We had such a nice stay at Jacob's Brook Campground. The owners were extremely responsive when requesting reservations and asking questions. Firewood was delivered to our spot so we didn't have to carry it ourselves. The bathrooms were clean, had plenty of tp and hand soap. When I visit the area again I will definitely be staying here! Thanks for making our vacation so nice!Nearby activities: Close to hiking

Sadly, what should have been a good visit, turned sour, because of a innocent oversight. The owner clearly overreacted. We apologized but he treated us like criminals, using threats and false accusations. So sad, we won't return. It's a nice, convenient campground. The lady who originally helped us was very pleasant. Be sure to only deal with her.

Place is beautiful, unfortunately the owners are not pleasant. We been here a few times and they are nice one minute and rude the next. Heard him yelling at other guests once when he could have easily taken them aside. I noticed you have to catch the owner at a certain peek of his intoxication or he’s a real rude dude. They turn down water pressure when it’s close to your leave. Now they are complaining about electric usage. The campground itself is nice and quaint, but these fools kind of ruin the experience. We stopped going there because they themselves outweigh any and all of the good positive things.

We booked months before coming to this campground for the first time and what a beautiful campground it is. We hate camping in sites where you are packed on like sardines. You know what I mean there is no privacy but this place has beautiful spacious large sites. The owners Phil and Ness are the most gracious people I ever met and are so helpful. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. We will be coming here more often.

We have stayed here twice and have had a very pleasant experience both times. Both times have been in the fall. The vibe here is very quiet and peaceful, which is why we will continue to comeback. We don't need to be entertained we need to be able to relax & that is what they offer. Well worth the visit. Rowdy people need not apply lol.

My wife and I spent this past weekend at Jacobs Brook. This is a great example of what my wife and I value in a campground. Lots of woods. Nice sights. Pleasent staff. The Brook was nice, the dog really liked playing in the water. It had a nice little walking path through the woods. A good mix of campsite types from truly remote, open field, to large wooded RV sights. We enjoyed the local area full of small towns and simple life. We really enjoyed our stay dispite 1 rainy day. Camping for us is a get away. Leave the hustle and bustle, we don't want a fancy resort, we want peace and relaxation with nature. That's what you get here.

We just spent the weekend here. This campground is clean, well maintained and very quiet. The camp sites were spacious and offered plenty of privacy. My only complaint is that for a holiday weekend, the bathroom could have used a daily spruce up and restocking of paper supplies. We would definitely visit again!

Highly recommend! Stayed two nights. Quiet, clean, lots of places in the woods to explore. Wood cravings are a quaint touch. Creek is beautiful with a swimming hole. Pool is clean. Lots of covered bridges in the area and lake swimming at Treasure island. You can even rent a boat to sleep in. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place.

Update 2019: Please note that the campground has new owners and I have not been back since it changes hands. This review is for the previous owner. We just spent a fantastic long weekend at Jacobs Brook Campground. We were a group of ten tent/car campers and this had the perfect spot for us. There are three sites right next to each other with so much room that we fit four tents, four cars, and two canopies and still had room for a Frisbee game. There was one more site off to the side that we could have added if we had a larger group or there is a wonderful group area on the other side of the campground if we really had a lot of people. Our site was next to the seasonal section but, because of the hill that they are up, we felt very secluded. On the other side of us were woods that you could hear the brook through. The owner is extremely nice and helpful. She obviously takes pride in her campground which she told us that she has owned for about ten years. She is easygoing and was quick to respond to my emails when I had a couple questions before we arrived. She even offered to lend us a plug adapter to charge our phones at our site! The campground had a few trails to just walk around and visit different spots on the brook. Our teenagers had fun at the brook and in the pool (both are swim at your own risk) and I noticed that there was a swing set, playhouse and horseshoe pit too. The town Orford is also very quaint. We went geocaching on a local trail and then a little on Rte 10; we found about a dozen, all within about three miles of the campground.I am going to wrap up but have to mention the bathrooms before I do. As a tent camper, the bathroom condition is very important to me and Jacobs Brook CG has a very nice bathroom/shower house in the center of the campground. Everything was clean; I like that the lights are motion activated so they turn off when no one is there which really cuts down on the bugs that I have found at other places. It had hot water and paper towels and FANCY soap! My friend and I were tickled to use the different scented hand soaps that just kind of crossed the t in Perfect.Overall, this is a great, quiet campground in a wonderful area that I would recommend to tent and trailer campers alike. I know that my group will definitely return.

Had a great weekend at Jacob's Brook, our site was roomy and the kids enjoyed the pool and brook. The owners were friendly from the minute we showed up to the minute we left. I would give 5 stars, but our sites didn't have sewer hookup or a descent wifi connection, tho we did ask to have a secluded site with our friends, which I guess is the trade off for the large site vs smaller sites closer to wifi and with full hook ups. Also I can't vouch for any type of activities as we kind of stuck with our group and made our own fun.

As there were no other tent campers for the night, we had the entire brook and swimming hole to ourselves. After an extremely hot day of riding, the experience exceeded anything I could have imagined. Friendly staff, nice facilities, clean campsites and natural areas.

A great little campground just minutes off of I-91 exit 15 in Orford,NH. Very quiet and large sites w/ rustic campfire rings. Only twenty minutes from Hanover,NH. Great for long stays or just a travel stop to another destination.

There's a reason why this place deserves a five star.. coming from two adults road tripping to the east coast. Glad we randomly found it. Clean, beautiful, quiet.. did I mention clean.. thanks so much
