Worst store ever. It's gross and there is always at least 5 or 6 carts of stuff blocking the isles so you can't look at anything. Everyone who works there is always outside smoking. And then they gat an attitude when you need help with anything. Never going there again

The staff are always very nice but overwhelmed. Boxes fill the isles so shopping at times can be very difficult. Not the staffs doing. They try to replenish the goods but it's not easy to do while waiting on customers. This store is the best of the best when it comes to the staff !! It would be nice if they could hire help during the night .

Always friendly staff. Seems like employees are expected to everywhere inside the store at the same time and watch the front. Many items are expired some have been expired for years - make sure you check the labels! Trying to pull from the back of the shelf results in expired items from even further back in time, indicating items are not stocked in a first in first out manner... Likely due to understaffing...

I'm absolutely amazed of the amount and type of items and products at the store sales. I visited a Dollar General in Lake George New York a few weekends ago and I actually found two Delmonico steaks lol they were a dollar 79 a piece and they looked fresh, I would never consider buying any piece of steak from a dollar store but I took the chance anyway and believe it or not they were absolutely incredible oh, I never seen Another Dollar General to sell steaks the store should consider the same. Anyway what I do notice in just about every Dollar General is that they stock a lot of product and just about anything you're looking for you will find it there unfortunately you may need to spend two hours trying to find it in there because they don't have very good organization and I notice in every store that things are jammed in where they don't belong, at has and reminds me much of a rummage sale or flea market layout. Otherwise good friendly staff and overall great place to shop.

I am always surprised and pleased at how proud the Dollar General people are of their store. But they usually build them in under-served areas that need a place to buy food cheaply, or there's no working-man's commissary for a quick lunch. They serve their purpose.

Good selection. Good prices. Pretty nice staff. They close early sometimes. Usually, the doors are locked 10 mins before they're scheduled to close. So, if you're running late it's probably best to call real quick to make sure they haven't locked up yet. The hours used to be they were open until 10pm, now it's 9pm everyday.

This store is very well put together. I was so happy that they had put a dollar general in Peterborough. I love, love, love this store! And the fact that it's in my town and I don't have to go to surrounding towns for the awesome deals is wonderful and very convenient!!

I always love going to the DG in Swansey. But due to where I was that day gave the Peterborough DG a shot. It was fabulous! Found exactly all on my list. And the check out young man that day was friendly engaging in conversation, Oh n by the by, I left my pocket book on the counter n he let me know before leaving the store! God bless him.✝️ We need more honest people like him these days. What a doll! 😊

I loved going to this store, when it first opened. Now, it's just soooo cluttered you can't even push a cart down the aisles. No matter what day of the week or time it's always the same.

For one thing they gave quite a selection, first a small store. And you usually don't have to go to the city, to find one. They have branches in lots if small towns. Also there prices are very affordable.

Go here for everything. In store in jaffrey they are the worst. The jaffrey store is run very pooly. Coolers always broken never ever go there. The one in Peterborough a lot better. store cleaner and better stuff.

It was great when it opened but lately they have been short staffed and in disarray with stock everywhere and not on the shelves. Hopefully they will get the help they need.
