This was my favorite shop in this cute little town. They had some great sales and super soft/warm/comfy/etc clothing. I found a lovely jumper and a cute super soft T-shirt. Also, they had amazing water bottle stickers - the small ones that are so hard to find! There were dressing rooms to try on clothes and the store was bigger than it looked. And the people working there today were fabulous! Friendly customer service which is harder and harder to find these days!

This is such a cute store with a large assortment of items to purchase. Upon entering you will certainly notice all of the cute stuffed animals. They have plenty of clothing for people of all sizes and that is awesome. They also have lots of home decor for your home decorating pleasures. The staff was very pleasant and were more than happy to help us during our visit. We were able to buy something for everyone in the family. We truly enjoyed our shopping experience here and we can't wait to come back up in the summer.

THE BEST GEM EVER! If you are a fan of Pendleton, or anything quality (Patagonia, etc) this store is just heaven. Everything is beautifully organized, current collections as well as patterns from the past, and the back room is a gold mine! On top of that it is run by the nicest people, making the shopping experience far superior from anything with similar items in Boston! I will be saving my cold & souvenir clothing needs for trips to North Conway and The Rugged Mill. *Sidenote, I had a newborn, and one of the owners helped me use their personal bathroom to prep a bottle.... does it get nicer!? (spoiler alert: NO!)

Oh my gosh. What great service. I was walking by and noticed a sale on rain gear my husband needed. Since I was walking. I had no CC. They held my item until the following day. This is how the locals do it. Kindnesses, respect, and the whole time I was in there. It was relaxed, not pressured, not stressing.i actually dropped of snacks they were so amazing. Hard to find . You can't go wrong. A valley original. And I love that.still smiling

We were up in North Conway last week and are so glad we stopped in The Rugged Mill. Aside from the friendly and helpful staff the store has a great clothing selection for both men and women. Did I say great clothing? The prices are very reasonable, and the quality is there. We plan to go back soon.

I had not been in the store for at least a year and I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted by Mr. Fusco and directed to a couple of areas seeking "Old Guys Rule" stuff. I did note that the store was extremely well organized and the layout is perfect. Everything can be seen. There is much stock and it can be found easily. Furthermore, Mr. Fusco is very pleasant and I have vowed to return to the store in the near future. If you are in North Conway and miss this venue, you will regret it.

We purchased 2 beautiful plush pillows that we were told the quality was top notch. Only to bring them home and a month later we’re as flat as a pancake. $ 50.00 each and not the quality they were hyped up to be. Be careful what you listen to before you purchase. Lesson learned.

My boyfriend and I just came back from NH. John was on a mission to find a specific type of vest that he could wear this winter while he did his archery outside. We went to certain stores at the outlets, but nothing. We thought for sure we would find it at one of those. The day before we were leaving to go home, we saw The Rugged Mill. He hit the jackpot. It was like Christmas morning for him. I have to say, as soon as we came in, we felt very welcome. A woman by the name of, Jordan, was there to help him, and help me throughout the entire process. It was a PROCESS. I told her it was like taking a girl out to buy a prom dress. He had to try on every style of vests. We were there for close to an hour. He picked the Mercedes of all vests in quality and price. I told him that I would give him a certain amount and he could consider it part of his Christmas gift this year. He also found another item he had in mind, and bought that too. That took less than five minutes, thank the Lord! Jordan made it less painful for me by being so kind and funny. He walked out of that store with a huge smile on his face and laughing. He found even better than he was looking for. Rugged Mill, I'm sure we will be back. I know NOW to bring food, water, a blanket and pillow. Hopefully Jordan, you will still be there to check in on me once and a while. Thank you for all of your help. Debbie and John

It is a store with many nice things to buy, they do not make any contradiction, but if you want to change what you bought or return there is a problem, I bought some water shoes that cost me $ 19.99 for me and one for my husband, but My husband did not have them because they did not give me the size that I asked him (my mistake, did not check them before) and it was two weeks that I bought them and because I only had the copy of the receipt and the happy shoes did not have any label, because They gave them to me without a label, they did not change them, they did not give me back the money. If it is a store at that level they should have the sales files up to date and give more satisfaction to their clients, they did not make an effort to fix it👎👎👎👎

We stay in N.Conway every year in October and the Rugged Mill is one of our regular stops. Actually we stop in 2-3 times while we are there and always come out with something else. Great little store with tons of REAL NICE stuff!!
