Honestly if there were showers I would go 5 stars here. The sites are private, it is beautiful and the staff friendly. I heard the pavilion used to be showers, that would be a great revamp IMO. We loved the fire tower and walking along the snow mobile trails. The pit toilet was cleaner than some modern facilities we've used at NE state parks.

A fun and easy place to get a good high view of the north country. During the summer, you can park less than half a mile from the fire tower, which is very sturdy and well maintained, letting you see all of the surrounding knobs and all the way to Berlin. Unfortunately, many of the cross country skiing trails aren't cleared in the summer, so you can only walk along the main routes

Visited here during the winter months. There is a well established array of xc ski trails and open views of the surrounding mountains. The warming hut (building) will allow you ski for hours and take a breather from the cold. This can also be a nice place to walk your dog for responsible pet owners who pick up after them. Not too crowded and plenty of parking. Note there are few geocaches in the area as well.

Very clean and well taken care of park. We stayed in one of the yurts and it was well worth it. The fire tower had fantastic views. Campsites were quiet and private with easy access to water, trash and bathrooms.Playground: Old school swing set. No frills.Restrooms: Very clean and well taken care of.Dog-friendliness: Pets allowed in leashes.Picnic area: Picnic tables near the fire tower and swing set. It is what you make it.

Went with a friend and had a blast! Beautiful drive to the park, camp sites were just separate enough that we had breathing space. Staff was friendly. And we had full bars which was nice as two single females

This camp ground is amazing, as was the staff. We stayed in Yurt 3. It was clean and well maintained. It was nice to camp yet still have beds to sleep on. The surrounding area has tons to see and do, or just relax on the peaceful and quiet campground. The views from the fire tower are incredible.

Stayed in a yurt for 2 days and it was absolutely wonderful! Peaceful, quiet and cozy. Staff here is terrific and very friendly. Nice fire tower to climb with gorgeous views and a series of trails to explore throughout. Cant wait to come back!

Great camp spot, great yurts! We were lucky enough to be there during the short blooming season for the “Lady’s Slippers” the rare New England flower! Staff is also amazing

This has to be the most quite and clean campground at which I've ever stayed. The sites are spaced very far apart so you rarely hear the other campers. The fire tower offers great views of the surrounding area along with sunrise/sunset views. My only suggestion would be to add showers.

The day use area is simple but lovely. Lots of open space for kids to run, plenty of sun and shade, picnic area, and an amazing view from the water tower.

We had Adirondack shelter site (lean to), awesome structure, we fit our whole tent under it, thankfully due to severe rain that rolled through. Site was well maintained, and bathrooms (porta johns) we easy to find. Awesome Fire tower to explore and views for days. Only complaint is no shower house.

Milan Hill is very clean and extremely quiet. The sites are spaced quite far apart unlike many privately owned campgrounds. The only negative is the lack of showers. I recommend viewing a sunrise or sunset from the fire tower. I highly recommend Milan Hill. Gord's General Store is close by if you need anything.Restrooms: The restrooms are strictly composting toilets but are very clean.Picnic area: The picnic area and fire tower are a great place to see the sunrise and sunset.

I visited the park in the off season to xc ski. A nice selection of trails on several spirals up, down and around the hill. The xc trails y nice and wide and I would say fun and not at all difficult. The only downside is that grooming is done by volunteers and they get there when they get there and so th 4 inches of powder was just that so not quite as zippy as I like it. I would love to ski here again.

Best separation between campsites of any State Park I have stayed at. Small campground makes for a quiet and peaceful stay. Don't miss the views from the fire watch tower-they are spectacular! Also has great cell service with a tower right next to the fire watch tower!Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome!

At the entrance to the reserve, we received a detailed explanation of the reserve, the observation towers on the fire and the whole environment, about what to do and what to see, including some interesting recommendations on what to see in the reserve and what to see in the surrounding area and further south. was fascinating.

We had the park to ourselves for a nice september night. It was nice to sleep in a yurt and not have to set up and break down our tent. The views from the tower and the unoccupied yurt 4 were fantastic. Mount Washington was its usual cloudy self. The staff was great and helped us plan our next day into Vermont including the best bakery to visit in Lancaster.

On top of a large hill only 10 sites, spaced apart. No electricity, no generators, no showers ahhhhh peace and quiet. The lady working was awesome!!! Sooo helpful. Also the cleanest and best outhouses that we have used.Restrooms: The cleanest and best smelling with hand sanitizer anywhere that we have visited.

Fantastic location! The ranger that is currently managing it has a lot of passion for the part and great plans to make it even better!

This another very nice state park. It is small wth 5 tent sites, 1 leanto and 4 yurts. Each site is well separated from the others. The top of the hill has a picnic area and sports a fire watch tower which can be climbed to observe the surrounding area. There is also 15 km of cross country ski trails that can be walked when mowed. This is a pet friendly park.

We spent from Friday, August 24 through Monday August 27, 2018 at this park camping. It was so much fun. Perfect for taking quiet walks with our dog and son or playing games at the campsite. The sunsets and sunrises from the fire tower were amazing. The views in general from the tower were outstanding. The man in the office, Rod, was wonderful. He was so helpful and was always in the office when the hours said he would be. What a great person to have manning the park house. He explained all about the hornet nest in his office to my son and was more than happy to explain which walking trails might be best for views.Be aware there are no shower facilities at this park and they have pit toilets (honestly they were cleaner than most of the regular park toilets I have been to!) Rod can give you a note to use the shower facilities at nearby Jericho State Park though (very clean as well!)We will definitely be back to camp at Milan Hill State Park again! :)
