I think Shaws has changed lately and gotten much better! Also, if you shop carefully, you can pick up great bargains! By shopping the ads this week, I spent $95 but saved $88 with in store coupons!! My biggest savings was a 6 lb rib roast that started out at $15.99/lb, and I bought it for $5.97/lb.... saving over $60 on my roast!! And the butcher cut it in half for me for 2 meals!! Shop with digital coupons, and you'll get some great savings here!!

So happy I stopped by and did my grocery shopping here!!!Probably the best grocery store I've ever seen. Organized, clean and great selection. Specially fresh produce section was fantastic! High quality fruit, vegetables and all you need plus more. I wish this would be my local store.

If Google wasn't biased towards corporations, we could have a much need thumbs down for corporate bs responses.I'm not even exaggerating....go a few more miles down the road and you'll save $1 - $2 on everything you buy. This oil was $15.99 at Shaws in North Hampton NH, $13.99 at Hannafords. Or you can save even more by going to Market Basket, $2 -$3 less than Shaws. There's NO need for them to be so expensive, they are price gauging you!The (usually middle aged) employees are generally nice, regardless of how short staffed they are, because I'm sure the pay is terrible and not many people can even survive in this area on $18/h, let alone most likely $13/h (probably the base Shaws wage) which is the average clerk pay here.The only plus to shopping at Shaws is that it's 3/4 less crowded then any other Supermarket in the area. No wonder.

The store was clean and well stocked early on a Sunday morning. I picked up several bottles of wines, a couple groceries and a 8 pack of Guinness.Since I was visiting from Pennsylvania, I had to add the Shaw’s app to get the digital coupon for the stout.Shea was was my cashier. She was extremely helpful and patient and made sure I got all of the savings on my groceries!Please made it be known that this is a great grocery store and Shea is an excellent employee and plus to your staff!

I find that Shaw's tends to be slightly more expensive than the other major chains, BUT I love that the store is always so, so clean, and it seems that the isles are a little wider. Customer service is great too. Additionally, the bakery and floral departments are better than other grocery store chains.I recently planned a baby shower and was really pleased with how easy it was to order everything in one spot: Sandwich platters, cupcakes, balloons, etc. Excellent service!

In for the very good promotion prices on a few things. Hardly anyone in the store, nonetheless long lines at the three registers that are open.Another visit for a couple of things. Sunday afternoon, four registers open with lines 3 to 4 people deep. I was third in line at the self service registers. Manager seemed to have to help everyone using self service registers. I got want I needed quickly, then needed 20 minutes to get though checkout. Worked out in the end.

Not really a big Shaw shopper. But lately having to live down the road. And also close to work I have given it a chance. Friendly staff they’re short no matter what like my work. So I will I think we should all pitch in quick complaining. And be thankful for the people that are there. It is not an easy job to be and getting screamed at over shortages. If you don’t have the staff things don’t get rotated or refilled. Reading some of these reviews people seem to expect a little too much. So what you have to bag your groceries and get your hands dirty. Imagine if you had to do that every single day and get screamed at. No I don’t work there but I appreciate those who do 🇺🇸 .I decided to go and help out a local business ended up working for these folks for a week while they’re resetting all the product and upsetting their customers. I was asked to pull merchandise forward and help customers at my other job. customers are number one, but I did take priority in doing my job. Sadly, the management was always criticizing that I didn’t do enough. Even gave them two of my days off for a little vacation. I had to help them out. They truly know why they are hurting for workers. I would never work here again and they have lost my business and that of my coworkers who choose to not shop there.

This store is very outdated. They do not offer self checkout and have very few registers open. It was not very busy at the time I was shopping but I did have to wait in a line to cash out. I think this store is good if you only require a few items but I would not do my regular shopping here. They do have a large parking lot with handicap spots and a wheelchair accessible door.

I only come here in a pinch. Many ppl in the local facebook group have complained about expired food. I've bought expired food from here too on multiple occasions. The produce isn't great quality either. I was very happy they started carrying plantains, but most of the time when I start prepping them it's apparent they're not very workable. I usually drive the extra 10 minutes to market basket. It seems to me that Shaws is pinching pennies and taking shortcuts.

I like Shaw's produce section as it's always fresh, colorful, and I can find some things here that I can't at other grocery stores in the area. One thing I don't like at all is their smaller packages of things at higher prices. I do like their bakery - always fresh goodies that are quite tempting.

Over priced, out of the way, bad service, bad quality items.Just go to another store. Sometimes traveling a little further is better than dealing with over priced food products and bad quality hots

For several years now, my wife and I have shopped at the North Hampton Shaw's store regularly, but not any more! It's a nice store and the cashiers are always very friendly and helpful. However, this morning we were treated incredibly rudely by the store manager on duty at 9:00 10/2/20. Unfortunately, the manager's actions reflect upon the whole store. I have no need to expose myself to such rude treatment while simply trying to shop for groceries. Good luck keeping this store open for business with that management style!

Needs a customer service seminar! I was checking out and a manager was in line in front of me and had ripped open some kind of tuna and cracker plate. She’s scooping out the tuna with the crackers and loudly chatting with the cashier while eating reeking of tuna, talking about “old people” not being able to do something. Which unfortunately I fall into that category. Couldn’t she tell everyone in the line could hear her? They were all rolling their eyes. I said to the cashier before I left very unprofessional. A manager mind you!

Very expensive. Milk in the refrigerator was expired by two weeks. Ended up having to bag 150$ worth of groceries for myself. Shaws charges a premium for supposed superior quality service. Go to any other grocery store and it is much cheaper and service is better quality.

Selling day old “best by” meat almost all of the pork and beef had 09/10/22 for cook or freeze by with brown meat spoiled looking meats.Edit: thanks for the P.C. reply by shaws with that standard message. Your store had atleast 1/2 the meat with sell by 09/10 and cook/freeze by: 09/11 and some 09/10 for freeze by brown spoiled and sitting there being sold. I let your cashier know but your “butchers” just kept putting the meat out. Nasty store with a standard reply. Bankruptcy on the horizon with those practices.

Everyones nice, and the person making the flowers in the bouque section is really great. She did a wonderful job and they came out amazing. Also the AC is really nice. 5 stars if the food was a little bit better organized, like Hannafords

Awesome fresh catch choices, cool oceanfront location. You can get your favorites like clam strips, oysters, clams and such in different sized containers so it's nice to get a bunch to share amongst the table. Lobster rolls, whole lobster, lots of choices.

Very very overpriced food, sometimes twice as much as Market Basket. Impossible to find someone to help you on the floor. I've never shopped there and not had at least one thing ring up at the wrong price. Lastly, their receipts are overly convoluted, so it's impossible to tell what you paid for something unless you go over the receipt with a fine-toothed comb.

Great Signature products. Produce is fresh. Deli and seafood always has someone available to help and the wait is never to long. Bakery always has a knowledgable and helpful baker ready to serve in the mornings and early afternoons. Great customer service. Friendly cashiers and customer service. Even the employees gathering carts are friendly and personable. Generic Signature products are comparible, if not better than leading brands. Prices are more expensive in comparison to other local grocery stores.

Shopped at the north Hampton, NH store today, and in all honesty, only travel there when there is a sale. On this day, I had no intentions of buying hotdogs, but on my way to the roasted chickens, a big orange sign cought my eye that read $6.99. Behind this big orange sign were 2 1/2 pound package of Dietz and Watson hotdogs. I've wanted to try this brand, but they are price so never have. I bought a package. Guess what. They didn't ring up at $6.99 . I normally check my receipt before I leave the store, but today for some reason, I did not.I don't think there is anything that upsets me more and makes me not want to return.i don't know which is worse, the wrong pricing, the high prices or the god awful website, it's just too hard to shop at shaws.

Staff/management always responsive but produce is often lacking in freshness and you need to check sell-by dates always because expired items remain on shelves frequently; e.g. shelf-stable milk. I do appreciate that they don't rearrange the aisles/product placement so you can find things quickly. If you shop when the first open, the seafood department is not open.

Staffing in the meat department needs to be more customer friendly and not rude as I experienced! Perhaps it was the volume of people shopping at the time (something I believe they aren't used to)! The Cashier's are always the BEST at this location😄.

This is a good Shaw's to go to. I understand it can be challenging for this store but this also brings a great opportunity to get some bargains as they reduce the price of items that may not be in its prime but will still be of great quality if eaten in the next couple days. This has yielded bargains such as fresh swordfish for $3.99/lb.

This Shaw's location has really, really fresh fish. I often go there and get fish for 1 person (less than 1/2 lb) then take it home and cook it. It is so fresh, not "fishy" at all & really excellent. Just as good or often better than local fish markets along the coast.

I have to write a review because this is a small road trip miracle. Driving from Michigan to the east coast, the one thing my son wanted to get was Moxie (don't ask why) and we were hell bent to find some and bring some home. We ended up at this Shaw's looking for it and we found one twelve pack. And the staff was so incredibly helpful and kind in helping us find five more so that my son could bring all of it back home to share with all of his friends and family members. Thank you, to all of you who helped us that day.

This is a very clean establishment and adheres to the advice given for covid-19. all the aisles are wide enough that two people fit down each one. All aisles are one direction. The cashiers have ample safety measures and are very friendly.I will say that most of the normal products are in stock. The lines to check out where no longer than before Covid-19.

All employees are doing a fantastic job during this shortage and crisis. All were courteous and helpful with a smile. Today one of the staff members was passing out St. Patrick's green carnations to people in the cash out lines. Thank you for being open and smiling!
