I like this store, sometimes can be a little disheveled but has good deals. Has a nice garden and patio center and those crazy deals are awesome. Nice selection of Oriental rugs too.

I have always loved Ocean State for both the low prices, the huge selection of items available & the awesome deals you can score if you play your cards right. Since most of the items in the store are close outs, it's usually a "one and done" type of situation, especially with seasonal items. The only thing some people seem to get frustrated about is that quite often you really need to take your time & really go through the merchandise to find what you really want. I have gotten some VERY awesome deals here; for example, I purchased a $15 pair of sunglasses that regularly retails for $110 early in 2023. In 2019, I purchased a $700 water & fire proof safe with a biometric finger print lock for $240. The CrazyDeals & the online site to store merchandise has also changed the game in an awesome way. Their new "Site to Store" option offers such things as $3000 massage chairs, those $1500-$2400 electric bicycles & tons of other items both large & small. They also now offer a wider array of Crazy Deals on their website. I always give the Newport NH Ocean State 5+ stars! 😎

HUGE store with LOTS of very low-priced merchandise from warm winter jackets and sweat shirts to sheets and blankets, to furniture and groceries. Update: Today I went there to buy a larger carrier for our cat Buddha. Ended up also getting a warm hat for my husband, Muk Luk sock slippers for me, and 2 dessert plates. AND I signed up to be an Insider and get news on specials for those off us on the inside.

This store is an absolute blessing in Newport. Great brands (Juicy Couture, Aeropostale, Guess, Ralph Lauren) are just a few that I have bought personally. From outdoor patio furniture, to animals, to stationary, rugs, children's toys, and make up. A wonderful store, always getting new inventory and the prices are amazing.

Everyone is always so friendly and I can get all of my Bob's Mill items, and my German breads, nuts, candy, condiments, seasonings. Also gardening and home supplies for the best price anywhere! There's always something unique and interesting too, very fun place to shop. They are also good to to their employees and gave them a raise for covid

Great prices and an amazing selection for the size of the store. You will definitely come out with more than you intended to get on your way in.Go here before going to the big box stores, and then anything you couldn't get, pick up after. Guaranteed to save you quite a bit of dough.

Great store! Great deals most the time. I don't mind paying the extra when have it, I am very low income, but being forced to have 2% automatically tallied on my total is frustrating. Especially when we don't have a lot of store options. The store itself is great and the employees. And I thank them for thier work. I just can't always afford what ocean state is asking at this time.

I love shopping at Ocean State cause I always find a fantastic deal on something, everything is priced low. The staff are always laid back, friendly and helpful! The only issue I have is the bathroom aren’t always clean, sometimes are very, very filthy, which is a huge turn off to a store in my personal opinion.

You find things here that you can't find anywhere else. I looked at Walmart for a plastic plate to make a DYI bird bath. I couldn't find any. Here at Ocean State Job lots I immediately saw exactly what I wanted I didn't even realize that would come with hangers so that I could make a floating bird bath because it's been 95°! So it's so happy with that. The prices are great I looked at other places Walmart of course and Home Depot. The tool items here are particularly well priced. And the gluten-free aisle as well as a variety of international foods are amazing. There's so much here it takes quite a while to go through the entire stores you can find puzzles a reasonable prices. There's seasonal wear, outdoor patio furniture, rugs, towels and sheets and art supplies it just goes on and on. It was it's worth going.

Variety of items for good selection. Got snowshoe's for $39.99 up to 250 lbs. My mom bought a winter coat for $29.99. Good shopping day. Pleasant employees and available for assistance.

I visit this Oceans State weekly due to their low prices and great spice selection. I recommend checking out their pet's section, outdoor section, and dry food section for the best savings. I generally spend about 20 dollars and five minutes of my time a week, and save 10 dollars off my budget.

Great variety of items! So many things I have never seen before in the food section. They employees are always helpful and friendly. Only complaint is when it's busy I don't bother to look around because the lines are sooo long.

Lots of variety, always changing stock, good deals and nice staff. If you are looking to shop where masks are required though avoid going there. I was recently in and there were many shoppers Not wearing masks.
