Incredibly understaffed! I went to checkout with a lot of groceries and they had ONE cashier, an elder gentlemen working very slow. I felt so bad for him. He had no sacker, or help. On a busy Saturday none the less!!! It’s awful how they were treating him. There were so many people using self checkout with tons of groceries. Not coming back here again!! This is employee abuse!!!! I hope the elder gentleman finds a better employer.

I really like Shaw's. I rarely have a problem and if I have had a problem, they more than made it right, I use both in store and have tried the pick up and go. I go at least 2X a week. Always helpful employees! Four stars instead of five because 1) the bakery counter is often unstaffed and there are tons of already prepared goods you cannot access 2) They ran out of eggnog about early December both 2022 and 2023. 3) The dairy products often have a super short shelf life remaining so you need to check it's not a day or two. 4) The prepared food section is not to my liking.

I’ve had a couple go’s with the order pickup and in store. Recently there are some issues with substitutions but everyone was very accommodating and friendly to resolve any issues. I will continue to choose this store over others for its pricing and easy service. Thank you to the team! I highly recommend this grocery store.

I have been to this store twice lately and have experienced extreme rudeness firstly from someone on the deli counter, and now today from the woman serving on the seafood counter. I politely asked for just under a pound of haddock. It was over the pound. She abruptly said “ What exactly do you want?” I replied that I had said under a pound and this wasn’t what was on the scale. She came back at me saying “ Well, just how much DO you want?” I said OK around 2/3 at which time which she cut a piece which was under the pound. Should have been easy but she made out as if I was being difficult. I was polite and expected the same. What is wrong with customer service in this store?? No-one acts as if they want to be there and it certainly shows. Next time I am in Nashua I will be using a different store. I don’t need to be around rude people

This was my first visit to Shaw's. I easily found everything on my list. Wide selection at varying prices. The cashier went out of his way to make me feel welcome.

Edit: Now one star...Went to pick a couple things up today and not surprised I come across moldy food here. Even after being told that they would look into it nothing has changed. Do not shop here...Original post: Decent selection, however not very good about keeping up with their expiring food. Just bought milk from there on the 21st which unfortunately I was in a rush and couldn't check the date before I left. The milk expired on the day that I bought it which this is not the first time this has happened. A few weeks ago I bought yogurt from this Shaws which had expired the week before I bought it. Very disappointed.

My shop online and pick up in store experience at this store was not pleasant.First, they did not tell me a few of my main items (expensive ones) are out of order, just saying it is ready to pick up, so I wasted my time going there for the package that is missing half of the items.Second, I have indicated no substitution, but I got a message saying onsale shrimp (about 6$/lb) is substituted with a 15$/lb shrimp, when I checked in and got charged by default. If I did not decline right away, I will be stuck with it.ON top of it, when I was trying to work with stuffs and store managers, everyone claimed they are new to the store, can not figure out how to resolve the issues, or can think of a path to fix the problem in the long run.This is clearly not the store to go again!!

Not a regular Shaws customer (Market Basket girl here) but got charged 10x over today at the Daniel Webster location for the 2 items I bought, and only realized when I checked my bank statement later at home. No one answered when I called customer service (I'm assuming staffing issues) so had to make the drive back. I was ready for a hassle because the self checkout I had used wouldn't give me a receipt so I brought the bread and meat with me. Ronnie and Shayleen at customer service are the kind of employees Shaws should be paying triple the amount of whatever they are making. They both quickly confirmed the register hadn't cleared my transaction and the man after me got free food that I payed for. They gave me back my money in cash and could not have been more friendly and pleasant despite both of them being obviously under staffed and busy. Are you listening Shaws? Give Ronnie and Shayleen a raise for managing your store so wonderfully!

Very neat and organized. Most prices if reduced would quadruple or more the number of interested and frequent to become customers. This is just a constructive criticism. Management, take notice, it would potentially pay off the try.

_Wendy_ who works at the customer service desk is AMAZING! She is THE single reason why I am giving 5 stars. Would have been at most 3 stars if not for her. If you want to experience what the real, old-fashioned customer service is (that doesn't really exist anymore except for such rare gems) -- she is the person, and a very nice person at that.I tried buying Powerball tickets from the vending machine back when the jackpot was 2 billions. The machine was malfunctioning and ate a big dollar bill ($20). HR manager Cindy who was on the floor next to me and saw the whole thing happen, and even tried to punch the buttons herself, told me they have no control over the machine and she has no key to open it, that only the State controls it. She had overall "I don't care" attitude even though I am a loyal customer of 17 years.Turns out that was a lie. Not only THEY are the ones who empty the machine, Cindy is one of the few people who actually has access to its key. She just didn't feel like doing it herself.I had to make another trip the next day, waste my time and gas, but Wendy helped me out and was super nice and welcoming. She treats you like family and goes extra mile to resolve any issues - a real hard worker! She is the real deal! She is the reason why I will keep spending thousands of dollars at Shaws!Wendy for the Win!

I found everything I was looking for inside. I have to say I got the pre-made meals for dinner and they were so good! I got broccoli and chicken alfredo with ziti. So good and very flavorful, not mushy and cooked perfectly. I wish I would have known because I would have grabbed more of them! I have gotten their sushi before too and it is fresh and delicious. They have cut fruit that is reasonably priced too. The flowers are like they are right from a florist. There are multiple arrangements that are also very reasonably priced.

Be careful of this store. Clipped two deals on the app, went to the register, and surprise it only rang up one of the deals. I knew what my total should be. They tried to clip me for $10. Don't trust this place.

I generally shop at Shaws for their sales only (probably their worst type of customer). They have amazing sale items but I find everything else priced higher than competitors. Stores are generally well kept and less crowded than other stores.

You know, it's a big grocery store, and a little pricey. The important part is that the car broke down, and as soon as employees noted there was an issue they were trying to help. Service is their best product.

This Shaw's is much like most Shaw's locations. Very good selection of meats and veggies. Always fresh. Very clean. I have started going to this location quite regularly as other local supermarkets are busting at the seams with customers, so parking there is impossible. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but that's why I like it! Like all Shaw's stores, the prices are a bit steep, especially when compared to Market Basket stores in the area. But the quality is excellent.

Their grocery pick-up service is on point. Super convenient and way less expensive than Instacart. This location especially is one of the kindest, cleanest, and we'll organized Shaw's I've been to in a long time.

Their prices on meats and things for the kids are mad good!!! This week chicken quarters and drumsticks were 87cents a pound! That's crazy good especially with all that's been going on in the world you can stock up that deep freezer like I do!! Their App is great!! Lots of good stuff there and coupons galore and opportunities to get free stuff!! I cant complain and my savings work no matter what state I shop in as long as it's part of Starmarket so I save no matter where I'm at!!!

Used to shop Shaws for many years, but they tended to be more expensive.Hannaford locally just doesn't have anything, shelves are sparce, it's hit or miss, even simple things like carrots, bananas, or worse milk, goes missingThe past few visits to shaws was presently surprising, very clean, produce looked good and the things you expect to be there were. So she's signing up for rewards and guess we'll shop Shaws or Market Basket (tends to be very crowded).

Shaws: East Wareham, MADecided to get a few groceries and didn't realize several frozen/cold items were not available for purchase due to loss of power due to a storm. One of the produce workers was extremely negative, rude and rolled her eyes at me when I admitted to the above.Rather than professionally assist or express her concerns about consumers purchasing and eating fridged food that had no power for two hours, she preferred to mock.Admittingly, I was an idiot for not noticing that the fridged items had no cooling for a few hours. But, there were no signs posted anywhere, no employee suggested that these items be returned and other consumers were still allowed to shop, purchase and depart with goods that may not have had cooling for a number of hours.I was baffled that although SHAWS stated that they did not want consumers to get sick from items that had no refrigeration for a few hours, their doors remained opened, items were not blocked off, signs were not posted or present, cashiers still scanned, charged, bagged and permitted these items for purchase. And most disappointing was the the pack of communication from employees and preference to belittle consumers ignorance rather than to professionally inform.I limited my dry goods purchase because I did not want to financially support my recent experience.

This supermarket is one that sells mostly name brand items. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s a decent size and has all the sections you’d expect a supermarket to have. If you're looking for exoitc produce or ingredients you’ll have to go elsewhere. The staff, many of whom have been there for a while, are quite nice and always seem ready to help you with your needs. Those working behind the deli and seafood counters always have an answer to questions you may have. Overall a nice experience.This Shaws does have a self checkout. The issue is that currently this is the 3rd time they have brought it back as they have taken them away twice before. Also I believe they have 7 registers but you will only ever see 2 registers open at one time causing long lines during busy hours. Also, the pandemic seems to have hit Shaw's produce hard. Exercise caution when buying fruit that is on sale. Case in point, mangos were on sale last month. After cutting into them they were brown on the inside. Like really brown.Lastly, smoking. I swear every employee is a smoker. You can’t enter the building without inhaling a nasty auroma of cigarette smoke. Seven out of 10 visits you will enter this Shaws with at least 2 employees smoking next to the entrance. Furthermore the side of the building has an ocean of cigarette butts just littering the grass. I would recommend this Shaws despite its issues.

Stopped in to use the restroom, which was gross, but I am sure that has something to do with the general public. The store is well kept, clean, and offers competitive pricing. Their produce is worth checking out and have they have a wonderful selection. The employees seem very nice and one in particular has outstanding customer service.

They always mess up the custom cake order. I tried this place two time and both times they either messed up the name or cake type . The manager didn’t care and simply said take it or leave it.

**Update**The morning frustration continues. Now after 8 am to receive eyerolling + large reluctance to opening a register for me. I had to ask twice and wait.I already spoke to both the asst. manager and store manager both over the past few weeks. (Store manager wasn’t very receptive nor seemed to care)Some rules from corporate to not open registers. And there is a cashier hanging out, in this case 2, hanging around the self checkout.*Update* changing my rating from 4 to 2. While most of the staff is still friendly, there is a new rule for those early shoppers. You have to do self checkout. Walked up with my usual cartload and was directed to the self checkout. What a mess and took me at least 2x the time.So I guess they don’t value their customers enough to have someone at the register. Btw - the cashier is there and just hanging around the self checkout.Hopefully they get rid of the ridiculous rule. They’ll lose more money by ticking off their regulars.*original review *Friendly and helpful staff. Great produce selection and most of the time pretty decent quality. Other selection pretty good as well. We've been shopping here over 10 years.

A very clean, well-stocked, and well-maintained store with a friendly staff. It's also an easy walk for anyone living in the Royal Crest Estates apartment complex right behind it.
