Great atmosphere, food, etc. The owner(s) are very friendly as are the employees. The place has a restaurant inside, which is what I know it for, and everything from the chicken fingers to the burgers to the french fries, you won't be let down. Everything is very affordable as well. If you are ever in the area, I suggest stoping in and grabbing a bite to eat, while taking in the classical country store feel it has.

Place isn’t bad if you can get in. Hours posted online are never right because owner is lazy and closes it like 5 days out of the the week. Worst part is that there is always a stupid excuse on the door like “ ran out of water” when the store is right next to a lake. And I highly doubt that the well would go dry when it’s right next to a lake.

I have been going to the Vernondale store since 1999. I loved it then and now with the updates and new look and focus I love it even more! I often stop in for lunch when I am working across the street at the church. Great subs and sandwiches!!!

Best little country store around. The owner Bob always has a good word and a smile to share with you. Bob also has some of the friendliest employees going! You need to experience the Vernondale store for yourself.

Although this store's website and Google information denote that it has "24-Hour Gas Service" it does not. Due to this misinformation, I and my party were stuck at Vernondale Store in the middle of a freezing March night for more than an hour waiting for AAA to arrive with gas. If the website's information was correct, we would have not trusted to venture to a small business. Truly disappointed and we will never return to this store.

Great old timey store with wine and cheese and whatever you need in a pinch for dinner and drinks date at the last minute in a rural setting. Serves up some knick knacks as well as necessities. Cool wooden porch really lends to the feel.

Very friendly, inexpensive, and provides convenient lunch/dinner/snack options for Follansbee Inn guests, and other visitors to Kezar Lake. Eat on swivel stools at the old-fashioned lunch counter, or take out. Forget anything for your vacation? The Store carries sundries. Fun for kids, too, with a wall of penny candy choices!

The place looks awesome with a very old timey 50's feel. Service here is slow and buying options can be limited. Still worth the stop and there is a nice selection of local goods.

hours fluctuate. The store needs a couple good highly paid guys to keep the store popping all year round. May take some time to get back up there, but it for sure would!

Beautifully renovated old-fashioned general store with soda fountain, grill, penny candy and local gifts. Right across the street from lovely Kezar Lake and the Follinsbee Inn.

It was great to spend time off the highway, eating tasty gluten free chicken tenders and sweet potato fries and hearing about the area from the friendly staff. A gem!

I grew up in north sutton and the verondale was there then so its special even though its closed becuse of covid
