I love this place because of the chill environment, the huge selection of fish and the kindness of the staff. There’s a small selection of birds (Cockatiel $475), lizards and small rodents (hamsters, mice, etc.) but I didn’t get any photos, sorry! I wasn’t inclined to photograph until we got to the impressive collection of fish. There’s a really large selection of marine creatures from bettas to tetras to frogs and lobsters! There are fish that glow (or fluoresce if we’re being technical) and fish as big as my hand! There was a blue lobster, a red lobster and a white one (my son’s personal favorite).Also, the staff seems friendly and knowledgeable about their creatures. I got to hear one staff member talking to a little girl about what fish could go in her ten gallon tank and which could not.Overall, it was once again pleasant to visit the pet store and we will be back again! Hope the photos do it justice!

We brought our new puppy down to check out the store. Everything about the place is a home run. From the friendly greetings offered by the helpful staff to the scope of their selection of top notch pet necessities, supplies and toys. They've got it covered and then some.The person assisting us was quick to inform us that Plymouth Pet offers new pet owners an initial welcoming gift where as a customer you're invited to select from a vast array of good stuff to get you started. 100% customer choice from the various categories in stock. We received 80 dollars worth of items that we picked out. No catch. An honest to goodness gift. In 2024.We've been back and we will continue to support this small, but outstanding, business.Great job.

Super cool store but I don't feel like the employees took me seriously. I saw them talking to other customers but they seemed to ignore me. Maybe they were just having a off day? Who knows? I'll definitely go back anyway.

okay so i love this place, i have been shopping there for a little over a year now. they are a wonderful staff and very helpful when it comes to finding what you need and then some! HOWEVER... my concern is that they have animals available that sit waiting for a lot longer than is reasonable. again, i have given them my business for at least a year now, and yesterday, i was there doing my usual shopping and noticed that their Tarantulas had been there for a really long time (the whole year). every other pet store is in a high demand area for Ts and don't have them long. i asked the cashier why if they were not in high demand, they had them at all. and she didn't have an answer. i called today to talk to the manager and after telling him all of the things wrong with how the Tarantulas have been kept for the past year, he hung up on me. there is NOBODY at the store that owns them themselves, whereas i have 4! i was simply trying to help them and the manager pretty much blew me off and said that his supplier knew best. this whole situation is utterly absurd! if the animal doesn't sell, pass it along to a different pet store. rant over.Update 1/23/2022Today I went back in to check on the tarantulas to see if the Manager took anything away from the chat we had over the phone. I walked in and asked to speak to them again after seeing nothing had changed and as soon as I made it known that I was the one who called, the owner/manager went OFF on me. I kept my cool as he told me to "get the f#@$ out of his store and never to come back! " The manager was very aggressive with me and I kept asking "sir, why are you yelling at me? I am trying to help you."

Went in yesterday with my mom to get my son a fish ended up getting a betta fish out first fish .. while the person that helped us had some knowledge he didn’t mention about them having heaters and filters for our betta or that we needed water conditioner.. spoke to Abby she was very nice and helpful.. hoping our betta fishy has a long and happy life ..

I like to get my mealworms here when I'm in the area. They have good quality mealworms for a fair price. Don't recommend if you get triggered by live display animals and reptiles in cages and small enclosures. I'm sensitive to that, but they aren't as bad as the chain stores. As a plus they have stuff for nearly all types of animals. They have super cute cat toys! (:

Great people, quality products and great prices. The salt water department is incredible. With all of the big box Pet stores coming into the area this is one of the last local shops. They have survived and flourished because of excellent knowledgeable owners and staff.

I’ve been going to this store for years and always really enjoyed it and almost always bought something when I came down. However this last visit I was extremely sad to see their whole salt water section is torn down. Replaced with more freshwater tanks. Unfortunately not too many live plants for sale either. I will most likely not be back for some time as the saltwater section was my biggest draw to this store and I have a far drive here. I hope next time I am in the area maybe they will have something for me.

A Dirty Business!This shop keeps selling aquarium plants that are infected with snails without a a word of warning to its customers.My brand-new aquarium was overrun by snails (caught more than 40 so far). When I called them, they casually acknowledged they knew about this problem. Not even an apology but a suggestion to come back and buy snail-eating fish from them.That’s a dirty business model.

I recently adopted a cat and went to Plymouth pet and aquarium for supplies. Not only did they have everything I needed, one of the girls also knew the cat I was adopting! She said she was asked to foster but unfortunately didn’t have the space for her and immediately jumped in and started helping me with everything I needed. It was very clear that she and the rest of the staff really care about you and your animals experience with their products! Huge thank you to the ladies for helping me out and easing my nerves as a first time cat owner!

Manager has an absolutely disgusting and despicable attitude and has no place running a store. Very rude and aggressive towards people offering suggestions of how to take better care of their animals. Cusses and yells at customers without provocation just because they try to help, even when the customers do so in a calm manner.Update in response to the response from the owner:I am not the person who originally made the complaint. This is my first review for this store. However, I do know for a fact that the manager did NOT "try to be polite", and that this was not the only instance where he flew off the handle at a customer who was only trying to help. He has a history of a bad attitude towards customers.

Some things are much more expensive than other places, and years ago I had a few experiences with the owner of the store being extremely rude to myself and others, which has made me avoid going there for probably 10 years or so. However, I have gone in a few times in the last year, and the staff are super friendly, helpful and considerate. I would prefer to go there and support a local business, than go to Walmart.

Overall a good selection and fair prices. Helpful and friendly staff. But the sales associate who tried to give us advice on hedgehogs was just wrong about some things, so don't believe them. They don't have hedgehogs there so they don't really know much about them. She was essentially trying to convince us not to get a hedgehog (I assume because this store doesn't have them) and gave me BAD information on what they should eat. Otherwise, good store.

I first called Plymouth Pet and Aquarium yesterday looking for my kitties cat food that I can't get anywhere. The lady I talked with told me that they didn't have the flavor I wanted, but said she was happy to show me other brands that may be similar. Drove there this morning and the girl helped me find similar foods that their regulars like, and it was a hit for my kitty. Everyone is SUPER helpful and friendly. Love the store!

This is a great pet store that is locally run has pretty much all the supplies you may need for most any small tax from big dogs to tiny rodents. These guys can help you out. They have a great selection of Tories and accessories that are locally sourced even snacks made in the state. I would highly recommend going here to get a real personal touch

This is a great family owned pet store. We have made this our regular pet store as we live close by. I was in the market for some new fish and they were very knowledgeable about what was needed for each type of fish. I was given a couple of care sheets which is always helpful and once my hands were full of merchandise, an associate brought them to the counter for me. Overall, always a great experience!

Great service! They didn't have my prescription dog food, but warned me it may not actually be all it's cracked up to be. I brought in the bag, and the awesome girl who helped me clearly and concisely laid out why this was complete junk, and then showed me a vastly superior and even more affordable product! My dog mowed down the food and is happy, and I've got a spare $20!Dig the knowledge of the staff there for sure!

Loved this place. Definitely the perfect example of a small family run petstore that works really hard to earn honest business and does a world of good in the community. The store is pretty spacious, especially the aquatic section. They have probably one of the largest selections I've seen in a smaller store. It is very well kept and clean, and the owners and employees are super friendly and helpful. I bought a green spotted puffer and some female mollies, although if I had stayed any longer I would've likely walked out with much more. The prices are fair and about average, the fish were healthy and active and the display tanks although a little over stocked are kept nice and clean. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is into fish or pets in general!
