This review is for customer service.Almost had an emergency while cat sitting a relatives animal. Although I didn't end up going here they were very helpful and understanding. If the owner hadn't had a vet that already knew the animal, I would have had no hesitations in going here.

I believe Dr. Sileo is a competent Veterinarian, and never felt that our dog was receiving substandard care. However, a don’t want veterinary visits to be unpleasant for our dog or ourselves. His practice may be kind to your pet, but there will be times when you will not know. Upon a scheduled appointment for shots and bloodwork we were told that remaining with our dog during these simple procedures was not permitted. When I politely questioned this policy, I was abruptly and unapologetically asked to leave and not come back, without further explanation. I’m a physician and have never and would never treat a patient or their family in this manner. If you’re looking for a veterinarian that will treat you with respect, this practice is not for you.

I know there are a lot of dogs that are scared of the veterinarian, but my dog LOVES going to Pleasant Lake Vet. He cannot wait to get out of the car and runs right in there to be greeted and pet by the staff. He can be overwhelming to other pets because he's a little rambunctious and they are great about letting us know when the coast is clear in the waiting room. I've never had any trouble getting an appointment for unexpected emergencies, they always seem to fit him in. Tim Sileo is an incredibly gentle and kind vet, even when he has to do stuff my dog absolutely hates (touching his ears). Lucky to have such great veterinary care so close by!

What a wonderful veterinary clinic. The staff clearly love their work and know in equal measure how to manage pets and their owners. Our long history of veterinary visits enabled our appreciation of their patience, thoughtfulness, and thoroughness with issues that other vets would simply have brushed aside. They skillfully interpreted our observations and turned them into useful advice and planning. It's a relief to find a good vet.

We had been using Pleasant lake for our dog for the last few years and been happy with there services. 3 weeks our pup was diagnosed with cancer. We had a surgeon preform surgery and when I called to pleasant lake for my dogs general care needs I was told they no longer wanted to provide him care. I was applaud, hurt and confused. My dog is so very sweet, loved the staff but are now refusing to provide regular care for him. I find this unacceptable and unethical. You should be ashamed Dr. Silveo.Reply to your response. I went to a board certified surgeon, you would have known that if you bothered to actually speak to me. I asked for a staple removal (normal vet tech can do this). I also asked for blood work. Again something a primary care vet office can do. So yes shame on you for refusing to provide care. Comfort care for my dog that has cancer. I'm disgusted.

Dr. Tim and the staff at Pleasant Lake Vet have given the best care to our old dog, Misty, to ensure that she is comfortable. Their prices are very fair and they always put the comfort of the animal first. When our dog was in a lot of pain and we thought it may be her end, Dr. Tim gave us an appointment right away and was so compassionate when explaining our options. Misty is doing well, and we are confident that she and all our future animals will have the best care at Pleasant Lake Vet!

Super friendly staff! I felt taken care of and informed at every step. They were great at working with my cat and both of my dogs, all of which have different personalities and comfort levels at the vet. Stanley the lobby cat is a sweet boy and made my day.

We've been going to Pleasant Lake Veterinary Hospital for eleven years except for a very small window when we tried a veterinarian closer to home. We were back to Pleasant Lake for the next appointments. Their staff is compassionate, friendly and efficient. Their veterinarians are top notch and clearly love animals. Our recent issue with one of our cats brought that home when he needed care that necessitated two over-nights. Frequent updates from his veterinarian, including on her day off, set my level of anxiety down several notches.I cannot say enough good for this hospital.

We have been patients at Pleasant Lake Vet Hospital for about a year. Drs. Sileo and Pereira and their assistants have been excellent. At 15.5 years of age, we had to finally let go of our lab mix, which was particularly difficult for our children. I always got the sense they prioritized the well being of our dog and took the time to work with us. We're not ready for another dog just yet, but plan to go to their veterinary office in the future and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet.

We have been going to Pleasant Lake since 2011 and would not trust our dogs with anyone else. We had to put our last little love one to rest and the care the whole staff showed us at this time was restful. They treated us and our pet as if we all were family.

I brought my kitty in for a routine visit, the staff was so sweet and thorough! Dr. Gaff was outstanding! I had a ton of questions and she was so pleasant to come out and answer everything for me and send me a follow up email a few days later to answer additional questions! Most recently I brought in my cat for a teeth cleaning and the staff is seriously the best I've ever experienced! I felt so at ease leaving her there for the day! Thank you all so much!

I have never been treated so unfairly when it’s been in regards to my animals. A few weeks ago I had called and said, due to a family change I was going to help out a family member financially and help him get veterinary care for his animals(two dogs). They were aware they both were new patients and had not seen either one. I had set up an appointment for dog #1 and said in that appointment I will set up appt for dog #2(again, both new patient appointments for an exam and shots) schedule the surgery for my cat that was treated weeks prior on the day of the appointment because I didn’t have my work schedual, day of I was unable to reach family member and though Maby they were meeting me AT the vet office. I got there in the parking lot and he then called me and said he had to walk to the neighbors to call me and his ride hadn’t showed. This was 2:30 my appointment was at 2:45. I called office and had asked if I could bring dog #2 (I had her with me) and then set the appt for dog #1. They said no we have to reschedule because they haven't seen dog#2. I asked “but both are new patients they haven’t seen either one” and said this appointment for today is a “new patient exam”. I was told reception was bad and hung up on. So I went in and apologized for the bad service. Then explained both are new patients just exam and shots and treatment plans if anything comes out of the exam, regardless of cost I would pay in full. I was told to leave and to find a new vet because they didn’t want me as their client. Larger lady behind the counter said I was uncooperative and they don’t want to treat stray dogs that a stranger brings in. I explained I’ve been with them three years and just had both my cats there a few weeks beforehand. and she argued and said no they have no record of me. Nicer woman long brown hair pointed out that she was wrong and did see my records. And larger Woman rolled her eyes said “that’s besides the point we’re not going to see your animals anymore and that I was “late for my appointment anyway and they would have to move on” I said it’s 2:50 now and I’ve been here for 7 min already. I was a couple min early!” I asked if I could talk to the vet or someone in charge. because she obviously was having a bad day. She said “well they don’t want to talk to you” I asked for a call back from them and she said “probably not”. She then proceeded to say “we aren’t comfortable seeing dogs with no records or history and had to throw in “witch Is wrong in its own”. I explained they were UTD on their shots ect just due to family members health I did not have any way to access them. This whole situation could have been handled 100X differently and to put someone with an ego trip “in charge” treating someone who just wants these two animals to get the proper treatment they deserve. Vets are supposed to want to help animals in need, they didn’t seem to want to be bothered. At this point don’t bother calling back, I’ll make sure to highly NOT Recommend this office when people ask. Which is a shame because the vets themselves I have dealt with in the past have been kind, wonderful and caring. I can’t imagine they would allow anyone to be the face of their company be so ugly to a customer.

I brought my cat Captain there to get dental work done and everyone there was very welcoming and professional. I couldn’t ask for a better place to bring my pets. Dr. Sileo took great care of my baby and was very knowledgeable. I was very nervous putting my cat under anesthesia but they put me at ease. You can tell how much they truly care which really means the world when it comes to my family. Would recommend!

Kristi Gaff has been my dog's vet for 13 yrs, just this year she moved to Pleasant Lake Veterinary. I called it didn't take long at all to get in for a shot and nail trim. The front end staff were very pleasant, ( no pun intended) my old lady dog seemed to like it also..

Dr. Sileo of Pleasant Lake Veterinary Hospital is awesome! My family and I were away on vacation in South Carolina with our 13 year old Chihuahua Sofia. She began vomiting and had diarrhea which lasted for 24 hours. We became alarmed and called Pleasant Lake Hospital. Dr. Sileo was amazing. He not only examined her via zoom he took the time to call several hospitals in the area until he found a hospital that would see us immediately. Sofia is only 4 lbs and her age was a concern. He not only found a hospital he spoke directly to the Doctor and gave specific instructions as to what tests and care to give her. They took us right in and wasted no time. Sofia was back to her self within 24 hours! We love you Dr. Sileo!

A lovely, welcoming, friendly, happy Veterinarian practice in small-town New Hampshire! I have never had a bad experience with any of the 25 or so different animals I've taken here over the years, and my animals have never shown any fear at going to this clinic (which is even more important than my own experience -- the sensibilities of the animal needing care is paramount to my choosing a veterinarian!), and I know dozens of people who all feel the same way. If you're new to the area, or just looking to change Animal Doctors, please give Pleasant Lake your consideration. I have always recommended it to friends, family, strangers, everyone, and I will continue to do so! I love Dr. Mona Rooney ~ She is OUTSTANDING with my fur-babies and just as outstanding dealing with us lowly humans as well! In my 40+ years of experience, I've often found veterinarians that are EITHER extremely good with the animals OR extremely good with the public/humans, and rarely have I found a vet that is equally proficient in both. For one to be able to communicate effectively to the pet-parent what is going on with your animal AND be able to put the animal at ease, that's true talent. I truly love taking my animals here.

We have been clients since 2000 and a total of 7 dogs. I think that says it all. Even with all the changes of doctors and staff this is THE Best. We come in from Webster so 40 mile round trip is worth the care medical care and affection for our "children" that we receive from EVERYONE there.

I have been going to Pleasant Lake for years. They are compassionate and kind and loving to animals of all sizes. We found our way to them when my late pit bull hated having her nails done and other vets had to sedate her. That was too much for me. After the first visit, I knew that we found a great place, no more sedation! They took care of her and my two old cats when it was time for their passing with so much compassion for them and for ME!I now take my pit to them and they have an entrance in the back so we don't have to run into any other 4 legged creature (she loves people, not other animals).They are very accomodating and I highly recommend them!
