I stayed at the Timber Lodge for the last Halloween weekend with my grown children and grandchildren. It was amazing. Had all the conveniences you could want including hot tub. The kids had a blast with the playground, indoor pool, Halloween contest and scavenger hunt. Of course the golf cart was a big hit as well. Going back for a week in July to experience the lake and summer. See you then !

Site 503Stayed 7/9 -7/13Pros: large campground on a beautiful lake. Large indoor and outdoor pools both with hot tubs. Cabana areas are first come, first serve. Nice beach area with paddleboard and kayak rentals. Snack bar with outside seating on the beach. Two nice playgrounds. Basketball, pickle ball, volleyball etc. Large jumping pillow. Large rec. center with daily crafts for a reasonable price. Bathhouse and laundry. Staff ( mostly teenagers) were polite and helpful when asked anything.Cons: most sites are seasonal as this is one of a very few campgrounds open year round in New Hampshire. Pools are only open 11-7 which was inconvenient. Signs saying 16 and up for hot tubs but they were always full of kids.Lacking signage so difficult to find things. Construction going on in various places including near the beach so need to be mindful of equipment driving up and down roads. Bathhouse and laundry were not clean. One bathroom was absolutely filthy but after two days I let the office know and they cleaned it. Golf cart we rented was horrible. Full of sand and trash. Doubt the outside had ever been washed. Had to wash windshield myself in order to see. Probably short staffed like everywhere these days. However there were usually 5 or 6 employees hanging out in the store and several in the rec center reading or on their phones. Maybe just better supervision? All in all, we had a pleasant stay. Lots for the kids to do. Don't use the bathhouse anyway. Would go again. Also be aware that they charged us extra for kids staying at our site. Had three kids and they charged $84 for two. Apparently only one kid per site is included in the original price.4 nights with golf cart rental was $707.00

WWS is a great campground located on one of the most beautiful lakes in NH, Lake Ossipee. The grounds are well maintained, staff is friendly and accommodating and the amenities meet the needs of the whole family, including the 4-legged ones! You can relax on the beach or by one of the 2 pool. Bring the kids to the playground or jumping pillow. Walk the dogs to the enclosed dog park or bring them to play on the dog beach. Always a lot of fun to be had at Westward Shores!

from the point of view of a seasonal camper, management is awful, no clue what they are doing. 11 families were not renewed and no reasons were given. I would camp here again under different management. the current manager is the 4th manager in 2 years. corporate will chew her up and spit her out and leave her for garbage like she did to us.

Westward Shores has something to offer everyone, young and old, active or not. With two human beaches and one dog beach plus an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, you can keep cool in the heat of the summer. There’s no shortage of things to do: Bingo, pottery, entertainment on Saturday nights, pickle ball, tennis, basketball, kayaking, wiffle ball, bouncing pillow, playgrounds, horse shoes, and lots more. Want to relax: sit by the lake and watch the loons and eagles. This is my happy place.

I can remember my husband telling me all about his childhood campground and me just expecting it to be no different than the rest. As transient campers, we visited Westward Shores in 2021. We instantly fell in love (yep, he was right!) and about two months later opted to purchase a seasonal. We love #lifeontheloop at WWS!Westward Shores is an amazing family friendly campground with an abundance of amenities— 2 playgrounds, 2 beaches, a dog beach/dog park, outdoor pool, indoor, pool, 2 hot tubs, indoor and outdoor pavilions, fabulous camp store and snack shack, and so many activities. Did I mention the boating scene on the lake is amazing? We love the live bands and shows on Saturdays and the food trucks that visit camp! We thought we’d be leaving camp more often but with all of the amenities and beauty of Ossipee Lake we rarely want to.Hobbs and Yankee Smokehouse are two restaurants close by and we love the convenience of a Hannaford right down the road!

I’ve been at WWS for a while now, I can tell you it is the best! It is a amazing campground for a peaceful, relaxing and super fun place. The park is huge and has tons of things to do and explore, so there's plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy nature with you friends and family. They have so many adventurous activities on the water for you, like kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boating. The lake is the best, you can boat, jet ski, and do many more things. The staff are the best and are always wanting to help out. The store down at the beach has many snack and drinks for your day out on the lake. The campground itself is very clean and well-maintained. Overall, I would definitely recommend WWS for anyone looking for a relaxing camping trip with a bunch fun activities thrown in all over the place.Christian Gianakakis.

WWS is a beautiful campground. WWS is a very well maintained community. The staff are friendly and accommodating, always going the extra mile to ensure guests have an excellent camping experience. The campground boasts numerous amenities, including a well equipped general store, clean washrooms and showers, and an inviting swimming pool, indoor and outdoor. There is also 2 playgrounds areas for the kids, a huge lake, jumpy pillow, and many activities for your kids and you to do.I appreciate the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of the campground, which provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of my stressful life. The nights were filled with the peaceful sounds of nature, including crickets chirping and owls hooting, and maybe a friendly bear or moose here and there. Staying out late by the bonfire is one of my favorite things to do with my friends and family.Overall, I highly recommend WWS for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable camping experience in ossipee, New Hampshire.John Gianakakis.

We love it here. Hardest decision is Lake or Pool. Kids love shooting hoops in the pool. I love relaxing on the lake and looking at the mountains. Snack shack has tasty food options. Camp store has some fill in items and camp swag. The weekly bands this year have been great. They do have activities that are free. Lazer tag/ceramics will cost you. We are seasonal campers. The new management this year is doing a great job!

NO WiFi!Lots a high points but some low too. Some lows:Cottage was new and yet needed some tlc.Cable box was kinda haphazardly installed. (photo) roku tv's aren't much good without wifi but the cable service was OK. You aren't here for TV. Tmoble cell service was also OK.The loft has matresses and is listed on the website as sleeping area but they have a sign which says it's not for sleeping. (see photo)The fridge door oddly opened into the smaller bedroom and not the kitchen. That's a silly 15 minute fix. If I had screwdrivers I would've done it for them. Front desk was always friendly but had to walk down there, they won't pickup the phone or return voicemail. Trash pickup seemed wonky they say put it at the "edge of the property" we thought that meant near the street but had to walk to desk to let them know we had trash out for 5 hours and now the critters were getting into it. Email ahead and ask - the barrel trains and many other things on the website only run on weekends which was a bummer because our kids were looking forward to them. Alot of the photos of the on the water trampolines are old, those things are gone but the on land jumping pillow was a decent replacement.Bring charcoal, all the store has is the presoaked in lighter fluid stuff. The food bar was OK. The other campers were honestly a mixed bag. Some were friendly, others pretty snooty. Not something mgmt can do anything about but your mileage will vary. Youre up north. The cottage key also has a key card for the street gate you can swipe in. Wasn't told until somebody else rolled up behind us at the gate and swiped theirs for us.Many highs:Our 4 and 2 year olds loved the beach, pools and playgrounds. The poolS (plural, one inside and one outside) were great fun. Both have hot tubs, inside one has bubbles (turn on at the wall). The beach was also great for youngsters."Peddle" boats were not the usual frustrating affair that paddle boats can be (much effort for little movement). We covered some distance before legs got tired. Go into the wind so if you get tired the wind brings you back part of the way.The giant jumping pillow was pretty cool too quite big. It seemed to inflate around 10am. Not sure when it shut off for the day.The area really is quite beautiful. Heard reports of a bear in the area but never saw. A chipmunk had a hole nearby and we watched him gathering up for winter. The two playgrounds were also in good repair and pretty big. Huge area with tons of sand to play in.There is a grocery store 15 min from the camp too so you can grab essentials there.

We had a fantastic week at Westward Shores! We stayed at the bear camp cottages on shore point and the accommodations were perfect. The cabins are cute and new. No internet but you are at a camp ground and on vacation so you dont need it! There is a DVD player so bring some movies or enjoy the cable TV. Came with a charcoal grill and the fire ring had a cooking grate as well. Each cottage gets a golf cart to ride around the grounds which provided us with fun just driving around. There is A LOT for kids to do here. Dont listen to the other reviews that say otherwise. Multiple play grounds, a bouncing bag, 2 beaches, fishing, laser tag, water obstacle course (which wasnt open due to covid) and lots of daily activities. The beaches were super clean and and not deep which was great for the kids. The staff was very friendly and very quick with any issues. The camp ground area can be a little noisy on the weekends but that didnt bother us one bit. It ensured us we were not the loud ones! We will be back next year for sure, thank you Westward Shores!

Hi! I know I have a random user but whatever. Ok so the rooms didn’t really seem clean I don’t know how well they clean them because everyday there was a new neighbor in like 2 seconds these cabins were tiny!! AC leaking and pool was nice overall. Good for kids and pets but I dont like sleeping in beds that don’t feel clean. Bring bug spray so many bugs.

This place was a mixed bag... First off, we were told that our site #534 was a pull thru site at the time of booking... nope! No pull thru sites in the park; not a big deal, but this was the reoccurring theme of subpar customer service through the weekend. The seasonal side of the campground looked really rough. Lots of old and visibly run down campers. The dust is out of control. I have read tons of comments about that and still nothing has been done. We stayed in the 500 section and it was nice, thankfully it was not in the older part of the park. The positives.... the lake! Hands down an amazing spot with beautiful scenery. I wish the wibit was out but with Covid its not feasible for the staff to maintain that type of equipment, but the lake was very enjoyable. The playgrounds, jumping pillow and pavilion were very nice. They have a very impressive pool complex coming online next year and that will be a great addition. Our site was massive and clean, no complaints there. The positives outweigh the negatives so we would probably go back once the pool complex is done. Again, its really a mixed bag experience.

Cottage was cute, slept 8 but tight quarters. Booked a lake view cottage but we were situated further back behind some other people - not quite on the water. Fire pit was kinda stuffed in the bushes. We were the only site without a hookup to charge our golf cart, but the neighboring family let us know we could call down to the office and they’d bring us the equipment to charge it (they had to do the same the day before). Maintenance arrived quickly and the issue was resolved. Got yelled at for going 6mph a few times by angry locals. Credit card machine was down at the Marina (everyone who worked there was extremely nice) and was spotted a few bucks by happy locals. Tried to find his site to repay him but was unable to locate - so Phil, if you’re reading this.. thank you! All in all, a nice relaxing weekend away from the city.

We had great time in the company of our friends, but I wold not recommend this place to visit, if you have a choice. As others noted, there is A LOT of road dust everywhere from the material they used to cover the roadway. Only one morning did they ran a watering truck to put it down, but only on the main road. Golf carts are going back and forth all the time creating dust, so if you are looking for fresh air - this is most definitely not the place to be.If you go there, be extremely careful and watch your kids at the beach if you go into the water! The water is very shallow, so it is impossible to swim for adults, but the danger is not from the depth, but from the randomly located concrete slabs with sharp edges sticking out of the bottom in random places. There are no markings with the buoys of those concrete structures, and it is very easy to get injured if you walk or run around in the water and don't pay attention. I have never seen a private property beach with such disregard for kids safety. There should be DANGER signs all over the shore to warn about underwater hazard risks, if they cannot clean up the bottom! We stayed for 2 nights, and the restroom did not have soap or paper towels, and I am not sure it was cleaned even once. The door had a strange lock where you need to enter the sequence both to unlock AND lock it! And it had to be slammed real hard to close the lock. So of course people left the door unlocked, which made that restroom a public restroom for the whole camp, essentially. Not a great practice in COVID times. They had signs about no kids and masks highly recommended in the beach store, but there was no compliance and no enforcement. And, of course, almost no one was wearing masks, and there was no such thing as social distancing. We are definitely not coming back again. To management: please do not ask me to reach out to your customer support to resolve the problems. I am not going to spend my time doing that. If you can, fix the reported issues, and note in your response what you did to fix them, so perhaps it will help your future visitors.

Love love love this place!! Rented a cabin for a week last summer and did a camp ground with a camper for a week this summer! Currently looking into a seasonal site, that’s how much I love being up there. Marina store has what you need (full markets only 5-10 minutes up the street). Activities always going on, expanding park to add more sites and activities; a really beautiful place to have a good time!!! The only thing that I have become aware of is pricing compared to other water areas. A bit steep but I still give this place 5 stars.

I love this place!! We just spent 3 nights here and none of us wanted to leave. Great for the kids!! Lots to do. It's a little community of awesomeness on a beautiful lake with mountain views. The cottage we rented was awesome, clean, (and right on the water.) We're already planning our next trip, and are hoping to get a site here in the near future.🤞 Highly recommend!

This was our first camping trip to westward shores, my family and I have been looking for a seasonal camp for a while now and have not been too impressed with the others we have been to and the price of there sites with no amenities was crazy. We went to westward shores just to check out the camp ground and have a family vacation but ended up 2 days in having a seasonal site, the camp ground is fantastic, friendly staff , campers in a very short time we all fell in love with the place and are very excited to spend many years at our new camp. The staff was very helpful in accommodating my sudden interest in a seasonal and within 24 hours we had it and were moving onto it to finish our vacation. It's a fantastic place and they are improving all the time and we can't wait to see the finished product. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful job.
