Shelves were well stocked,but know your prices before shopping here. Some items ,not the best quality. Some grocery items, we're a cheaper than grocery store,name brands we're the same as grocery store,or a few cents less. They do have a great selection of everything you could possibly need. Definitely worth the visit,but plan on spending lots of time there.

Customer service at register. You should not leave your register to go on break/lunch when another casher has a long line call for back up when back up arrives then leave for your break/lunch. Waited for 20mins cause the poor lady needed a price check and the other one left her hanging.

I liked this place until I got to checkout. The old woman that asked for my phone number and was super offended when I said I don’t wish to give it. She then proceeded to lecture me, saying I will be missing out in all kinds of savings. I was in two minds whether to tell her to stuff the things I was buying up her fudge starfish and walk away. She made me feel like a piece of doggie doo that she just stepped in, and I can only surmise that was because I had a ‘foreign’ accent. I object to being semi-forced to provide my contact details, particularly given how much phone spam there is here, and she had no right to judge me for declining. No wonder the place was empty.

I had the cashier names Tessa. She was nice in the beginning until she took my money which she ripped out of my hand. My friend handed her the item and she chucked the hanger and made a loud noise. She was not nice after I handed her the money. I am not happy with the way she talks to me and took my money.

I have always found the staff here to be more then courteous, polite and helpful! I am constantly amazed by the food items that I find here that I can never seem to find anywhere afterwards. Its almost like a treasure hunt every time I am here. Also, cashier #78986 is a really good kid. You are doing a good thing in collecting money for Ukraine. I cried when I got to my car yesterday.

Love the variety of merchandise that can be found here. They gave an especially good assortment of gluten free foods and a vast collection of Bob's Red Mill products. If you shop here fairly regularly, it's good to become an Insider to take advantage of great savings and Crazy Deals.

This really is a store that you have to visit. You just never know what you'll see here. Sure, a lot of items are on the cheap side but some are just inexpensive. We were able to find serving dishes for plating food which makes for easier campsite dinners.

I recently quit due to the disrespect I received from an associate Larry of the store 412. I have a medical condition where I have a high heart rate, so I have a doctor’s note stating I can have an Apple Watch to monitor my heart rate. I constantly get high heart rate notifications, so I’d look at my watch often just to dismiss the notification. Larry threatened to give me a final written and the previous time he yelled at me for looking at my watch I offered to show him evidence that I do receive high heart rate notifications constantly, but he refused. When I quit, he said “Oh that’s perfect! I’ll mark you as non rehire-able and you can’t work for the company again. I’ll make sure to let everyone know.” He was very rude to me and I have told my friends and family about it and his response. None of us are going to be shopping there anymore and the company has lost good customers and a hardworking employee due to the rudeness and disrespect of Larry.

The aisles are tight and it always looks like people have ransacked the place. Maybe better lighting and organization of stuff will make it seem less busy? Either way, prices are spot on. Of you see it in there for a good price, buy it immediately. They don't keep a regular stock of items.

Lots of great deals at discount prices. Probably the largest selection of Bob's Red Mill products I've seen outside of big health store. Lots of name brand skin care products too. Think of it as a next level Dollar store.

I have found Ocean State Job Lot employees to be very friendly and helpful. I always find what I need and usually at a friendly price. Today's purchases were at a 25% discount because they honored first responders, emergency services. My husband is a paramedic. It's a wonderful store to have in our community.So grateful,MAG

I manage a retail store so I can truly appreciate what other retail workers go through and how hard they work. So when I say how incredibly impressed I was at the neatness, organization, and friendliness of the staff at this particular location I know what I am talking about. I give very high marks to this store. It was very clean, well stocked and every staff person I spoke with was helpful and polite. Best Ocean State store I have ever visited and I go to every one that I have seen in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Great job!!

Designed like most OSJL's, this location is more spacious than many I have been in. The aisles are more organized too. The deals are good and the service is okay. They had some options that the other locations were out of stock on, so that was a plus as well.

Staff is always kind and helpful. You can get some brand bame items at great prices. They have vegan/gluten free (I am neither, but know they have great options) and healthy foods that are not available other places. It is all dry food, no refrigeration systems.
