Rite Aid in Newport NH is an excellent pharmacy. My prescriptions are filled accurately and on time. The clerks in the store are super friendly and helpful. I’m really grateful this pharmacy is in the town I live in.

Absolutely.The worst service i've ever had at a pharmacy. Take care of someone else while i'm cashing out. Good RX is in my file, but they don't bother to run it through.Try to charge me three times what I should be paying. Getting my prescription changed to a pharmacy that actually takes care of their customers the right way

My dentist faxed over my antibiotics for me last night at 5:22pm. I came to pick said antibiotics up the following morning around 9am. The pharmacist claimed she was alone and didn’t have it ready, I’d have to come back but to wait for the text. 4 hours have gone by, I’ve yet to get a text. So I tried to call. No answer. So I then drive back down to the pharmacy to check on it and she said she needed the hard copy and that I couldn’t just “fax” over the script myself, I then stated to her that my dentist faxed it over and that I work in that dental office where my dentist works. I also had the hard copy of the script to provide to them. So with 4 hours passing, my script is STILL not ready. With that said I’m aware she’s along but If the pharmacist was more pleasant and not sarcastically rude I wouldn’t be as ticked off , but the fact that I’ve now wasted gas driving down here twice to get a script that should have been ready last night when it was faxed over is what I’m urked about. DO BETTER RITE AIDE!

This rite aid is awful. Employees are so rude. I go in and buy the same product every month and they make me so uncomfortable. I’ve been a regular customer for 10+ years. I started buying online now because I’m sick of the dirty looks and feeling like they are annoyed. They don’t know my story. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go in this store/pharmacy. Extremely over priced too.Rude, judgmental, over priced or don’t have the product.

The pharmacist I spoke with, Rachel, was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable. She was clearly very busy, but she was able to handle my questions over the phone and get me the medication I needed. I appreciate her! Thank you!!

Been going here for years and its always been a 1 to 2 star pharmacy at best most times..until recently..David (manager i believe) took over...he has totally been awesome..very friendly..helpful and FAST..best pharmacy employee this place has ever had in my opinion

Today the pharmacists had a fit and closed down the pharmacy cause she couldn’t handle her job. This is the worst pharmacy ever. The pharmacists should be fired. There were senior citizens that needed to wait for their prescriptions. I encourage the rite aid pharmacy in Claremont. They were very nice to deal with. Hopefully Corporate does something about this pharmacists.

The pharmacy staff is rude. I had a prescription transferred from out of state. I went to pick it up. And after standing in line behind several other people was told I had to go to the other window to get it filled. Then I had to get back in line. The cashier was beyond rude. Never going back!

This pharmacy is the WORST. Constantly changing hours due to "staffing shortage" which has been going on too long. Randomly close earlier than scheduled hours or days. This can be so detrimental to people who need their prescriptions. This location should be ashamed and embarrassed by how unorganized and inconsistent they are with their hours. Do better Rite Aid.

I've had some good experiences here, but I've also had many frustrating ones as well. The store itself is fine, and the cashiers up front are friendly. The pharmacy was great when I first started going, but has become very difficult to deal with lately. My prescriptions are never filled on time. Most of the time I either have to go there, or call and ask them to fill prescriptions that were sent over many days prior. Most of the pharmacist staff is decent, but there are a few that are not polite, and inappropriate when dealing with customers. I've been thinking about trying to find somewhere else to go for my prescription needs due to all the complications I've encountered.

Worst.Pharmacy.EVER! The hours are abysmal. They're never open when most people are able to pick up their scripts. They're closed the entire weekend, they're closed at lunch and they close at 6pm. Service is horrible and the wait for script fill when they actually are open is slower than a turtle swimming through molasses.

After visiting several Rite Aid locations in various other states, I can say this location is sterling in comparison. The pharmacy staff is always kind and prompt, and very transparent with information about my refill. While the front counter can be short staffed at times, this issue falls on management and not those working at the counter. The people who have helped me have always been very warm and welcoming, with a smile and well wishes.With an exceedingly low minimum wage, a pandemic that demands even higher expectations of our workers, and what seems like an understaffed location to what I am guessing is due to budget, perhaps we can have a bit more empathy for those helping us.Thank you to those at this Rite Aid location for always ensuring I left with a smile.

Worst pharmacy ever! The people that work there NOW aren’t trained correctly, they don’t even know what customer service means!! You can’t ever get them to answer a phone. When you need to talk to the pharmacist, well good luck because he’s probably doing the Covid vaccine during the most busiest times!! I usually will always do business with Rite Aid but Absolutely Definitely NOT the one in Newport NH!!

Without exception, I have found the employees at this Newport Rite Aid are excellent: courteous, helpful, efficient. The same is true with regard to the Pharmacy - there may be a short wait if you are a walk-in; drive-up is available.

For two months in a row, the Rite Aid has underfilled my prescription. Either their pill dispensing machine is broken, or a staff member is stealing pills. Customer service was totally reasonable when I called, and they will provide extra pills to me at no charge, but this could be extremely dangerous for someone taking a specific course of medications like antibiotics. Please be careful and count your pills as soon as you get them.

The pharmacist, Nicole, is great! Got my #4 Covid immunization with her and she answered many other questions I had about other medications. Had I not needed #4 immunization I would not have met her. It's nice to meet friendly smart people that share their wisdom!

I used to come here from Claremont to get my prescriptions because the employees were for the most part friendly and helpful. I'm not sure what happened but now they never answer the phone no matter how many times you call (unless you get lucky, it depends who's working I guess) and half of the people working here just don't care or are rude. I cannot be driving to Newport over and over just to find out if my prescription is filled or not.

I’m not sure if the girl in the pharmacy is new or just plain rude. But it took 20+ minutes to find my daughter’ medication when it was *already* filled and just hanging on the shelf waiting. I got a text and everything saying it was ready and this girl tries to tell me “that’s not what the text means”. Woman, I know how to read. It says READY FOR PICKUP. My child has literally the most basic white girl name in the world, how can you not find it? I had to leave and come back three times, have the doctors office call the pharmacy, and finally go inside to speak to someone else and figure out what was going on.

I go here often and it's hit or miss. The employees are friendly other than one pharmacy worker. Red headed woman who just seems miserable and kinda rude. I usually dread picking up my prescription if she is working. But all in all, it's a good store. They usually have what I go in for.

Should probably change the time of your pharmacy close. Stupid, I was prescribed something to help me. Thinking they were open till 6, I call to get it. And the lady on the phone says, “we’ve actually been closing at 5 for pharmacy” that is so goofy. No wonder they are always hiring.

If I could give negative stars I would! The pharmacy is absolutely obnoxious and rude when filling a script. When I called at 8:05am (just getting off a 12 hour shift) to pick my sons meds up the lovely person answering the phone said well I don’t know we just opened. And? Your point? You are open are you not? Every time I have dealt with Newport they have been awful.

I got my booster shot from a nice young man named manny. I’m scared of shots but he was so fast I didn’t have any time to react to the shot. It was amazing. I’m going to get my shots there for a very long time. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves because i am so impressed. He is skilled, kind, and professional. I recommend for anyone who is scared of shots to get theirs from him.

I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service in the pharmacy. I have a family member who takes buprenorphine and has lived a productive life for years now after being addicted to pain medication. The staff in the pharmacy is judgmental and atrociously rude when filling this prescription. I’m ashamed for them, to treat other people in such an appalling manner. I know that there are people who abuse this medication BUT there are also people who’s lives have been saved by it. This is why this state has a horrid drug problem. Why would anyone want to get help when this is what “help” looks like?

Sorry for the honest people who work here and are just trying to do their jobs. My wife went in to pick up her prescription for a months supply here for $300! Thank god for our other local pharmacy which saved her $230. This is just legal robbery, these are the stories that make me sick. Go support an honest company that won’t rob you and your loved ones.

I just moved here end of oct i chose this place as my pharmacy as of today im dobe with this place closed to staffing shortage i had issues w walgreens in littelton id rather drive to claremont walmsrt there more reliable then you are ive got bloop pressure meds there this is not safe to people who rely on getting there meds

This store is chronically understaffed and the checkout is almost alwaysglacially slow. I just waited in line for more than five minutes, while the customer in front of me wrangled with the clerk over the price of some item, whether it was $1.85 or $1.35. This happened mid-mornning on a weekday. I walked out the door without purchasing anything. There's nothing available at Rite-Aid that can't be bought elsewhere in the Town of Newport, and that's where I'd recommend shopping.

Not a fan of the pharmacy staff at this particular RiteAid, I only use the pharmacy in emergencies like to fill an Rx for my super sick kid @750pm when our regular pharmacy is closed (but I haven't done this since at least 2012 I really don't ever use the pharmacy)...I do like the general set up, products & services available in the "store part" but it's still pretty pricey; the only place in town I can buy the film for my Fujifilm Instax instant camera (reasonably priced single & double film packs) I really only go there for a few specific items when needed
