I've been an off and on customer for years. They have a surprisingly good selection of gluten free foods. The prices are usually reasonable, and you never know what you will find. Senior discount day each week is also offered. And with the cost of food and things these days, that's a straight up blessing for many seniors struggling to get by. Right now they're also running charitable donations for the people of Israel. I appreciate the giving back they do.My Gluten Free people out there should definitely give them a try. Like you, I struggle to find local options. Ocean State has an aisle dedicated to it!

I moved to NH this year from Rhode Island, and was so pleasantly surprised to find an Ocean State Job Lot near me in Meredith! Friendly employees as usual, and always seem to have what I'm looking for! This past weekend, I searched high and low for a boot dryer and sure enough, Job Lot saved the day with a few left in stock! The cashier even helped me get $ back on a crazy deal I didn't know was happening. Highly recommend the Job a lot on NH Rt 104 in Meredith, NH!

I love this place. The prices, the different foods they have and all the varieties!! Excellent. I go often and there is ALWAYS something new. Their mission for veterans is outstanding! Great humorous staff. Go shopping!!

Tons of bargains but you have to take your time and walk around the store to find all of the hidden gems. It's been several years since we visited an Ocean State store but it still does not disappoint. Great bargains, great prices and highly recommended for those rainy days at the like.

There is a dude that works here and is constantly looking special he follows you around doesn't say hi or anything or make conversation with you and if you ask him if they have somthing he doesn't know and he's been there forever sad sad that customer service is this bad .....

Disappointed in this visit. Seemed like what used to be bargain prices were higher than other stores unless it was way off brand. Went for plant pots as I had bought some nice ceramic ones there a few years back and they were all plastic and more expensive than the big box stores.

I certainly found this Ocean State Job lot one of the best! I have visited several in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island area. It was really enjoyable shopping at this particular one in New Hampshire. It gave me everything that I am used to plus some. They're grocery area is far larger than the ones that I have visited. And because of this and the way that I eat I found many of the items at a good price and more than usual. I stocked up! The employees and cleanliness were spot on. Interesting store! Kind of like Big Lots, but with more stuff, I think. Lots of outdoor/lawn/garden kind of stuff. More clothes than I would have expected. A decent selection of food items, more than I expected! Prices are decently low, though a slightly higher that I would expect on the food. You can get out a little cheaper on most of the food stuff at Market Basket, I think, but I would still buy some food stuff here. They have interesting things to choose from. I will shop here again.

I went into this store recently. Many things I needed were there. I was happy that I bought a white cart w/wheels. I love this store!!! The staff is nice! I like seeing all their stuff to sell. It's fun to visit again and again. They will be selling Christmas stuff soon.

I love Job Lot hardly a week goes by that I don't purchase something. I'm from RI but wintering in NH and had a ship to store item delivered to the Merideth store. Personnel were pretty unhelpful. I was hoping to make a $300 + purchase but left the store because no one was able to tell me the price of the item I was considering. Hate leaving a negative review for one of my favorite stores but it is what it is.

Just discovered OSJL recently and thought we'd check it out and were quite pleased we did. All kinds of good deals on a wide variety of items from outdoor furniture to work clothes to food items. The cashier lady was very friendly and helpful. They accept manufacturer coupons and give a military discount, as well. Any store that gives veterans a break is a place we'll definitely be frequenting.

Would be cool if you updated your hours online to reflect the actual store hours. Waited 30 minutes for them to open at 9 am only to find a sign on the door stating seasonal hours begin at 10.The employees at this store are horrible. Arrived just after opening time and the doors will still shut. I stood there for a moment until I heard a voice from behind me telling me the doors are closed except for employees only (which I get if it was before/after shop hours, but it wasnt). I checked the time and it was definitely after the time stated on the door to be open.Finally the doors were opened and I went to grab the 1 thing I needed for work that day and went to the register, but no surprise, there was no employees at the register to ring me out. Nope, I found all the employees gathered around in a circle for a start of the day team meeting.Maybe with better employees who showed up on time, they'd be able to open on time and have employees available to help their customers.

I have been shopping here for years. These last couple of months the computer checkout system has been crashing. When I checked it happened to my card.My charges were pending. I told the manager , she was very nice said she take care of it. But when I went there another manager she couldn't do do anything for me.call corporate left a message. They never called me. Discounts galore and just about everything you can imagine and more. One of the best places to find gluten free items around in our area as well. You need to plan on spending time there! They will even special order items for you. You earn store $$'s to spend that don't expire. Make sure you have plenty of room in your vehicle for all your great finds!
