I always go to the dog house after a long swim. I've never gotten their actual hot dog but (when they have it) I always get the bratwurst or kielbasa & only on the homemade roll. It's worth the few extra cents they charge, I promise and always with sauerkraut, onions, and mustard. I love to bring visitors here and meet up with friends. The dog house in the summer hits the spot 🙌🏾 thanks!Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly w/ picnic tables and umbrellas. Ice cream is also sold here.

I have lived in the area for many years but this was my first time here. I have definitely missed out over the course of many years. The hot dogs were outstanding. The chili was beyond what I expected in flavor.My 5 year old daughter never eats the hot dog and buns together but she devoured it together. She said is was amazing. The homemade roll was soft and delicious. Cooked and grilled just right.They have a great little gift shop with various commodities from around the world. Different candies and snacks. They have a bunch of knick knacks and novelties that are beautiful. During Christmas they open up and Santa comes to visit. It's great to bring your little ones. I highly recommend this place

Such a simple place with great customer service. Hot dogs come in 3 different sizes with our without homemade bread. I recommend the homemade bread. It had a great texture and flavor with the hotdog. I tried the sweet relish while my son went for bbq with bacon bits. Both were great options. I would highly recommend to anyone driving through or want to visit a fun place in the summer. I did not try the ice cream, but I did buy the blueberry crisp. It was warm and had the right amount of tart and sweetness I look for in a crisp.

Remember why I never go here, rude service, pencil thin salty hot dogs ,the homemade buns which I paid an extra 60cents each for were like chewy doughy subrolls that the hotdogs were lost in, along with skimpy toppings if they had them ,everything loose no bag or boxes to put in and act like shame on you for asking oh and get out of the way ,Next Customer! If your looking for phenomenal hot dogs try George's Coney Island in Worchester or Scotty dog in Beverly MA both worth the drive!

This May Be the best hot dog stand ever.This lady and her family have run it since forever.Really really good hot dogs, and much much more. Great homemade rolls and sides. You absolutely positively must stop here.It is seasonal.

Cute little hot dog shack! Prices are very reasonable! Lots of outdoor space to sit & relax. My puppy was very excited to get his hot dog & would like to go back !

Have enjoyed the food here for years, but after this last experience, I won't go back. The large middle-aged, dark-haired man who waited on us was unbelievably rude. We greeted him with smiles and asked him how he was. He replied with,"Not good!" and followed up with a tirade about how he didn't like where we parked our car. I was stunned to silence, so my daughter just looked at me and suggested we go somewhere else. As we were leaving, he actually left the building and walked out to watch us as we drove away! Do not patronize this place!

THE best hot dog stand around. Regular, 10", or 12" with choice of handmade toppings and side salads. Oh and you have to get the homemade buns which are toasted to perfection.

Horrible absolutely horrible experience . Not sure if the man was the owner or a worker but he was so incredibly rude. He was a rather robustly built man with dark hair. We stood at the counter waiting for this worker person who was outside on the phone. When he came back to the counter he began verbally abusing us yelling “what I’m not allowed to talk on the phone?”when we had said nothing. I just said “let’s go” to my husband and this man proceeded to come out and take pictures of our license plate. Horrible experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Too bad. I’d been wanting to try this place for a while. But will not ever recommend it to anyone. Would not even give him even one star.but didn’t have a no star option. Almost called the police because I felt so threatened by him. Horrible!

We stopped at the dog house for our first time ever. The hot dogs were very tasty and the homemade rolls were excellent! I really liked the red sweet relish on my dog which was a great choice. Pasta salad was a yummy addition, the spices made it extra tasty. We enjoyed a waffle ice cream cone after as well. There is a wonderful gift shop next to the dog house with some very cool imported gifts. We will visit again!!

An old school hot dog shed on the side of the road in Milford, NH. I LOVED IT. Quick and friendly service at The Dog House. Hot dogs come with the traditional toppings as well as kraut and chili. Wide variety of drinks are available as well as chips and several home baked desserts. The parking lot is pretty large compared to the building and has many tree shaded and umbrella'd picnic tables. Also Adirondack chairs to enjoy your dog. Really enjoyed the whole experience. As a self identified hot dog lover will definitely return here the next time I am in the area.

Delicious hot dogs at a super affordable price. The homemade buns are a must get that are only available with the 10" and 12" dogs. The buttery grilled rolls really steal the show here. I bring my two kids and get 3 10" hot dogs for the the trio of us that rings up to about 12-13 bux. Everyone leaves satisfied. Also has ample parking and outdoor seating.

I'm not a huge hot dog fan, but they are good here.I can see where people think she's rude, but I don't think that's it. I think it's a typical New England attitude. She has smiled and been friendly the twice I've visited. What I absolutely love are the 2 cute gift sheds. So charming. Plenty of parking and seating. Worth visiting

Simply the Best Hot Dogs EVER! This place is a must stop! The owner and her family have been doing this since the 80's The Homemade Hot Dog Rolls are to DIE for, toasted and buttered. Foot long Hot dogs ! All the toppings are first class good! A must try is the blueberry crisp! Amazing stuff. As if it could not get any better NEW this year Homemade Ice Cream. The strawberry cheese cake ice cream is off this planet. Must also agree with other reviewer the baked beans are the best. Don't worry if the line is long or the lot is full these folks know how to move and the line goes quickly. Give yourself a treat to great food and service today at the Dog House! They are only open Thursday to Sunday seasonal. I almost forgot the Cole Slaw........... nothing like it ever on this earth.

Who ever was working at this place Sunday 8/28 needs an attitude adjustment. We went with a small group and ended up not even placing an order since this woman acted like we were such an inconvenience. Short huffy puffy tone. Mind you there was no one behind us and didn’t seem busy. I’m always one to give the benefit of the doubt but yeah we left. Hate leaving such a low review for a small business but customer service is very important especially at a cute fun little place like that.

Every time I've come here this month they've been closed? The hours online say their open but I've had no luck and can't find anything, am I missing something?I've been here before and it's been great.I just want a hotdog :(

They have the best hot dogs with lots of topping options to choose from. You can also get a burger if you choose. For dessert you can have some ice cream or a homemade whoppie pie or even some homemade cobbler. They have 3 different size dogs to choose from, regular, 10 inch and 12 inch. You can get them on regular rolls or homemade rolls. Only open from Thursday to Sunday so get your fill on the weekend.

Hot dogs, toppings, and homemade rolls are great but the hot dog to bread ratio is WAY off, which is a bit frustrating because there's so much overhang of the foot long dogs. I would much prefer the dog was thicker and shorter or better yet, offer a double dog option but longer rolls are needed if foot long.
