Great setup, scenery, and kind hospitality, as always! Steve was such a cool dude and a complete life saver. Joel cares so much about guest experience and went out of his way to tow our sleds to good trails so we could enjoy what snow was in the ground. We've been coming for years, and there is truly no other place that has was Lopstick does. Thank you!!

I first stayed at Lopstick in early 2000's under previous owners and just fell in love with the area. I've stayed at Lopstick last few years in Sept and the current owners have done a fantastic job at updating the cabins. The cabins on arrival are spotless and just have that warm/inviting feel to them. Excellent spot to be near great places to eat (1840/Full Send) or do your own cooking with everything needed at your cabin (including gas grill), get any provisions needed at Young's down the road along with easy access to all the CT lakes and everything else the area has to offer. Highly recommended!

We love it here. Many rooms and cabins to choose from. We have our favorite but might try others in the future. Rooms are clean, affordable , and perfect for a night or a week or more.We find this a perfect spot to hike, bike, kayak and just sit and read a book by the lake. Most cabins are located near all the trails for your ATV and/or snowmobile. Lots of people fishing here too pur neighbor caught bass and rainbow trout today.

We enjoyed Lopstick, especially the people and the country around it. Folks in the fly shop are super, friendly and helpful. The office team were very nice and well organized. The cabin is a good value. Our disappointment was the number of fisherman around - it seems like the arrival of hatchery trucks triggers a surge of visitors. Walk 200 yards from the river access points and find more solitude.Rooms: The cabins are basic, but clean and functional. Nearly new sink, strong shower with lots of hot water. Kitchen is modestly equipped but everything works.Nearby activities: The big draw here is fishing on the river and lakes. We were early in the season so fishing was tough but there's a lot of stocking done here. Hiking, snowmobiles, ATV riding: many choices in pretty countrySafety: Biggest risk here might be driving off the road while looking at the views. You do need to be watchful for moose in the dark. Useful to have a staff when wading the river.Noteworthy details: There are beautiful views all around with pretty valleys and rounded old peaks.

I just spent the weekend at Lopstick. I have been up there 4 or 5 times in the last few years. When I first went there the cabin we were in was great. That was 7 yrs. ago. It seems every time I go there now the cabin I get is in need of repairs. Whether it's a bathroom door that you have to fight to get open or a drawer that literally falls apart when you try to open it, or a cabin that has screens missing or screens torn down one side. I have always enjoyed going up to Pittsburgh and looked forward to staying at Lopstick, but the place is definitley getting run down and no repairs seem to be happening. I like the employess there as you couldn't find a friendlier more helpful group but for the price I pay for a weekend I'm thinking there might be other places that are better maintained.

Super cozy cabins, the scenery and fishing were world class, but above all else, the people that work here shone the brightest. In and around the fly shop and main office the staff were unbelievably welcoming and helpful. On the water, our guide Chuck was the most knowledgable, thoughtful, and patient guy (even after I kept getting his lines all "duffed up"). The folks here are really passionate about what they do and I'd recommend this place to anybody who is looking for the outdoor experience of a lifetime.

Great cabins and wake up to beautiful views across 1st lake and the mountains beyond. We were able to snowmobile right from the cabins, the accommodations and staff are wonderful. The pups enjoyed their first trip to Pittsburg too, thank you!

This is our fourth year staying at Lopstick. We are more impressed with our stay each time. It seems there are updates and improvements every time we visit. This year, we stayed in “The Bunk House”. It was so warm and cozy. There are two bedrooms, each with bunks and a full size bed. It was very clean and had all of the necessities you need to make the stay enjoyable. We had a lovely view of First Connecticut Lake for the porch. There is plenty to do in the area no matter what season you visit. We come in January because there is a statue on their property in honor of my late husband. You can visit it at the end of a beautiful snowshoe loop that begins near the main office. However, this place is amazing anytime of the year! We are already trying to pick a time to come back in the spring and summer. Thank you to the owner, Roderick, and the entire staff for welcoming us here and always being responsive and helpful. It has helped us turn a difficult day of the year into a chance to make memories together.

Stayed at Rivers edge, absolutely gorgeous, can't say enough. we also stayed at a different cabin last year, can't remember what one but was also very nice. But rivers edge is right on the river, secluded and amazing. Cabin has a nice loft that sleeps 3 and a main bedroom on the 1st floor with a walkout deck right on the river.

My husband, children and I went last summer and loved it. We stayed a full week in the Bunk house cabins. It's rustic, charming and cozy. There is so much to do close by too. There is a beautiful lake just a walk from the cabins, a pond to fish at or just watch the ducks. The cabins have fire pits so you can chill and enjoy the beautiful starry night or roast some marshmallows. Nearby are waterfalls, great restaurants, and several lakes to visit. We even climbed mount Magalloway! We are visiting again the last week of June and can hardly wait!

We stayed at the blackberry winter cabin on first Connecticut lake for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and the view from the porch was amazing (see photos). Very private, and when sitting on the porch you can't see any other cabins nearby. Fire pit by the beach is a great spot to sit, and beach is great for kids and swimming as it's very gradual entry. Will definitely be back

Well it's really a great experience!!-Every aspect of our weekend was made better by the friendly staff from having a clean cabin to lighting fireworks on the fourth of July... A get away that has great views of the lake and bring your water shoes because the cool clean water to go swimming is a kind of Rocky bottom but so worth it!!! We loved it

Didn't stay at the property but rented a side by side for a half day. Made me and my sons vacation. Marketing manager was fun, personal and engaging. I will make it a point the next time I vacation here to book with this property because of the marketing manager.

My family has been staying at Lopstick for years. Our experience is beyond expectations every time we have stayed. The cabins are always clean, neat and free of odor. It's in a quiet and quaint location close to several lakes. Also very close to ATV trails which is the main reason for our visit. Service is always great and we love staying here.

This cabin was the ultimate in glamping. Every nook and cranny was decorated with woodsy decor. All the furniture looked handcrafted. We saw a moose, turkeys and possibly a mink. Family caught lots of fish and grilled them at night. The full moon and sounds of loons was a great way to fall asleep. The beds were really comfortable and plenty of towels and linens available. It was like a home away from home. Will 100% come back again. What a gem!

The original lodge is great but we stayed in the Blue Wing cabin on Back Lake which is not far away. We've had a number of stays at Lopstick Cabins over many years and had a fantastic time. We had a fantastic time this year though we were disappointed in the shabbiness of the cabin. It was very clean but the back door was broken and no screen so we couldn't get any cross breeze. The front window screen had a hole in it and with only 2 fans to move air it was a but stuffy. Repairs were pretty poorly done and there was no direction on how to use some things - TV (we didn't really watch as we were out fishing), directions about using wood in the fireplace were confusing because it was a gas fireplace, only one burner worked on the stove and staff didn't seem to know much at the office. I must say we didn't comment to the staff about the issues as we first asked out some places to fish and didn't get an enthusiastic response. We reserved a slot at the dock on Back Lake but Im not sure the other cabins were aware the dock area was for everyone as they didn't care for us being there. We felt the rental was a little pricey considering how run down the cabin was. We were told Lopstick changed hands which might explain things if that's true. I can say on our previous visits Lopstick always had the absolute best customer service and lodgings. We'll go back to the area again but might try a different cabin at Lopstick or a different place altogether. Also, the cabin was pet friendly, even though we didn't have any with us, so we weren't expecting pristine accommodations.** Lopstick reached out to us and offered to refund our cabin rental for our stay. I will stress that we never wanted or expected a refund as we enjoyed our time there. The owners said they want to make sure any one that stays at their cabins are completely happy and hoped we would return for another stay. We really did enjoy ourselves this last visit and are looking to return and give Lopstick another go. We greatly appreciate that Lopstick reached out to us and we encourage you to go stay at Lopstick. They have a number of cabins in several locations around Pittsburg NH with great fishing, ATV and snowmobile access.
