Delicious ice cream, definitely worth a stop. The store also offers drinks and snacks, everything is selve serve, you can take what you want and leave cash/check or use Venmo.

Cute little self serve ice cream shop off the beaten path. Seriously. It's about a mile down a dirt road with some terrible bumps. The building is a small little room with two coolers. Inside you'll find 2 medium sized coolers with 3 different sizes of pre cupped ice cream. A slot in the wall ask you to deposit the correct amount you take. It is obviously cash only. The ice cream itself is phenomenal and definitely worth a trip. I do advise bringing a spoon from home. The ice cream is kept at a rock hard temperature and all they provide is wooden spoons which just aren't adequate in my opinion. There is a variety of places to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Also a porta potty that is kept pretty clean if you need to go.I'd recommend visiting this place if you're in the area or want to go for a good adventure.

This ice cream place was really out in no where but worth the drive thru the woods as the I've cream was wonderful! They had a quaint sitting area as well. They also sold cheese there which was delicious. It appears to be farm fresh items. Would highly recommend going.

Went with the family on an ice cream adventure to the Sandwich Creamery. Got hassled a little because it's a lot of dirt road to get there and some hills, but once you get there it is a lot of fun. This is a New England honor based business where they stack the coolers with all sorts of ice cream flavors in three sizes plus sundaes and ice cream sandwiches. You write down what you took and put the money in the mailbox built into the wall. Please NOTE this is a CASH BASED BUSINESS ONLY so bring small bills as there is no change available. This was a fun adventure and we'd go back again just for the fun of it. I got a small grapenut custard, dirt road, and tipsy turtle. I picked up sea salt caramel for our daughter. My husband got cow tracks. And my son and daughter-in-law got grasshopper pie, s'mores, oreo, and some chocolate milk. Just a suggestion more grapenut cereal in the custard.

So far I've had about 6 flavors on our annual trips to Sandwich; things like Blackberry Chocolate Chip, Blueberry, Black Cherry, Mexican Jumping Bean, and a few others you probably won't find at a supermarket freezer section. Bring bug spray if it's *that* time of the year. Drive slowly, too; this is up in the mountains and about 3/4 of a mile off of the nearest paved road. (which I have to stress is absolutely worth the journey, every time)

Cool local creamery with local cheese and ice cream. They have ice cream cups/pints in different sizes. Take what you want and leave cash for what you take. Prices are marked. Cool honor system!

Delicious local ice creamery. Accepts Venmo. Try the classic ice cream sandwich (chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream)

I should have written this a long time ago, before Sandwich Creamery was forced to move. What a neat little place out in the middle of nowhere! Delicious ice cream and so many flavors. Really wonderful cheeses, as well. This was a great place to bring our out of town and city friends. They swooned over the quality of the ice cream and could not believe the idyllic location and honor jar method of payment. And then good for the owners that they found a different place for their wares in Center Sandwich. I wish them all the best as they’ve contributed much joy to these Pennsylvania transplants to NH.

What a wonderful treasure on the back roads of New Hampshire. We were coming over sandwich Notch Road. When we ran into two lovely ladies in a jeep. Recommended we go there and we were definitely not disappointed. The hand packed ice cream was amazing. And their goats so that's always fun. Just keep in mind as a self-serve cash only. The Smores was our favorite!

So today on our journey we saw the sign for the creamery so we drove the Harley down and every bump in the road was worth every bite of the Ice-cream we ate.I was amazed when we walked in and saw no one there it was self serve and THE HONOR SYSTEM TO PAY!So we wrote down what we bought put the 💰 in the box on the wall then went outside and ate the most DELICIOUS ICE-CREAM EVER!! Hand's down NH has the best Ice-cream we are stocking up the camper and it's going home to Michigan. So if you get the chance stop by the sandwich creamery you will be back over and over

Cave into your craving! Do you love ice cream? Cheese? Beautiful drives? Animals? You have found your destination. You take a beautiful ride, purchase some ice cream and either sit there on one of there benches or take it with you. Animals to see. Have cheese and usually bread available. Ice cream is creamy and we'll made. Our favorite for sure. It is well worth the trip. You will wish you had brought a cooler to take some back with you. Cash or check only.

Very secluded place for an ice cream store but definitely worth the wait and drive. As shown in my picture they do have some non dairy (coconut milk) ice creams, happy tummy here! Kids loved the flavors of coffee, chocolate, cookie dough, coconut and coconut milk chai spice was mine.

We visited this little farm shop on recommendation from a neighbor. Down the winding dirt road are witty signs and adequate parking. Goats looked up momentarily as we found our way to the shop, which is self-serve and honesty pay system. The ice cream exceeded my expectations because it was light, creamy, and very well flavored. My pick was "Mexican Jumping Bean," a cinnamon chocolate ice cream dotted with chocolate covered espresso beans. We look forward to our next chance to visit. Next time I will bring more cash to also pick up a loaf of bread and carton of farm fresh eggs.

Quaint little place with phenomenal ice cream! The honor system is a throwback for sure, so nice to see people can still be trusted to do the right thing. We purchased ice cream, a frozen rhubarb pastry, smoked cheddar and boursin cheese. My husband accidentally logged in Brie cheese instead of the boursin we took home. Our apologies for the mix up, however we did leave 20% extra, which will make up for any cost discrepancy. Thank you for sharing your unique little place with the area folks, it made our day to visit. I do wish you the best of luck with the zoning debacle, and hope your neighbors give the harassment a rest.

This place was so cool! We did not know what to expect, but it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences for myself, my children and my sister. Well worth the time it takes to get there. The ice cream is delicious! When you visit, don't forget to mark the map and say hi to the rooster!

Cute ice cream shop that sells ice cream in small personal containers. Only 4 stars because some of the flavors don't have a description and no chocolate in the almond joy flavor. Very creamy though!

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I was told that they have closed down possibly due to neighboring property owners having issues with the steady flow of traffic. I hope someone can clear this up.UPDATE:I just saw another post that confirms what I wrote. They are closed. I do hope that the owners make a post on the main page stating this! I also hope they will post locations where their products can be found. I'm pretty sure that Moulton Farm in Meredith does, but not positive.

Best creamery in the Squam lakes Region in my opinion. Black raspberry, bearcamp blueberry, and Oreo are some of my favorites. Definitely bring cash and don’t be too afraid of the dirt road. It’s worth the trip for some ice cream and it feels like a place out of time.

I love this place. I was taken here by some locals when I lived in North Conway. They work on the honor system, or they did back then. You leave money for whatever you take. It's delicious ice cream and the cows are right outside the shop. It's a little out of the way but it's an awesome destination. I will be back! I am so glad it's still in operation.

It was closed after a very long, but scenic ride. This was in May! We'll never go there again, but had happy memories of eating ice cream in the yard. Too bad. Another 'institution' gone....

If your looking for a little adventuring into the woods and have a craving for ice cream take a drive to the Sandwich Creamery. You wont be disappointed. Be sure to bring CASH. You can also find their ice cream being sold in local stores if you do not want to make the drive but I have to say its just not the same without the adventure.

The icecream is amazing! And the tiny building is packed full of coolers full of so many different flavors. The ride in is kind of confusing but just keep following the dirt roads and you'll get to this little heaven.

This is an amazing little creamery and is well worth the drive if you're in the area. The ice cream is awesome and all of the flavors are super unique. In addition there is a lovely area outside to enjoy the ice cream. All in all this is a quaint little place and well worth the drive.

Always a great place to get icecream. Many flavors to choose from and multiple sizes. Some of the best icecream around and a nice peaceful place to enjoy it. A little out of the way for some people but definitely worth the trip. Don't forget a cooler so you can bring some home with you.

Went looking for this mysterious Ice Cream spot after reading a local fishwrap whilst waiting in a North Conway restaurant. We headed out for an adventure on a rainy day and followed the instructions. Something like “Take the main road, then turn onto the secondary, then onto the tertiary road, onto the the dirt road, and then finally follow the two dirt tracks up the mountain”. When the bear crossed the road just in front of us we figured we were close. Then the meadow opened in front of us and there was Shangri-La. Amazing flavours such as Lemon Ginger, Blueberry, etc all self served from a little shop on the porch. Through the windows you could even watch the elves making their wonderful products. We have now been there twice, and I assure you that I would drive all the way from Canada just to visit this slice of heaven.
