I noticed many negative reviews, but needed to go to this store anyway, for lack of time to head someplace else. The store is well stocked and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I don't know if they are under new management or have just re-trained everyone, but I had a very pleasant experience. Definitely recommend it.

A few days ago , I stopped in to pickup essentials. Milk , some fruit and some cocktail mixers . I got to the counter register and was told by the register attendant the bill was $36 dollars and change I was like flabbergasted but the price . I said the two fruit selections were 6 dollars and the half gallon of milk was 1.99 and the cocktail mixer was two for $7.00 dollars . That it did not add up . She just stared or glared at me .. then a young manager walks over and states , oh no these mixers are 7 dollars each . I said the sign said two for 7 dollars .. we disagreed and I refused to be extorted for prices that were marked . I paid and begin to retrace my steps in the store and took photos of the advertisement . While doing do the manager followed me around the store and was becoming lil embarrassed because the signs clearly stated the correct price . One . This store seems to be engaging in nefarious actions . It is advertising one price and charging a different price . I have personally been over charged and have grown tired of this game . Next I will be boycotting this store and chain . Because I believe it is management who is behind the nefarious actions ...

For being one of the most expensive grocery stores I was very unhappy. It wasn't wicked dirty but it wasn't clean... The atmosphere just wasn't good. The prices are extremely high. Some of the produce looked like it was on its way out. The bread shelf was empty the milk shelves were empty. The people at the registers didn't really seem like they wanted to be there.. our local store had a fire... That's the only reason I ended up trying Shaw's. I definitely won't be back, regardless of when my local store reopens

Very confusing did not have the flowers that they put on their website for the pricesso as door dashers came in. We were baffled on our orders because they did not have what they claim to have or advertise to have. We were the ones doing the doordash for others and you had a night supervisor running the flower department and she had claimed that she was not the original person for their when a customer had asked if she could put a certain flower set up together for her she said no we lost a lot of time and money trying to complete our doordashing when your store said it had things for certain prices this is what they put on the red card for a Dasher so when you get to a place like Shaw's and you don't have anything close to what you advertised my red card does not allow me to price things up for people or change things without their approval but your staff is very unwilling to even help on Valentine's Day put together flowers for people

This summer's rain has resulted in a much faster flow of water at Brookside Park in Grantham, NH. Some parts of the trail are muddied, but Brookside Park continues to be one of my favorite local gems.

Amazing little park great lakes for kayaking or canoeing. No motorboats the days we were there I don't know if they allow them or not. Kids loved camping and swimming.

Would give zero stars if i could. Unfriendly staff. Dont even aknowledge cudtomers prices went in wrong so i questioned it. Another lady came from next register telling me im wrong even when i showed her the tags she still insisted i was wrong . Honor your prices people

I've shopped at this Shaw's for fill in items for several years. After experiencing some issues, I shopped elsewhere for a few months. I have tried this store a few times recently, and there's been a noticeable improvement overall.

Amee @ Shaw's tonight gave myself and others exceptional service. I first saw her hustling around getting a Ballon for a guest who was already in line. .. before I knew it she was tapping me on the shoulder opening up a lane to check out additional guests giving helpful advice and suggestions about using the Shaw's app. This is how EVERY EMPLOYEE SHOULD BE!! Bravo! I repeated her name inside my head out to my car specifically to make sure to recognize her by name when doing this review!

I was so surprised and excited when I walked in and saw the large organic produce section. Market baskets is minimal in the greens dept. I bought 3 bundles of organic kale-11.97, organic spinach-2.99...normal price, 2 containers of organic strawberries-13.98, 1 organic blueberry-5.99, 1 organic green pepper-2.99...same price as Market basket, and here's the kicker...2 pints of Ben & Jerry's icecream-6.99 a piece..on sale for 5.99.For the love of God..somebody tell me why the ice cream ismuch so much more expensive here. It's 3.99 at Market basket. My total bill was 49.90...shocking. I had to look at the receipt when I got to the car, I bought 7 items for 50.00? Great produce, but I won't likely return. Very sad!!

This Shaw's is smaller than any other I've ever visited. The only available bathroom is in the employee break room- as a customer I was told to go behind the bakery doors to find the bathroom. It was odd. No one even pointed me in the right direction. It felt weird going into the back of the store where employees were trying to eat lunch.Other than the odd bathroom situation, the store itself is well stocked and had the items I was looking for. Prices were not bad either.

Really great selection of organic food, mainly the organic produce. I did find almost everything to be quite expensive, way more than Market Basket that’s for sure, but the quality was worthwhile for the price for most items. Also found some items that I have not found at other grocery stores in the area. This store is pretty good and offers a wide variety even if it is expensive. There are definitely certain items I would not purchase here due to price alone though.

I have done some price comparisons to their neighboring store in West Lebanon. They are only separated by 30 miles. One would think that in such close proximity the prices would be the same. That is not the case at this Newport store. I found the prices to be considerably higher on select items. Some of those items are Shaw's own name brand. I also find there Is lack of product even at the start of the sale week. It seems to me that trying to find a sale item on Friday evening, the 1st day of the sale, shouldn't be a challenge. I also went to take advantage of their turkey prices and found Very little product to choose from. It is like they are begging us to go to other stores and not to theirs. People like to plan ahead for their grocery needs and not have to make extra trips in order to find the product they need. If this store would like to be a premiere grocery store in this area they need to work on their product, pricing, and quantity. If not we will continue to go to other places. It simply isn't good for the community too appear to take advantage of them through pricing and to not offer the same quantity as other Shaw's stores.

Clerks at register were too busy cleaning the area to wait on customers. Even after the male clerk called for the girl to come she continued to clean. After he had called out to the girI, I observed a customer saying nicely! "excuse me I am ready now!"The clerk snapped back angrily saying I'll be there in a minute!! She mumbled that she has to clean!! Her attitude made me think about leaving! I hope the workers get training soon in what is important about customer service. If it had been me I would have left my loaded cart and left! There are other stores!

This store needs an update, I've been to several others in their chain and this, although clean, is just old feeling.My wife participates in the rewards program and I can't recall one time when she has been able to redeem for all the items she is eligible for. It's almost like they want to force people into Claremont where you have multiple choices.

Went to order one of the larger subs at the deli and I have never ordered them before so I wasn’t sure how it worked. The women with the longer brown hair and glasses working the deli was very rude and had quite a attitude to the point where it made me want to walk out and cancel my order. She needs to work on her customer service skills not sure if she is just having a bad day or what.

The worst food store I've ever shopped in. To start.......the most miserable staff I've come across, not helpful, no eye contact, some are mute I believe as they just stare at you but no dialogue. Ask a question & you get a miserable look and no answer. The amount of times I've had to return items that were either out of date, soon to be out of date and or frozen stuff that is freezer burnt. Go to take things back is another journey at this sad excuse of a food store. I will not shop there anymore, would rather travel an hour than to deal w/the attitude of Newport Shaws. Maybe hire people that don't have mental issues to begin with. There are maybe three or four nice people I've come across in that store & that's about it. Sorry that I'm so blunt but that store is a disgrace. Been to other Shaws stores and all was well.

Shaw's is very expensive compared to other stores but being the only grocery store in town there's not much of an option...ok for small shops but wouldn't want to do a big shop here...I will add that they fyi have an amazing floral section but even that has gone up in price

This shaws has the basics. The meat selection is hit or miss on what they have. If you have a meal planned for that night and are looking to pick up meat, they may not have it. The biggest complaint is that they do not have a salad bar for people at lunchtime. Other than that good place to shop.

This place is essentially an overgrown convenience store. The prices are not great nor is the selection of products, however it is the only real place in town so it serves it purpose

No service. Always out of sale items. All of the meat department go home before i get out of work and shelves are bare. Not well managed and rarely are registers open. Forced to use self checkout.

Friendly employees, though I'm not always in the mood to have a full on conversation at the check out about everything I'm buying. Lots of the food is almost expired. Always check the dates. Only grocery store in the immediate area, so sometimes you just have to take what you can get. Another problem is that they don't seem to have enough employees. Only 1 or 2 lanes open and I always have to bag my own stuff. One plus.. their Magic Ring donuts are amazing! 4/2 2021 update. Tina, a cashier was super rude. And she's wearing earrings that say "f**k off". I'm sorry, but someone working in customer service should not be wearing earrings like that. The store should not allow that. Bad bad business!!!

The prices are kind of high, but you can find decent deals if you have a Just For You number. It can get busy at times. The store is clean, and the employees are friendlier than at Hannafords.
