Every once in while you drive by site that you had no idea of the history. No idea how the ski jumpers got to the top of hill, but it would have been fun to watch the flying...!

Nansen Wayside Park is an awesome stop right along RT 16 outside Berlin, NH. Every time I drive by I stop to see the "Big Nansen" ski jump. There aren't a lot of ski jumps around these days so it's awesome to see one up close! There's work underway to fix it back up to it's former glory and make it operational again!

Nansen Wayside Park is a piece of history from my youth. We had a blast there watching all age groups ski jumping. I would recommend everybody go to this event.

We love wayside. Not the best spot if you're looking to catch a fish but the kids love to play there and there is a ton of room for dogs to run. Nice little picnic spot too!

You have an open field for children also has a boating dock. You can have a picnic there. Has grills and picnic tables there to sit down at. Has a wonderful view of the Nansen Ski Jump.

I drove one of the high school teams to compete on this jump since the 1980s. It was cold, below zero F when we finished. The kids and spectators all had a great time. If you go, bring extra warm layers, and maybe a chair.

Not much to it. The view of the old ski jump is fascinating, though. There is another parking area though, somewhere nearby across the road, it's by the river and maybe a little walking trail.

It is a Nostalgic place to take a break, walk your pet. Vist n picnic and wade in the river.You can also launch a Small boat to fish or just sight see.

Big open field with a gazebo with picnic tables. There are horseshoe pits out there and a place to have a bonfire and even swim on a hot day.
