I have been wanting to try this incredible looking Irish Pub since I first drove by it over a year ago, and decided to go in tonight while visiting my sister in nearby Jaffrey. Having grown up in and around some of the finer Irish pubs in NY in my younger days, and enjoying both great food and good friends in Ireland itself, the bar (pun intended) was set pretty high for Coopershill. This place is among the best! Incredible service by Madison, truly wonderful homemade from-scratch fare, beautiful and spotlessly clean interior (and kitchen from a quick peek), and affordable too. I had the fish & chips, which was the best ive had anywhere in the world, and my sister had a special mac and cheese with pulled pork. We started with a house specialty, beet salad... all incredible. Highly recommended!

I’ve eaten here about a dozen times. Usually, it is very good food and service. We even brought 15 family members here for Thanksgiving dinner the year before Covid because we liked it so much. Once, they served my brother a shepherd’s pie that was cold in the middle, but that was the only issue before tonight.Tonight, we had major problems! My wife ordered a cocktail and when it was delivered, I ordered a beer and we also ordered our food (just fish & chips and a brisket sandwich). We waited 45 min and noticed that a table that was seated 15 min after us was given main courses. Then the table next to us was served an app and then their main courses after less than 20 min waiting, while we were now waiting for over an hour. Our waitress had not visited us since she took the order and so I got up and waived her down. “All the people who came in after us are eating after waiting 20 to 30 minutes, but we are now waiting for over an hour”, I explained. “I haven’t even got my beer and you haven’t come to check on us”.She responded, “The kitchen is just really busy tonight. I’ll go check on your food. Where are you sitting?”. She didn’t even remember us!10 minutes later, she came over with no beer.. “They are just so busy in there and they are in terrible moods.”“And where is our food?”“Well, they must have lost your ticket.”Before submitting our order again, I realized that she never apologized and she only blamed the kitchen even though she never checked the order for us and never even brought my beer. Totally out of the ordinary for me, I was quite upset and said “We are not going to wait any longer. We are leaving.”Our waitress then apologized. She lied and said she was the only server, but the table served quickly next to us was handled by another lady.My wife said, “You should comp my drink for all these problems.” She left without response and returned with a bill for the drink! I gave her my card and when she came back for signature, my wife again said “The least you could do is not charge us for that drink”.She agreed and just walked away, so we just left. What a disappointment! I’ve never had a restaurant lose my order and would have expected a manager to come out and apologize, offer free desserts or some gesture that acknowledges the total screw-up.I cannot go back there anymore. It was just so bad and I don’t want to see that waitress ever again.

Was in town visiting a business partner and we originally were going to another restaurant nearby. I count myself fortunate that a major spring storm shut that other place down early, because if it hadn't I would have missed out on the best Irish gastropub in the area.Hands down, a Dublin feel with takes on both Irish and American classics. Great selection of beers and ales, and of course, whisky.I will definitely be back to the Coopershill when I am back in the Peterborough area

An interesting place for a meal and a drink. Good selection of food and beers. Also, a very large selection of whiskies which would take forever to sample each one. Service was good and reasonable parking close by.

Stopped by for late lunch. Food was ok, my friend was delighted that her salad was good. I realized since it was an Irish bar I could get an Irish coffee I had been craving. The Irish coffee was good but it was lukewarm. I did not return it but just drank it. Not sure if the waitress took too long to pick it up.Also, the glass of water that they served was almost undrinkable. I live in Peterborough and the tap water is very good, with no after taste. The tap water they served at the restaurant had a horrible odor and taste of chlorine. Very strange.Next time I’ll be making Irish coffee at home. I bought a bottle of Jameson which cost just a bit more than two Irish coffees at Coopershill.

This is a fantastic place! A proper Irish bar experience in Peterborough NH.Bright and roomy, a very comfortable atmosphere. I went on a Thursday at 5PM and there was a talented musician playing a selection of Irish music. It was perfect, and added to the authentic atmosphere considerably. The Guinness Stew is the best I've ever had. Absolutely delicious, with a generous slab of soda bread accompanying it. Outstanding. The Mac and cheese was also amazing. Love that it has bacon and peas. Yummy! The fish and chips was great also. A very generous portion, and not too heavy on the batter. It was a very nice piece of cod, just as it should be.Most remarkable of all...the whiskey selection. When you ask for the list, and it's a thick, leather-bound book, any whiskey enthusiast will surely feel the same excitement as I did. It's a very well curated list with a broad selection in every category. It's truly remarkable. On top of all these fabulous things, the service was excellent and the price was extraordinarily reasonable. This is a treasure, and I'm eager to return.Kudos!

Our server, AJ, was very helpful when it came to learning about the Whiskey flights. The chips with curry and the mac and cheese were delicious.I would not ever order a burger again though. The beef had little to no flavor.I will go back.

Every time I visit Coopershill, and it is an absolutely exceptional experience deserving of a solid 5 stars. The service is always impeccable - the staff is attentive, friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy ambiance that set the perfect mood for a memorable evening. However, it's the food that truly steals the show. Each dish is an absolute masterpiece, the perfect blend of class and Irish comfort food. Kyle and the staff at Coopershill have undoubtedly earned their place as a top-notch dining destination in our town of Peterborough. Great work!

I know it's out of the way, but wow, Cooper's is a hidden gem. First, the atmosphere is lovely. Plenty of seating, including some nice wingback chairs and couches. The whiskey selection is phenomenal. There's a wonderful range of domestic and imported whiskeys, many of which are rare to find. The whiskey flights are perfect for sampling and comparing. If straight whiskey isn't your game, boy oh boy do they make an impressive whiskey cocktail. The Smoke and Berries was amazing and had a beautiful smokey and fruity flavor. The food was also excellent. Between my friends and I we ordered the onion soup, Irish nachos, and hummus plate appetizers (amazing), and a burger and the shepherds pie for dinner. I love shepherds pie and it is SO hard to find a quality one (for reference, there is exactly one place in Boston that makes one I love), and this one was excellent.Definitely worth the trip. Everyone should go.
