This was a great experience. Kelly was super helpful, educating us about the proper care of hedgehogs and the pros and cons of certain equipment. She was patient with smaller children that had limited attention spans and brought out a bunch of hedgehogs for us to experience. There was no pressure what so ever, she clearly cares about the hedgehogs getting a good home above all. Highly recommended.

I have nothing but amazing things to say! I have had 3 wonderful babies from her. I live in Maine, she made sure that I followed Maine laws before she would sell, she was knowledgeable, funny, and even compassionate. My first hedgie died from a very rare disorder that could not be prevented, she messaged me the next day and offered me a rescue baby. I went to her home, and brought home a lovely little hedgie after that. If you want a hedgehog, want to ask questions and get to know everything first, this is the best place to go, hands down, in the New England area!! I got my baby Tiramisu from Kelly and I had a wonderful experience. It's been about 7 months ago (Tiramisu is now 10 months old) since I picked her up, and I've had no issues. The open houses are very informative, and Kelly makes sure owners are equipped with the right tools and knowledge before hedgehogs go home with them. The space for the hedgies was very clean and organized, they are well take care of. Definitely recommend Hamor Hollow if you're looking to learn about hedgies or take one home to become a new quilly family member :)

Wonderful breeder, very informative, and truly cares for each hedgehog individually. Very responsive to messages and always willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have. So sweet when we got our pinecone from her. Their place was immaculate and perfectly warm in the snowy weather. We traveled over 3 hours for our hedgehog and it was well worth the effort. She has the best temperament and the best health. Her vet was amazed by her. Thank you so much!!

We have got all of our hedgehogs from Kelly. She is very knowledgeable. Upon deciding if we wanted to get one and if we would have allergies, Kelly welcomed us to her home to meet some. She let us ask all the questions we had and didn't rush our time there. We asked a more local breeder to visit and were told she didn't do visits. Kelly makes sure that the owners know what they are getting into and are fully prepared to take care of her animals. Our first hedgehog lived to five years old and we ended up losing her to mouth cancer. We had a second one that had difficulty going to the bathroom the first week we had him. Kelly took him to care for him after we took him to the vet. She updated us regularly on his care and then we ended up getting one of her new babies so that we would have a healthy one. Kelly is always readily available to respond to any questions that come up. We are loving our current little girl and are glad we went with Hamor Hollow again.

I got my very first hedgehog from Kelly more than five years ago and have since also adopted a rescue from her. Kelly is the only reputable breeder I would recommend in New England. She really cares about the wellbeing of all hedgehogs, not just those from her own herd, and she's definitely offered a lifetime's worth of support. She pours her heart and soul into her business and I am lucky to have stumbled across her all those years ago. Highly highly recommend.

I purchased my first hedgehog from Hamor Hollow several years ago. Kelly was wonderful! She met with me after reviewing my application and let me meet several hoglets to find one whose personality I liked. One baby was acting strangely and even though I was interested in taking him, she didn't let me (like a responsible breeder.) I was able to find a little girl whose personality I liked and was able to take her home that day. I recently adopted a new hedgie and still only feed Hamor Hollow's food mix, it's much better than store-bought.

While I didn't end up getting a hedgehog, I enjoyed my visit to Hamor Hollow. It's located inside the owner's home and she's a very sweet lady with a very cute little dog! She was nice and informative and I had a great time playing with hedgehogs and figuring if they were right for me. If you want to visit a breeder, I highly recommend this one.

I've owned hedgehogs on and off since high school. My last hedgehog came from Hamor Hollow and was the FIRST hedgehog that ever stood up straight/tall, didn't cower, wasn't aggressive, etc. Kelly has the friendliest babies and you won't regret going to Hamor Hollow for yours!Kelly knows what she is doing, makes sure you know what you are doing, and is hands-down the best breeder around!When we are ready to get another hedgehog, we will definitely be going back to Hamor Hollow!

We got our hedgehog here three years ago. They made sure that we understood what was involved in taking care of her. Their first priority was the well-being of the animals. The home was clean and all the hedgehogs were in a large, clean room. Nothing was hidden. They gave us plenty of time to find the right one for us. Wonderful breeder with wonderful hedgehogs. I bought my hedgehog 3 years ago from her and he seemed happy and healthy. I just moved to a different state and so I brought him for a checkup with a new exotic veterinarian and he told me he was missing all of his bottom teeth. All I had been feeding him was her “blend” of food that she -made it seem like- provided all of the right nutrition for a proper hedgehog diet. The kibble is for DOGS AND CATS NOT HEDGEHOGS therefore it is far too large and hard for a hedgehog’s tiny teeth and can NOT provide a hedgehog it’s proper nutrition. She makes this blend, which may be very sufficient for a dog or cat, (minus the ferret food) however hedgehogs in the wild eat less fatty proteins such as insects and vegetation. It is absolutely my fault for not providing my animal with its proper nutrition and MY fault for trusting her- a breeder’s- opinion over a research-suggested diet. My exotic animal veterinarian told me feeding my hedgehog this diet causes inflammation of the digestive tract as well as the gums and majority of the time leads to MOUTH CANCER which may begin with a loss of teeth. Do your research on your animals. Get multiple EDUCATED opinions. Do not make my naive mistakes and provide the absolute best you can for these wonderful animals. And DO NOT buy that food!

I purchased a hedgehog from Hamor Hollow a few years back. I did my research, applied and drove up to pick my hedgie in person. Kelly was informative and I appreciated how seriously she takes her business and her animals. She will not give a hedgehog to casual pet owners. I also continued to buy food from her until my hedgehog passed away, as the food in pet stores is often inferior. My hedgie was sweet and social and lived a healthy life.

She was very knowledgeable about the breed, very helpful with suggestions for supplies, and it was clear that all of her animals were well cared for and loved. I recently adopted my first Hedgehog from Hamor Hollow Hedgehogs just last weekend. I was extremely nervous but they put my mind at ease with how knowledgeable they are and answered every question I had, as well as putting all my misconceptions to rest. I only have the best things to say about my experience with Hamor Hollow Hedgehogs. My best friend was visiting and is obsessed with hedgehogs but has never seen one in person or held them so, after finding Hamor Hollow Hedgehogs on Google, on a whim I reached out via Facebook message to see if it would be possible to schedule us going in to hold some. I was clear that we probably were not yet in the market to actually buy a hedgie and wasn't sure if that would make them not want to have us visit. But they responded nearly immediately and were happy to have us! We kept in touch over a few months, and continuously they were extremely responsive and flexible as our schedule for her visit changed. When the day came and we went for a sort of private open house to play with the hedgehogs, it was amazing! It was extremely well ventilated, we all wore masks, and there was plenty of hand sanitizer so we felt comfortable even during COVID. Playing with the hedgehogs was incredible! They let us hold them and talked to us answering our many questions for nearly an hour and a half. They were both incredibly kind, knowledgeable, personable, and funny. We learned so much and my friend had an unforgettable experience for her birthday. I cannot thank them or recommend them more!

I bought a hedgehog in 2007 from Kelly. She was wonderful and was very informative. Take note though, her babies only go to homes that will take proper care of them. The hedgehog I got lived to be 5.5, and was such a sweet girl.

Hamor Hollow Hedgehogs is amazing. You would be hard pressed to find a better breeder in the region, if not the country. They are knowledgeable, devoted, and truly care about the animals they breed.To begin, they thoroughly vet anyone hoping to get one of their hedgies. If you haven't done the research and don't seem ready for the big responsibility that is required in taking on any exotic animal.The area of their home where the hedgehogs reside has been totally dedicated to their care and is clean and we'll equipped. They have won awards for the quality hedgehogs they produce and you can see why! The open house visits are welcoming and informative.Now, on to the hedgies! The hedgehogs Hamor Hollow breeds are INCREDIBLY well bred. They are beautiful, very healthy, and incredibly good-tempered. My vet, the exotics specialist at the Boston MSPCA Angell said that my hedgie was one of the friendliest he's ever seen and that Hamor Hollow's hedgies always are a joy to care for.Now, for a truly amazing personal story. Shortly after I got Sylvia from Hamor Hollow, she managed to accidentally get her blanket wet in her water bowl and got cold. A cold hedgehog can mean a dead hedgehog. They begin to hibernate, and that's just what Sylvia did. It was almost 1am and I messaged Hamor Hollow on Facebook in a panic. They walked me through warming her up and followed up with us several times afterwards. Today, Sylvia is amazingly healthy and happy.If you want a hedgehog in New England, and you're ready for the responsibility, go to Hamor Hollow!

Couldn’t ask for a better hedgehog breeder. Her first priority is the health and happiness of the hedgies. She makes you filll our an extensive questionnaire to ensure you will be a knowledgeable owner. She also hosts learning sessions so you can gain familiarity with hedgies. Then she gives you a ton of support and expertise when you purchase your first baby. My little guy has already surpassed the life expectancy of hedgehogs in captivity and is still happy, healthy and such a sweetheart.

We got our Ada hedgie from here and it was all a great experience-she really vetted all applicants to make sure they were being adopted into knowledgeable homes, and offered so much advice. Bought our food for Ada here and our local vet said she was a very healthy hedgehog.
