not recommend it more than I already am

We came across Baker Rocks while looking for a place to camp that was drivable to Mt. Washington. As soon as we got there, we met Amanda, who was so attentive and sweet. We spent some time in the river, exploring the garden, and visited the animals. Our campsite was set up with a platform for our tent, a fire ring, adirondack chairs, a picnic table, and solar lights. We were able to drive 1.5 hours to Mt. Washington the next day for some hiking and sightseeing. We had such an amazing time, we didn’t want to leave! 10/10 recommend and would love to visit again sometime!

We loved our stay at Baker Rocks!! The owners are super inviting and the property is very well maintained with special touches to give it an elevated feel. Our campsite had a great vibe to it and we loved visiting the animals and the river/beach. Hope to come back and enjoy one of the units with a hot tub!

Best camping experience we've had to date. We had a tent site right at the water. It was beautiful, peaceful and very private. Very nice hosts also. Extremely clean and very well kept camp sites.

Beautiful space and site - I had high hopes for Baker Rocks. Staff was very friendly upon arrival, all their facilities were new and clean and they add very nice touches to elevate their campsites. The reason I can only give this site two stars: Within the first two hours of being at our campsite (Pine Grove), we pulled roughly 20 ticks off of us and found a number of others on the picnic table and chairs. We believe there may have be a grouping of eggs (i.e. nest) that just hatched and we were the lucky ones to come upon it.I understand ticks are part of the outdoors and nests like this can happen. What was unfortunate was the way the site organizers choose to respond. We tried to contact them by calling to see about a different site (since it was after the noted office hours) and couldn't reach them that evening, so we ended up driving home, uncomfortable with camping at the site. They did reach out in the morning to say they had noticed we left and wanted to make sure everything was okay, but when we shared what happened we heard nothing for another 48 hours. The response that followed was combative, condescending and had no intention of creating any sort of resolution.Beautiful site with a lot of promise - I really wanted to love this place, but given the way our situation was handled, we won't be back.

We were looking for a quick getaway into the woods and we found so much more! We tent camped and it was an amazing site because we weren’t on top of other people but still had the benefits of communal bathrooms, etc. Amanda and AJ have added so many small details to make the space feel like home including solar powered string lights. We also thoroughly enjoyed the easy access to the river beach and walking trails. All of the views were incredible. I can’t wait to go back and see how they continue to grow over time. It is a truly special place!

As a female solo-traveler, Baker Rocks was exactly the right environment to be surrounded by nature while still feeling safely tethered to other people. Amanda, AJ, and Kat were wonderful hosts, and offered a nice balance of community and privacy. They checked in and made sure I had everything I needed, but also left me enough room to wander privately. Waking up between the White Mountains and windmills and falling asleep to the crickets and fireflies was the most restorative thing I've experienced in a long time. I will definitely be back."

Amanda and AJ are exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure my visit was enjoyable. I stayed in the Awkaabe cabin, and it was such a unique and comfortable experience. The property is amazing...beautiful views of Rattlesnake Mtn., hiking trails and river swimming (my dog loved this the most)! We even got to see a black bear scampering through the woods. Book a stay...you'll thank yourself!

We absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to go back! I wanted an escape with my 2 boys to connect, enjoy the mountains and be one with nature. We got all that and more! The Northstar Dome is so well done & had all we needed plus was extremely comfortable. The boys explored the river, the green space and we ended our days with a fire. It was quite, well thought out and clean. We can’t wait to go back!!
