Recently bought our little Shiffon (Brussels Griffon/ Shitzu mix) pup here! The team in this location was so helpful, welcoming, friendly, and professional! After purchasing our pup, they called us a few days afterwards to make sure everything was going well. I’ve had family members but most of their dogs from here. Never had an issue and dogs lived a very long time. Highly recommend this location! Will definitely buy our pups next sibling from here for sure!

My mother and I were staying in Nashua for a flower show at the Courtyard Marriott’s event center and had to get some snacks. After hitting the market basket we happened to see the sign that said “puppies and kittens” on the window and decided to check it out!The moment we got inside we were instantly greeted kindly by staff who offered to show us any dog we fancied. We were just noticing them and were too overwhelmed by the CUTE to reply, we just came inside. I immediately took out my phone to take videos for my kids and boyfriend (it’s been YEARS since I’ve seen this many puppies in one place!). They all seemed frisky and happy to see us (except the one sleepy Yorkie who couldn’t care less about us). We saw a beautiful wiener dog, all black!! A few adorable yorkies and one excited black Pomeranian who literally dances when you get close!!!I wanted them all, obviously. Unfortunately I’m not rich and also I know there’s tons of animals rotting away in shelters.That’s the ONLY reason I’m giving this place a four is because I think selling pure breeds in cages like this is a bit… distasteful. However, they looked well cared for, healthy and happy. I’m sure the staff loves them and takes excellent care of them. It’s fun to look! Thanks for the kindness!Note: there was also a beautiful gray parrot (see video) in the back with lots of “keep your fingers to yourself” notes. He seems to be king of his domain and very healthy as well.

A year ago I bought my puppy there we named him Kahlua he's an amazing puppy he was very healthy when I brought him home from there very well taken care of if I want another pet I'd go there and buy it no mistakes made whatsoever

Nothing like the cold pet stores I grew up with.We were so impressed with the staff and the care they give to their puppies. Its not overly bright and commercialized. Its about what is important. Making sure their pups are well cared for, hugged and ready for a forever home. They know so much about the dogs. They are careful not to overstimulate them but at the same time make sure they are familiar with being touched, held and loved. The staff are very knowledgeable with dog breeds and care. I would not hesitate to get a pup, a fish, some animal food from this wonderful haven for puppies.

This place was the best decision I ever made. Bought my beautiful Shih Tzu and she has been the best pup ever she is definitely the cutest, my son named her Ava Coco. She is our world. Such a clean pet shop, welcoming staff very friendly and so helpful. Very pleased with them. Our Ava is very spoiled and comes everywhere with us. She loves naps with mama. The puppies seem happy and healthy. The employees are kind and social. We were in the right place at the right time when my son was a “helper” and held all the pups one at time while the employees were cleaning the pups kennels. They told him about each puppy and proper care for them at different stages of their life. It was a great experience that he always talks about.

I bought a teddy bear female puppy that is the smartest, healthiest little girl pup.I’ve had many dogs from both breeders and shelters.My puppy is everything I had hoped for. They were very thorough that I understood what to watch for and how to feed her. What to bring to vet and such. My Gigi is amazing !

Our family recently Welcomed this adorable Little guy into our family. After visiting many pet stores and breeders we meet Archie and the incredible staff at Family pet and aquarium. The facility is spotless as are all the animals. The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. They went above and beyond with their service knowledge and answered all of our many questions. We will definitely be back for supplies and just to visit these wonderful ladies that truly love these pets. Thanks to them we found the perfect fit. He’s happy and healthy and already learning new tricks and commands.

The puppies look happy, alert and healthy. Great Staff members that you can simply have a conversation with about the pups and that will help assist you. I respect how they're really strict about keeping your distance from the pups as it is cold/flu season. I had recently stopped at this pet store in Manchester and I was truly upset with how they had the dogs crated behind glass they weren't as alert and it just didn't feel like a welcoming place. I feel it was a different environment here at Family Pet & Aquarium. My sister in law bought a puppy from Family Pet & Aquarium few years ago and he is in great health. Overall great experience.

After applying for a puppy at so many local shelters we couldn't get one because we were first time dog owners and we ended up getting out Bichon puppy from them and we believe that was the best decision we made. He has been the best thing that happened to us during the pandemic and he has been a great puppy with very good temperament, gentle natured and we are very happy to have him as part of our family. Our dog is a year old now and so far he is doing great.

All the puppies have toys and beds and are playing all day.Fish tanks are clean and they offer on Sundays buy one get one on the fish.A definite must place to go for pets and professional advice.

5 STARS isn’t enough for this place. I don’t know what some of the bad reviews are for, considering the reviewers aren’t even from this state .. but I personally think this store is awesome and the staff is incredibly helpful! I purchased an Australian Shepard a few months ago and my boy is such a love! They made the financing process quick and easy! For anyone who claimed these dogs are from puppy mills are ignorant because I was shown a list of breeders they work with and picked my sweet pup personally! :) maybe the others were just denied financing who knows, but don’t listen to grumpy wannabe influencers and make your own mind! One of the few mom and pop shops left that help bring families happiness with their pets and I am so grateful I found them! Support local business!

I anticipated a stinky, terrible pet store like so many are, and was so pleasantly surprised!! I walked in and was so happy to see immaculate puppy crates, all happily playing, smelling amazing and all looked extremely happy. I am mainly a fish person (though our dog is the best animal I have ever had) and found the tanks very clean, a great variety, and was absolutely stunned at how inexpensive their prices were! Employees were very friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed highly ethical. I would recommend people to check them out!

Dont step foot in here if you have any care about animal health. As an avid rodent owner coming in here felt like stepping into a hell — glass fish tanks with seeds and foods not meant for rats with the tanks being cleaned with bleach. Not to mention the rabbits being kept in insanely small cages, with two rabbits to a roughly 2 foot by 4 foot cage, and stacked on top of each other. Go anywhere else because at least at a chain they don’t pretend to care about animals.

Got him September of 2020, he is the best dog and super intelligent. Was a little costly but understood as it was hard to get puppies during the pandemic. Couldn’t love this little boy more. Staff even called multiple time after I picked him up to make sure he was adapting well. Would definitely get another puppy here!

I'm a big believer in adopting not shopping so this store wasn't my favorite. Aquarium section was just okay. Rodents were clearly sick. But they let me hold a puppy so they get an extra star from me. I'm definitely going back to play with the puppy's but I'm not comfortable supporting a puppy mill so I'm not going to buy anything.Edit: Puppy mills are any breeder that puts profit before the well-being and genetics of the dog.They don't have to be a huge factory. They can be back yard breeders with no certificates and or a lack of extensive genetic testing or experience. Also no ethical poodle breeder is going to give you a non fixed puppy so you can breed it to make mutts that you can sell for ten grand. That's ridiculous! What makes a poodle mix so much more valuable then a shelter dog? I will never understand that mindset.Adopt don't shop.

I visited Family Pet & Aquarium - Nashua today and spoke with Dylan. He was very informative and patient, I asked questions about the puppies and I could feel the passion he has for the animals there. They prepare the puppies very well for their future homes and families, giving you all the information about an individual puppies feeding routines, free nail trimming coupons and parent info. I would recommend visiting this store and asking about their puppies if you are searching for a furry 4-legged baby.

I give it 2 stars because the puppies are extremely over priced. I can get the same puppy at a humane society for less and it has more shots from the vet and other things. These puppies are in small cages and have hardly any room to run or move. Some of the employees have been extremely rude when I have been there. I go to give these puppies love because they don't seem to get any. This place needs to be looked at by the health department and more. I'm so sorry puppies.

I love this store so much . Extremely friendly staff. Very clean and organized. Questions answered with tons of educational facts. Its nice to see a pet store actually love its animals and want to engage and play with them. Overall this is one of the nicest pet stores I've been to in years.

Had such adorable puppies and wanted to take them home but they were all over $3k for just one puppy. For certain breeds that makes sense but for the rest that didn't make sense. The starting rate of each is $3k and depending on how long they've been there for their price decreases but not by much

This place is amazing! The dogs are allowed to come out of their cages, and they let the humans hold them! The prices are a bit high, but puppies are usually over the roof of expensive. The staff are amazing, and bend backwards for their customers to have a good time! I highly recommend bringing children here to see the puppies, and adopting from this place. The staff are educated and share information on the animals and knowledge. I'd rate 100 stars if I could.

I have purchsed two puppies within about a month of each other. Heidi helped my husband and I the first time. Bella, a beautiful little black pomeranian. Healthy and happy and a little spitfire. We love and adore her so much!We originally were looking for a maltese. I asked them to take my phone number and to plz call if they got one in. In the meantime we were enjoying our new family member, Bella. Then we got a call from Carol! They had a maltese coming in! Between the little time of him, (ZIggy), being in my arms was a killer! But they did such a wonderful job keeping us up to date on him while we waited.Needless to say he is beautiful just like Bella and the perfect addition to our household. They both get along so wonderfully with the occasional spat over a toy lolThe people who work there are wonderful and so attentive to the animals needs and their customers. The shop is small but very well organized and most importantly, CLEAN! The puppies are all happy and full of energy. If I could afford more puppies, this would be my go to place, i cannot say enough about everyone I met and the shop itself. You can tell there is true dedication in these employees.My best wishes to Family Pet & Aquarium and all the wonderful employees, I cannot thank you enough for our new family of furbabies. Our home is complete now and we are so grateful and happy!To make a very long story short, I HIGHLY recomend them to everyone, you won't be disappointed!

All animals cages are always so clean not matter what time of day I walk in there. The puppies look so healthy and happy. One of the only pet stores that still sell puppies that I actually like. No puppy is there long and half the time they are bought before they even arrive. This store makes sure the puppies are healthy before even displaying them or allowing them to go to a home. A vet comes in to check the puppies. Everyone working there is extremely nice, whenever I go it's a gentle man and older lady who are super sweet and helpful. You feel very welcome there. They only allow 18+ to stand up and hold the dogs, any younger get to hold the puppies while sitting on the floor to help prevent injuries to the puppies if they seem to wiggle out of your arms, which I find to be a great idea. They really care for their animals. All mice, rat, Guinea pig and rabbit cages are clean, and I mean spotless. The crates that hold the puppies are pretty large compared to their sizes. The cages also have pads underneath and those are always clean they change them frequently.Overall this place is amazing. Whenever I go up into Nashua and I'm near this pet store, I have to stop in. I cant help but find myself drawn to this place. Even just to look, it's a warming feeling inside.

My name is Keshia and I purchased a baby Pom. The service an patient the two lady had where amazing. I arrived kinda late right before closing to pick up my pup. I hate being that customer that comes in right before closing. I know first hand when working and it’s close to closing and just wanting to get home. They made me feel welcomed they teamed up to work together. One handle paper work one handled sales part. I appreciate there patience, team efforts, understanding, how nice they were. Best Experience and highly recommend. All the pups where beautiful and cared for well.Thank you very much family pets an aquarium for making it possible to find a baby Pom!!! With such great service

I bought my chihuahua from them. I visited everyday for a week before I was able to bring him home ( state law). Each visit I was pleased how kind the staff was with me my dog as well as other puppies and customers.I brought my new puppy to my vet and was given a clean bill of health. So happy with the total process.My puppy is 6 months now and doing great.

Family pet has very healthy, clean, and well cared for dogs, they have paperwork that PROVES no dog is from a puppy mill, places like bailing out Benji are posting inaccurate information to be misleading, if you research the "list" of puppymills this place uses 90% of them aren't around anymore, have since been closed and no longer breeding. The long term health of these dogs also proves they aren't from puppymills. Ive seen comments about health issues claimed to have come from this store but these people never mention the 2 week health garentee they have in place to take care of the issues that may arise, on the pet stores bill I should add, these issues are also due to stress of moving houses and are completely normal to see such as runny poo or its due to neglegence on the new owners part not doing full research before making the purchase. This place is amazing, they help you through your whole dogs life, I've bought several animals from here and have never seen anything detrimental and if I did run into any issues the pet store is more then happy to help me until the issue is fixed. Be sweet, be kind and do your research before buying the animals and you will see just how amazing this store is. They aren't being rude for enforcing the rules, they are trying to keep the puppies safe and these nasty comments about the rude staff are most definitely from people who didn't wanna be told the rules and didn't wanna follow them.

A well run and clean pet shop selling a large variety of pets and supplies. The very experienced and loyal staff help assure families keep coming in, having a fun time, and maybe taking home a new pet. They've been doing it for more than one generation.
